. I don't think there is any way we'll be able to finsh all 6 books in a month, but maybe get will into the 2nd book or into the 3rd. It's a start!

*holds up "welcome" banner* lol Well, like h_f, i'm now way ahead of the designated reading... *glances around nervously* J/k, lol. (You see, i read SS yesterday, then read CoS this afternoon and now i'm halfway through PoA...I know, i'm a fast reader, lol, but what can i say? It's summer vacation, and the HP books are certainly a good read. ) But i can still remember what happened in chapters 1-3 of SS, so i'll look forward to tomorrow.

Woo its friday! Come on peoples lets talk! Lol. What did you guys think about the first three chapters? I feel so bad for Harry! It kind of makes me sad that they left so much out in the movies. That is why I like the books better, but of course I love the movies as well because of Dan. Dudley needs to die! lol

Is anyone else going to join our discussion? Come on in, HP fans! Anyway, I know, the Dursleys are so mean to Harry! In a way, i feel sorry for them tho--they spend so much of their time being afraid someone will find out about Harry, and they don't really know how to recognize what's best in life... They think being successful means fame and fortune, when people really end up happier when they have family and friends who care about them, in my opinion.
Has anyone else wondered how they knew what address to put on Harry's letters? It's never exactly explained, as i recall... But we all know Dumbledore can do almost anything. One thing i like about these chapters is that they have a feeling of there being a wonderful mystery that hasn't quite been uncovered yet... Oddly enough, when Harry finds out he's a wizard, the magical world becomes the everyday world for him, so that feeling isn't there quite as much, tho of course the rest of the book is wonderful, i don't mean it like that. Hmm, it's hard to explain.

I agree! Its so exiting to see how he finds out hes a wizard, and then you feel so happy for him becuase he is overwhelmed with joy that he gets to leave the Dursleys lol. And I just figured that they knew what address to put on the letters because they know magic and yes Dumbledore can do anything!
We need more people to join in on the discussion! Haha oh well. Yay Harry Potter fans! Shall we discus the next few chapters in a few days?

Sorry guys. My mom told me I had to study for finals on friday and have been final exam studying ever since.

I never really quite got how they knew where he was. Has anyone wondered how in the world Hagrid got his magic in the umbrella? It's completely over my head. AND what did it say to Aunt Petunia in the letter (later foreshadowed in Book 5).

Lets keep reading 4-6. We'll continue this discussion until Thursday.

I think the handle part of Hagrids umbrella is his wand maybe? Thats just what I thought lol. Im not sure about the letter, I havent re-read book 5 lol. But we can discuss the next few chapters soon!

Hullo! I've just started rereading the series in preparation for when DH comes out. I'm actually right in the middle of chapter six right now. So, may I join? I may get ahead, but I'd really like to join in on the discussions.
