Beckett merely scoffed, clearly unimpressed by the young woman's attempts at self-righteous indignation. "I assure you, Mrs. Turner, that I do not need to invent sufficient grounds to have you hung," he said evenly. Looking up, he saw that the two marines he'd earlier sent for had arrived. "Escort this young woman to the quarters arranged for her and keep a close guard," he commanded curtly. Lowering his voice so that only the two could hear, he added, "If I find that any harm has come to her -or that she has caused harm to anyone else- you will be held personally accountable."
The soldiers saluted sharply and moved forward to seize Elizabeth by the arms.

"Talk of good business if you will," said Elizabeth, drawing herself up and pulling free of the soldiers' grasp if only for a brief moment. "What, pray, is your plan if you find that perhaps Will is unwilling to give up said assets? Somehow I wonder if you would welcome an assault from the Flying Dutchman, milord Beckett. You no doubt know its captain bears no lack of ill will against the East India Trading Company."
Quarters arranged? Not prison? Elizabeth found her mind racing. Was there no way she could get a message to Will, no way to...she abandoned the thought. If she told him to let her hang with her unborn child she very much doubted his course of action would change even fractionally. No, there was no way to stop Will coming.
She had to pray there was a way to avoid the role of being Beckett's leverage.

Silence. That was a strange, awkward moment that was now in the past.
Jack raised his eyebrows and titled his head up towards the sky, but looked upon Tia Dalma's dark brown face. "Might ye assist me in the reading of what was in the letter?"
He awaited Tia to answer, but his eye was taken captive by something on the ocean. Jack was forced to turn away from her and look upon the water ahead. "Bloody. . .not another duty. . ." Jack muttered observing a floating vessel coming their way.

((@ anyone-would anyone like to play Mr.Cotton while I am going out of town? He isn't a terribly huge role, so it won't be to much of a burden, but I don't want to be left behind when I get back))

((If he's desperately needed, I'll post something for him. ))
Barbossa immediately strode forward to meet the new arrivals. "Barbossa," he said simply, shaking the hand of the man he assumed to be the smaller ship's captain. "I be first mate aboard this vessel. You'll have to forgive the informality; our 'captain' seems to be...indisposed, at the moment." He quickly cast a glance toward the crewmen indicating that someone ought to go investigate as to the nature of said indisposition, then turned back to face Captain van Mahaur with an uneasy grin.
James Norrington, who had only just emerged from the gun deck, caught the look and quickly strode off toward the captain's cabin. Finding the doors to be securely shut, he knocked and waited for a reply. "Captain Turner?" he called out when no reply seemed to be forthcoming. "Will, the captain of the Siren's Call and his surviving crew have boarded the ship. I would assume that they would prefer to speak to you, rather than Mr. Barbossa."

"Indeed," Beckett replied dryly, his interest in the conversation rapidly waning. "I assure you, Mrs. Turner, that there is no need to worry. We are prepared to meet any threat posed by your husband, should he pose any at all. Recall that while you saw fit to threaten and connive in order to attain that which you desired, your husband was quite willing to follow the rules. He, at least, understands the value of good business."

Jack Sparrow stepped up to the new faces aboard the Black Pearl.
"Welcome aboard! I am Captain Jack Sparrow of the Flying Dutchman." Here, Jack pointed to the floating, massive vessel across the ocean with pride lifted high in his heavy under-lined eyes.

With his eyes set at a downcast angle and unflinching to the knock behind him, Will answered without a ounce of discomfort in his voice, "Thank you, James. I will be right out."
He placed one hand over his mouth and then dragged it down to his chin, trying to think logically over the situation that lay before him. Feeling the letter in his hand, he folded it and then placed it inside of his vest.
Something needed to be done and quickly.....however, Will would never respond by letter to Beckett.....that man did not deserve it...
Breathing in deeply, he re-gathered himself and opened his cabin doors. Walking toward the strangers aboard the Pearl, William stepped beside Barbossa and said, "I will take it from here, Hector. Thank you."
Shifting his eyes toward Henrick, he placed a hand near his chest and introduced himself, "I am Captain William Turner of the Black Pearl of which you are aboard. Who are you, sir?"

Elizabeth wrenched futilely at the soldiers' grip on her arms. She refrained from attempting a cutting parting comment - against her will she felt panic rising in her throat and her pride was too stiff to risk displaying it. Upon being ushered outside she forced herself to think through the situation, entirely ignoring the presence of a guard on either side. There seemed no way out!
She had to hope Will didn't come. She had to. But hope requires some belief in the thing you hope for - and Elizabeth knew irrevocably that of all the things to draw Will she was the one that would indelibly succeed.

"I assure you, sir, that we will not harm you or your men. The crew of the Pearl and Dutchman are loyal to anyone who means us no harm." Placing one hand on his belt buckle and resting it easily, he continued, "However, I have introduced myself, but we do not know your name as of yet."

"I should think I’m more than not all good, mate." Jack said, taking on a heavy thought to Mahaur's words.
He turned his neck when William spoke, and looked back to the 'new' comer who stood aboard The Black Pearl.
"Aye. . ." the pirate agreed with Will. "As I've said man, I am Captain Jack Sparrow of The Flying Dutchman!"
Stepping forward on his boots Jack took the man's hand as a greeting, "Now it's yer turn." The pirate gave a grin that sparkled a couple of gold-capped sharp teeth. Not as mutated as before, but they were still what one would consider 'unnatural'.
Jack stared down Mahaur when the sound of rushing static was heard and it tickled Jack's hand. He would let it go, if the man didn't speak. . .or maybe he would let it go either way.

"His name's Captain Henrik van Mahaur," Barbossa quickly interjected, casting Jack an annoyed glance. "The Siren's Call be his ship. What say ye be lettin' go of our esteemed guest, Jack, an' we all convene in the captain's cabin, hmm? A chair an' a drink or two would like as not put everyone a bit more at ease for negotiations."

Will nodded to Barbossa, "Aye, a drink in my cabin. Come gentlemen and we will discuss our matters." Motioning for Henrick and his crew to follow, along with Jack and Barbossa, William made his way to the large black doors that lead to his chamber.
"Please take a seat," he said as he held open one of the doors.

Upset that he didn't give Mahaur just a simple, ginger shock, Jack let go of the man's hand and followed William in to the Pearl's cabin.
Stepping in and swooping his hat off to land on the nearest object, Sparrow took a seat. With a grinning smug on his face, Jack rested his head back on the chair.
"Got to give it to ye mate,. . .she looks in decent standard." said Jack to Will indicating that all his 'original' junk had been moved, stolen or maybe even burned. Either way, with it all gone like this, the Captain looked proudly upon The Pearl, for she always was beautiful to his eyes.

Smirking at Jack's comment about the Pearl, he did not respond, but instead shook his head.
As the others entered the cabin, Will stood and called for James, "James! Fetch these gentlemen a drink."
Focusing his attention back on Henrick, he aswered, "Well, for one thing, Mr. Mahaur, you now have no ship and I can offer you that. Join me and my crew aboard the Pearl. You will all have somewhere to sleep, food, and of course help us in the protection of pirates from the East India Trading Company." Will's face was solemn and serious in saying all this....however, his mind continued to shift back to Elizabeth and her situation.
