Morwen finished eating and decided to explore bit more. She went down to the forest floor and followed a few different groups of elves floating from place to place. First she found herself by a small river, next, what seemed to be a marketplace. Finally, she found what she had been hoping to find: a training ground. There were a few sparring rings and fencing grounds at one end, and a long row of hassocks for target practice. Giddy as a hare, she found her way back to her bower, grabbed her bow, quiver, and vambrases and headed right back. She took a shooting range at the far edge so she would be less conspicuous in her green wool dress and with her less-than-average height. She began to shoot at the target, making quite a few. As she went to collect her arrows, she noticed a dark-haired elf watching her. She blushed and tried to ignore him. Her accuracy went way down as she felt his eyes watching each arrow to its target.

Bredol would not be quiet and Deawen figured he wanted to get out so Deawen found a halter and a rope and led Bredol out of his stall she tied both ends of the rope to the halter as reins. " a quick ride will do me good " she swung up on his back and they sat calmly for a second before Bredol began to rear up Deawen pulled back on the rope reining him in but he fought back Deawen just let go of her riens and Bredol took off like an arrow through gardens and courtyards. he gallopped as if the very hounds of mordor were at his heels Deawen just held on to his mane. Bredol showed no signs of slowing down as they neared a training ground. Elves stopped to watch this crazy Stallion as he headed straight for a tall fenceThat separated the training ground from the other parts of the forest. "bredol NO!" Deawen screamed as she saw the fence But bredol charged faster his breath came out in huge puffs of vapor. the fence neared Deawen shut her eyes and held on Bredol stopped his fore hoof left the groundall wieght shifted to the back like a ripple he sprang up, Deawen could not control what happened to them now but her wings sprang out to steady herself. Up and over the fence they went Deawen didn't notice her wings as Bredol gaited away from the fence dripping in sweat but holding his head up with pride. Elves on the training ground stopped and stared not at the horse that just jumped a fence but At Deawen outstretched wings Bredol stopped and Deawen thought the flutter behind her was her cloak but instinctivly looked around and cursed. her wings tucked so they were invisible. Deawen blushed deeply and dismounted." This day couldn't get any worse could it?" Deawen sighed as the elves stood undesisive wether to confront deawen or to walk away. but Deawen decided for them she led Bredol away in embarrassment but not the least undignified. Deawen put Bredol back into his stall and went to find Sen.

Morwen (on the other side of the training fields) became more and more self-conscious. She knew that she was not a great archer, but the elf seemed content to watch her start to flounder. At one point, when the majority of her arrows were snug in the ground, she turned and met his gaze. She had to look away before he did. Once she did look away, he turned and left.

*Sen awoke early, and prepared for the day to come. He had a lot to teach Deawen, and they did not have long to spend uninterupted. He grabbed a fruit from the table, and walked slowly down the stairs of his lodgings, on his way to find Deawen.*

Morwen hurried back to her rooms, away from all the staring and whispering. Was it really so unusual for there to be a human from Rohan in Lothlorien? She shook her head, chuckling to herself. Yes, of course it is. She tossed her bow aside and decided to try and find Parmatur.

*Sen nodded in return.*
Good morning, lady Deawen. Are you ready for today? There is much we must do, and very little time to do it. Follow me on up; I was just about to go and find you.
*Sen turned back up the stairs, and beckoned for her to follow.*

Deawen nodded and followed him up the stairs. SHe felt a since of Dread seep into the pit of her stomach. she felt the fire around her quiver as she pushed the dread away. she followed at a respectful distance. her face and neck were flushed halfway up the stairs she decided that she would not have alot of stairs in her home.

Wandering through the city, Morwen began to relax a bit. It took her over an hour to locate Parmatur, now dressed in dark green robes. "Westu Parmatur hal!" she said with a smile and a wave. Parmatur looked up from the book he was writing in. "Ah, Morwen, mae govannen! I was just going to come and see if you were awake after I finished writing these notes from yesterday..." Morwen looked over his shoulder and saw his curly writing. It was slightly overwhealming, like learning to read the runes carved into the floor at Meduseld. "Well, I actually had some questions for you, before we begin another day-long question-and-answer session. How are you at recognizing magic rings?" His face went slightly pale, but Morwen smiled and assured him everything was fine. The headed back to her part of the city.

*Sen reached the top, and turned, once he was in the main room of his lodgings. He stood before her, and bared his arm. Faint scars could be seen all along its length, and Sen began to teach.*
First, you must know that the power that flows through your veins and mine is like a river. It must have a source, and it inevitably has a end. To control it, you must dam in the river, lest it run wild and out of control. This, sadly, has been your problem in times past; I will seek to teach you, to help you. Watch closely. This is what happens when I do not have control.
*All of a sudden, a brilliant fiery light blazed out of his bared arm, and a furious pressure assaulted Deawen's ears. She could feel heat too, though it did not harm her; it was as if it was a raging inferno behind a closed door. A terror swept over Deawen as well, as if all the darkness in the world was present in that blinding light. The light died, and Sen continued.*
Now, when I put my power behind that dam, and control its flow, this is what happens.
*Like blood flowing through his veins, a soft glow lit Sen's arm from within. It spread from his shoulder to his fingertips, where small flames, only the size of a candle's, danced in many colors on his fingers. They were soft, almost like the gentle twinkling of stars, before Sen put them out, and the glow dissapeared.*
Now, we must seek to place a dam in your river. It can only be done in your mind, by you. What I will do now, Gandalf did to me. I must warn you; it will not be pleasant. Will you continue with me, Deawen? I wish you no harm in this, my lady.

Deawen Mentaly set up Barriers without relising they were present the rageing inferno sparked old memories she felt her gift stir. " I don't Think I have a Choice In the matter " Deawen said defientaly Her gift flowed freely inside her like a mountain stream wherever conveinant. her gift seemed to be readying defenses against whatever Sen planed to do. she took a step forward to show she was not afriad though she was uncertain. She trusted Sen with her life but she could not help her instinctive thoughts of doubt.

Good. Now remember, this is me. I am the only one in this room, and we are in Lothlorien. We will begin.
*Suddenly, Deawen's vision went black, and only after a few minutes did it begin to clear. She was in a stone room, with only a few flickering torches in wall brackets for light. A dark voice from behind her spoke; it was familiar. It was Maleon.*
I see you have finally awoken. It was quite difficult to get you back, but I did. You are mine, Deawen. Even if it is only to get to Sen, your worthless carcass will do the job. What? You don't even have the slightest resistance? Ha! You are weak, Deawen. You don't even try to attack me. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

Deawen tensed as the darkness passed over her eyes she didn't care for the dark. Her gift stirred suddenly flashing light through her Medallion. When the darkness cleared and she was no longer in lothlorien her breath caught in her throat making it hard to breathe. " Sen? ' she hissed in her confusion. She spun around to face the fimilar voice, " This is not real..." Deawen said slowly remembering what Sen had told her.
though his words echoed in her head Doubt snaked it's way into her thoughts she didn't remember anything that could have led to this, though Maleon was clever enough to decive her... Maleon's words sank in like salt on a wound." you are not real " Deawen said again glancing at the room around her " this is an Illusion nothing more I am still in lothlorien and Sen is the only other person in this room." her voice broke in her uncertainty.

*Maleon laughed.*
But how can you be sure? The only way is to try your feeble power. I'll even let you attack me! You are weak, Deawen. You have this chance to try and kill me, and you pass it up. Worthless fool of a wasted bloodline!

Deawen's gift rose to her limits battering her barrirers trying to be free. but Deawen held it down her mind was turning every word, gesture, and memory. but at the mention of a wasted bloodline Deawen's gift broke the barrirer and like a spring of fire, her gift poured from her it crawled across the floor snaking up the walls. Deawen's Wings unfolded and reared menecingly. she took her two first fingers and drew a circle then thrust them forward as several bolts of lightning shot aross the room striking Maleon several times with enough force to Kill twenty men. even Deawen was surprised at her force but yet she was sad that her gift was so dangerous fear was her avatar.

*Abruptly, the rock walls dissapeared, as did Maleon. Sen was standing there, his hand glowing as he absorbed the force of Deawen's lightning bolts. There was a sad look on his face, though for what reason it was not clear. His voice broke, as he spoke to Deawen.*
And that... that is where you must learn, Deawen. Learn to control the pain and anger, to not... to not let your fear or hatred show. That is where you must put up the dam, and not let any of those forces out. Turn them back in upon themselves, and do not waste them on your enemy. That is what they want; they want your concentration foiled, to distract you. Do not let them. Be sure of purpose, and of heart. That way, no matter what agony and suffering you go through, your mind is always clear. Forgive me, Deawen, for I have hurt you.
*Sen sat down, and put his face in his hands, and wept.*
