Haldir and Myrtle aka Mrs. Haldir, arrived linked arm and arm. Haldir stopped in his tracks causing his wife to do the same. He was not too fond of large social gatherings and they sometimes made him a little uncomfortable. He wasn’t very social. "Will you relax," she said turning to face him. "I do not understand why you get so worked up over these things." Haldir looked down at his wife and replied, "My lady, you know how I feel about these festivals." Myrtle sighed. "You will get over it. You just need to relax a little, there is nothing to worry about. All I am asking for you to at least try to socialize just a little bit, who knows, maybe you will have fun." Haldir took a deep breath and said, "If it makes you happy, then I'll do as you wish." She smiled and took him by the hand. "Come, let us go join the others." The two headed down a small hill towards the party tree. "Greetings everyone!" she called out to all the party goers. "Sorry we are late."

Esmerelda walked up, staring in awe at the the beautiful party tree, taking in her new surroundings. "Wow" she thought to herself, as she made her way over to the small group. "Hello everyone!" she called cheerily "It's a lovely day isn't it. This party was such a good idea" she said, as a couple fireworks went off behind her.

The other four hobbits were looking around the party, engaging in casual conversation.
Pippin tapped Prisca on the shoulder and then pointed to the food table. Looking over, Prisca saw that the other three hobbits were already heading over to the table. "Alright," Prisca laughed, "Let's go."

Daerka entered the shade underneath the party tree where a group of fellow hobbits were standing. "Hullo everyone!" she called with a small wave. "Lovely party, isn't it?" She smiled whilst eyeing the dance floor with a look of longing.

"Yes, I hope it lasts awhile!!" responded Tiger Lily anxiously. "I'm just going to be in and out, so the longer, the better." She noticed Tigerlily's wistful expression, and also wished that more people would start to show up. She couldn't wait for the party to really get started.
