Yeah, maybe you guys are right about the action-- I think I might have backed out of my head in the cinema and all I heard was slash-bang ;) .. I dunno..

JF, I agree with you on both accounts (bout Gibbs looking like a Joshamee and Tinkerbell being around in the Disney films when you need her). :-D
Ah I see. I thought we were talking about the wedding.  (laughs) Well Mast-of-Buckland started talking about the wedding and then when everyone started talking, I got very confused. (laughs) Sorry. As for that scene at the end of the movie...I would agree that it was lustful. That was their one and only scene where I felt that way about a scene of their's though, so I can forgive it. Plus they were married at that point and it was rated PG 13 (not that it was anything major anyway). Actualy you can see much worse things on prime time television programms or daytime dramas. So I forgive them. :) (shrugs) If they had been like that all throughout the series though I would have had a problem with it. Just my opinion though.

Dark Queen of Angmar, Oh okay. Well that makes a bit more sense. Thanks for answering my question. :-D

Yeah, I agree. My problem is not really what it was, but who it was between. It just doesn't seem to fit the Will and Elizabeth we have been watching for the past 3 films. It just seemed a bit out of place really.

Guys, they were sharing a romantic moment together. For me, Will kissing up her leg was his way of saying goodbye to her, wanting to remember every last inch of her skin. I thought it was such a beautiful scene. Raw, pure love! Remember, Elizabeth was ready to make love to Will back in Dead Man's Chest already as she admitted behind prison bars, to her father's surprise! And they weren't even married back then ;)

Well it's a matter of opinion, but I'd like to think a guy I wasn't going to see for an eternity, would kiss me in the proper place. ;) As I said, I didn't find it romantic. And I think the whole "I'll need the other one" and the appearance of "the leg" was a little bit of information, we probably didn't need.

I must admit I never got the impression from the scene in DMC, I just thought she was stating a simple fact, that they would have been married and together had it not been for the bars.

@Drew's Destiny: Actually, I was referring to the scene on the island, not the wedding. I actually thoght that the wedding reminded me of The Princess Bride (I'm not exactly sure why)

What exactly is a "proper" place to a couple who are deeply, passionately in love and married?

As for the scene itself. I thought it was pretty tame. Will and Elizabeth are about to be seperated for 10 years. I don't think they're gonna sit and read a book or knit a sweater.

He'd probably already kissed her on the lips several times before he kissed up her leg. There's a "proper" place for kissing? I didn't know that. Had she only meant that they would have been married already had it not been for the bars, her father wouldn't have reacted as shocked and surprised. The undertone of that line was "I would have humped you right here and now had it not been for these bars"!

and did you notice that Will has two left feet? because he stuck his left one out, and then asked for the other one, and Liz stuck her left leg/foot out. i thought it was weird that Will would have such an impediment..

Erm... isn't on the lips the normally considered place for a kiss to be planted? Or am I wrong in thinking that?

I don't intend in getting into a debate about where people should or shouldn't kiss, as there are probably things I don't really want to know about.

Moving on.....

----------------------------

I never noticed that Darky. Heh, how odd.

Did anyone notice how the uniforms for the Navy had changed? Or at least the men under Beckett's command. Blue and gold. The colours also matched the colour of his ship. Like his own private army.

Yeah lips are where most people kiss but I've never considered any part of the body as the one and only 'proper' one nor have I heard anybody express it like that before either so I was just a little taken aback that's all

Why is it that whenever a person of a different opinion enters these threads to sort of balance the conversation a little bit and actually get a discussion going rather than a swoon fest where everybody's holding hands singing Kumbayah, people don't want to talk about the subject anymore?! This wasn't really personally targeted towards you JF but just in general here on AU!

There's no such thing as "normal" within the confines of a loving, passion filled relationship. Take it from one who knows from experience (past and current). It doesn't make you immoral or a bad person. It's just another way of expressing that love.

If I wasn't to see my boyfriend for ten years. You can bet yer bottom dollar I'd be fitting in as much into that one day as I could. Ten years is a very, very long time to be parted from the one you love.

I think Eru (myself included) there have been incidents on here (and other boards) where debates have led to relations being severed and friendships ruined, and some of us (me) who perhaps can get a little bit too "into" a subject, are afraid of taking said subject a bit too far, and are afraid of being offended or offending. And really, over something that is, when you think about it, a pretty silly subject (brought on by myself), it's not worth it really.

It's like in RL conversations. There are times when one just feels the time is right to shut up.

I guess that's were we differ, as I have an opinion and I fully intend to express it. If people don't like it, then that's not my problem.

This isn't like RL conversations though because in RL people are actually allowed to share their opinions without getting warned, suspended or banned

A discussion or debate doesn't have to turn ugly if everybody would just respect the fact that everyone holds different views and opinions. If everyone was truly comfortable and sure of their stance on things there is absolutely no need for them to take it personal when their opinion and belief is questioned

It happens though even if it is not intended. As it has been mentioned many times before, it's a lot harder on the internet to judge the feelings behind certain words and phrases, and innocent as they may seem to most people, to someone else, they read them wrong.

@ Phoenix - Well, I am like that in RL. But I try to be more tactful on here for the reasons I stated in my above post.

Anyway, you both don't mind the W&E scene, and I do just because it doesn't seem to fit in with what we have seen of W&E before. I may have been missing signs that this may not be the case, but for me it appears to be so. I don't utterly hate it, I just find it a slightly weird scene, as to me, it didn't really add anything, ot help to convey the love between them. But that's just me. ;)
