Hitching up her volumous skirts, Daerka made her way through the crowd gathered under the party tree. The air chilled her with excitement as she glanced around for people she might know. A curly head bobbed in front of her and then turned on the spot. "Primula!" she cried with a smile.

Ben wandered slowly through the main party field, just enjoying the atmosphere. Suddenly he heard a voice he recognised cut through the air, shouting to someone else. With a smile he headed in the direction the voice had come from.

Primula turned, but at the same time Daerka caught a familiar sight. Benjamin was walking toward her through the crowd under the tree. She smiled brightly and waved. "Hullo there!" she called.

Goldie had had a good night's rest and, though tied up with her family for most of the morning, was happy to rejoin the festivities in the afternoon. She walked up to the tree, looking around to see what was going on today.

Ben raised his hand in greeting as he walked up to Daerka. "Good evening! How are you? Enjoying the festivities I trust." He smiled cheerfully, and pulled an apple from his pocket, which he promptly bit into.

"I'm quite all right," Daerka replied,"The festivities are definitely keeping me busy. Have you been down to the party field yet?"

Edward and Poppy wandered through the field over to the giant Party tree. They sighed at the beautiful decorations - bright and colorful lanterns on every branch and festive streamers floating in the air. I bet it's even more beautiful at night! Poppy thought.

Then the couple spotted two familiar faces and headed over to Benjamin and Daerka. "Hello you two! I don't think I've seen you yet!" Poppy said happily.

Primula (being a little slow and absent minded) took a while to noticed where the voice that was calling her was coming from, and after turning several times, she realized it was coming from Daerka.
She called out her name, and cheerfully hopped on over to her as she spoke to another hobbit, Benjamin, she recognized him as.
"I'm frightfully hungry" said she upon arriving "How are you two?" she asked smiling.

Quite a group had joined Ben and Daerka, who smiled at the whole lot of them. "Hello everyone! Haven't seen any of you around here yet," she said, "Nor have I met your handsome companion Poppy.." Daerka trailed off with a sly grin.

Poppy grinned at Daerka as she eyed Edward. If Edward was capable of blushing, he would have done so now.

"Well, everyone, this is my..." Poppy trailed off, looking for the right word.

"Protector," Edward finished for her, with a sly smile.

"Yes, you could say that," Poppy laughed. "His name is Edward Cullen." She patted him on the shoulder as she said this.

"Have you all been enjoying the party?" Edward asked. "We were just admiring the beautiful decorations!"

"I see," Daerka said slowly, a ghost of a sly grin still gracing her face, "Pleasure to meet you Edward." She gave a bob of a cursty before replying to Edward's question. "I'm having a brilliant time. Everything has been quite enjoyable. I think I may go have a dance actually."

"Oh, Daerka! May I join you!?" asked Prumila practically jumping up and down.

"Have fun dancing!" Poppy winked.

Then she and Edward set off, just meandering through the party, enjoying all the sights and smells, waving at anyone they knew.

Elenriel and Legolas made their way hand in hand through the crowd. "Such a festive atmosphere!" Elenriel exclaimed happily as she admired the decorations.

Legolas nodded. "The Shire-folk have certainly outdone themselves." he added.

"Let's see if we can find someone we know." Elenriel stated as she scanned the crowd. Catching sight of two familiar forms, she instantly began to call to them. "Poppy! Edward!" she called, hoping to get their attention.
