I noticed celebwen hasn't even replied to her challenge with you.

Yeah. She is a different time zone. So she is one really really late at night, or really really early in the morning, my time. I'm not too concerned about it. There are good days and bad days. On days and off days. Etc.
I very much dislike to admit this, but, the truth be told, there are even days where I don't open Photoshop.
Erurainon, do you use textures?

Sometimes I don't just because I'm not in the mood or have nothing to do.
Other times, I open it even if I don't need to.. for strange reasons unknown to me.

Yup, of course I use textures Recently I've decided sometimes it is good to use less textures and more just color changing(by making mutliple layers of different colors annd different layer properties). I've actually been happy with some of my recent banners(see my request thread).
I get almost all the textures I use from JF's paved with stars site.

I get mine from so many different places.
That is the reason I asked. I have been trying to figure out how you do that effect on your banners.

Oh yes, I think I remember that tutorial site. Those are the reasons we have websites because we are never going to be able to remember them all.
And, Smeagollum vx. Celebwen continues..

yeah, I was bored and looked through some today.. but most that can be used for sigs and icons are the kind that..well, let's just say they aren't AUs style.
But for blends I found some cool things..
Oh yeah... I really like the new thing you did. The keys to success.
EDIT: do you have any good text tutorials or something? I can't do too much with text on my banners..

Find cool text, and just experiment. That is what I do.

Bleh I've tried to experiment and stuff, but it never looks good. I'd love it to blend in and stuff, but it just doesn't.
Usually, I try to set it to overlay, and if that doesn't work I just fade it, or add a photofilter.

I love your new banner!! Erurainon did a great job!
Does that mean I get to steal the one I made?

Yeah, I love this one. Erurainon does an awesome job. He made me another, but I liked this one a bit better.
Sure, you can have it.

Thank you!
I am wondering. In Photoshop, if you right click the image you are working on, you can duplicate the image. I find myself duplicating a banner 2 or 3 types until the final work. Does anyone else do this?

Can I join? I absolutely adore Photoshop!
smeagollum, I do that all the time! I always duplicate layers... and when I go too far, I look back at it orginally, and I'm like ewww... not enough contrast! *goes mad with layers again*

I'm sure you can join! Just start talking.
Yes, I do that, I was talking about how I duplicate the whole entire document (all of the layers). There is a title bar at the top of what you are working on that says the name of the document (Usually "Untitled"), and, if you right click on it, a little menu comes down that says: Duplicate, Image Size, [something else]. I find myself clicking on the Duplicate a lot because, if I don't like how it turns out, I just exit out of it and go back to the orginal.
