Raedoc immediately shook the ropes off and rotated his wrists, working out some of the soreness. Tying the bonds in a loose circle, he set them on the floor beside him, close at hand.

"I have another dagger the guards didn't find." he said.

Ruth Ann looked at Raedoc with disbelief. "Ok," she said, "I am going to have to learn from you where to place your weapons. They took all of mine."

Kith resisted being thrown into the cart with all his strength. He hit, he kicked, he even bit, but still the guards were shoving him closer to the cart. In desperation he hooked his foot around the gaurd behind him, and, tugging, fell backwards. The result was what he desired; the gaurd fell beneath him, momentarily freeing Kith. This was all Kith needed. He jumped up with the speed only adrenneline could supply, and pushed his way through the gaurds. The guards, however, were not to be taken so lightly. One caught Kith by his bonds and threw him to the ground, only to have him hoisted up again as other guards shouted protests. He spit in thier faces, cursing all of them. The gaurd whom he had tripped dealt him a blow that split his lip and left him gasping for breath. With one final heave, the gaurds tossed him into the cart, and firmly locked the door.

Kith slowly rose to a sitting position. The small woman held a knife, and was coming towards him. He bared his teeth and shot her a look, but all the woman wanted to do was sever his bonds. With her intentions clear, Kith proferred his wrists, and let the Ruth Ann cut the rope. He found himself muttering gratitude. Ruthnak, the man who had stared down Kith and fought the gaurd, offered another knife.

Of course, Kith had one knife that escaped detection. He wasn't about to give it up though, not yet. If it came down to a fight, Kith wanted his own knive, to be sure that his hide would be the one saved.
