Just a bit 14 smilies, 29 words in caps and 98 explanation marks. Could this be a new MB squee record?
Interesting fact I found in my brother's doctor who magazine Sam Tyler from Life on Mars (the same actor as the one who plays the master) was named Tyler after Rose from Doctor Who, the writer couldn't think of a name, and asked his daughter who was a massive Doctor Who fan. So it's very fitting that he now has a part
Quote: The HUG!!!! I nearly died.
The Hug doesn't compare to the serious eyesex those two were having while Jack was in the red glowy room! I almost died!

Eyesex. That's a new word for the day, and not entirely a bad one, considering it was the Doctor and Jack who were involved .
What's all this about a watch? Is it somthing from previous seasons? I've heard a bit about the master (Isn't he a timelord too?) but nothing about a watch. Man, I wish I could watch these episodes so I could squee along side you all.

Yes, the Master is a Time Lord and yes, the watch is very important in the plot. It was from Human Nature/The Family of Blood as well. The watch holds the Time Lord biology when he wishes to rewrite his biology to, say, a human.

Why yes, I DID enjoy this episode. Was it THAT obvious? Ha ha ha!
Miss Kess, the fact that you COUNTED my ... erm ... excitedness ... should get you an award of some sort. XD I quite honestly didn't think it was that long... But, hey...give me a break. It was JACK!!! JACK!!!!!
But OH YES, the EYESEX! THAT was just too hot. Man, the sexual tension between them from the moment the Doctor saw Jack on his screen...WOW.
But yeah, the eyesex...totally unbelievable. I agree.
Actually, anything between the Doctor and Jack is unbelievable. I quite honestly would be very happy if it was just Jack and the Doctor. Because I honestly didn't pay any attention to Martha.
Yeah, Nauriel...when the show comes to the US in July...you'll understand. It's something from the past couple episodes as Mr. Frosty said.
You know what I need?
I want to find to animated avvies from this episode. One of the Doctor, right after they land and he's like "We really shouldn't be here. We should really, really, really leave" and then he looks at Martha and smiles like the geeky dork he is. XD That smile nearly killed me.
AND I need and animated avvie of the Jack/Doctor hug.
By the by Miss Kess, I like that avvie of yours. Even though I'm not Martha/Doctor.
Okay, I REAAAAAAALLLLY need to stop writing novels in this club.

Yes, I truly and honestly enjoy your novels. They're what makes my world go around. Ok that's pushing it but still. They're absolutely hilarious.

Ah! The suspense is killing me!! Can't wait til next weeks episode.
I HEART THE MASTER!! I also HEART finding out more about the time war and Gallifrey, especially with the visuals this week. Quite a treat to get to see gallifrey and the mini-master.
And the bit where we found out more about how and why The Doctor and The Master got their names. Finally, after decades of Dr Who, they decide to think up a reason.
I wonder what will become of the master, at the end of next episode. If he'll acquire a TARDIS, or die, or what...
I'm really curious about the drums, and what they are.
Argh! Suspense is still killing me... I think I'll have to go on life support until next weekend...
(okay, maybe that's taking things a bit literally.)

i loved last night's episode - i agree with celebwen, it was great finding out more about gallifrey; and i thought the master was great. and it makes a nice change to have a finale without daleks.
this bit was my favourite:
the doctor: it's like when you fancy someone and they don't know you exist. jack looks at martha and notices the way she's looking at the doctor jack: you too, huh?
i thought that was a lovely little moment.

Oh my god. I loved that episode. The music is fantastic, I really hope the soundtrack for that season comes soon. And Martha has risen up a bit in my eyes. And I loved the Master's insults to the American President. But honestly I really really really hope the Doctor doesn't have to regenerate. That'll mean my dearly beloved and handsome David Tennant would have to leave the show. Has there been any word about the next series and if David is staying? And his TARDIS! What will happen to it?
Sidenote: Seeing Gallifrey was really nice. I really wanted to know what his home planet would look like.

^ i think david tennant probably will stay on, because i doubt they'd have been able to keep his departure secret for so long, especially as the regeneration would presumably take place in the final episode on saturday. a shock regeneration would be quite nice though - it spoiled the end of series one a little bit, already knowing that christopher eccleston was leaving.
whenever tennant does leave, i want the next guy to play the doctor like basil in basil the great mouse detective. i watched it yesterday, and that sort of character would be perfect.

Now I think about it, yes. It's such a relief. The daleks were getting a bit predictable, really.
Firstly, the doctor would discover something he'd faced in a previous episode of the serious had, in fact, not been completely destroyed.
Next, he would find out that the Daleks were behind it. Well, a relatively small number of daleks. He would then find out that the grand scheme was to bring back more daleks.
Then he would foil that scheme, sacrificing something along the way, and believe the daleks gone for good.
You're completely right Ethel. Nice change.

I'm not too sure about further series. Acoording to the Sun, there's gonna be series 4, also with DT, and then it's gonna stop. But that is the Sun, so you gotta take everything with a pinch (or rather lorry full) of salt.
So.... The last episode... Only just got to watch it cos I was at a sleepover on Saturday and my friends are attempting (and failing) to descifigeek me. But yes ABSOLUTLEY BRILLIANT episode! Saxon was glorious, obviously, and he even has his own screwdriver thingy! Maybe the two screwdrivers could mate and have little screwdrivers! [/weirdpsychobrainwave] No Daleks were involved, which is good, and little floating knife ball things are way cooler. Gallifrey was incredibly prettiful, I wanna go on holiday there! Oo.. and the Doctor trying to help the Master cos he didn't want to be alone was really heartbreaking. So was Martha and Jack's comments that ethel picked up on.
Concernign the Basil the mouse comment, a) I positivley love that movie and b)yes, absolutley perfect
And MB, we love your novels to bits, really! I hope there is many more to come!
Ooooo.... Doctor who and copious amounts of coffee have made me very excitable today!
