Neville and Luna are sorta joining now with Dumbledore's Army and the Order of the Phoenix. I mean they have come closer to the Trinity but close friendships just can't be shared by many.. the more people the looser the friendship ties... But Luna and Neville do deserve some credit and recognition (though Neville always annoyed me just slightly... wth his toad, lol)

We thought they WERE going to come closer as friends but in book 6, Neville and Luna both played minor characters, Luna being more of a comic relief and I highly doubt we'll be seeing the Trio + Neville & Luna any time soon, seeing as though it's likely that Luna won't be part of the immediate war, and Neville will only be involved for his revenge on Bellatrix Lestrange.

I'm not as disappointed, the only disappointment with Tonks for me is the constant purple wig. Blegh. I WANT PINK, SPIKEY PINK!

Well well, as I said I think Neville and Luna deserve recognition, but they're not my favorites. They're too strange to fit in, I'm afraid. Rowling would have a hard time making it seem plausible - to me at least ;-) I haven't read the half-blood prince yet, so can't really say much there.

I'm getting excited about the movie... perhaps I should watch some trailers.. :P

ViviElessar, Thank you so much for posting those pictures for us! :-D I have a question though, there is a picture under "July" that is to the left of the one of Tonks and it is of Harry and...? Yeah, my question is who is the other boy (young man) in that picture?
I am not dissapointed by Tonks thus far...over all. As Kitoky said though I am dissapointed that we have yet to see her with her signaute bubble gum pink hair. I think I read somewhere though that that is to come though, so I supose I shall just have to be patient. Other than that I am not dissapointed concerning Tonks. However I really did not go in expecting alot of particular things (because as I have said before I have only read small parts of the books  :hide:) That might be part of why I am not dissapointed. Why are you dissapointed about Tonks?

Personaly I must say that I am glad that Luna and Neville are not part of the trio. I really like Neville, Luna is very quickly growing on me, and I am really warming up to the idea of them as a couple. However several people that I know have friends and then they have best friends. The trio are each other's best friends and Luna and Neville (along with several others) are their friends. It would seem odd to me to add anyone (even Neville and Luna) to their oh so tight bond. Now ocne again I have not read too much of the books so perhaps I am missing some big scenes that would change my mind. However based on what I have read and watched thus far I just feel like the trio is good the way it is. Just my opinion though and I do understand where everyone else is coming from. :-D

I do believe that that is supposed to be a Young Severus in the memory that Harry intrudes in---I don't know if you've read the books or not, but this particular scene is demonstrating Snape's memories from his years at Hogwarts.

Kitoky, Oh okay. Yes I have read a part of that. :-D Those should be some good scenes in the movies. :bounce: I also saw that we are going to see some of James and Sirius (of course). I am kind of looking forward to that. Well actauly I am looking forward to see Sirius but not so much James. I really do not know why but James gets on my final nerve sometimes. I still am interrested in seeing those scenes though. :-D
Thank you so much for answering my question! Wow...he looks...cute. :swoon:

Glad everyone is enjoying the pictures :D

I was a bit disappointed in Tonks but once I saw the TV spot where she changes her appearance, I really loved what I saw. The only thing that bothers me is that she doesn't have the bubblegum pink hair like in the book. I'm hoping that there's a scene in the movie where she has it.

They NEED to establish the bright pink bubble-gum spikey hair for HBP. I mean, the moment where Harry spots Tonks and Remus holding hands at the funeral is the EASIEST cameo they could film.

Drew's Destiny: Er---xD I don't quite understand how it's possible to like Sirius but not James? They are quite one and the same, basically a 1960's Weasley Twins. Inseparable. I've always thought James was the more mature one, so I always had the knacking of liking him better, especially after the episode with Remus's transformation and James saving Snape from an untimely death.

ViviElessar, Ah yes we are quite in agreement on that one. Actualy that is the only compliant with concerning Tonks that I have seen/read from anyone online, thus far. Thanks for answering my question. :-D

Kitoky, Ah, that is perfectly allright. Half of the time I do not understand it myself. I supose that it kind of bothered me that James was...um pampered...spoiled and yet he (for a long time) was a trouble maker, rule breaker, and mean towards Snape (as far as I have read mainly because he was into Dark Arts and good at postions) when there is no mention of why he would do such (that I have thus far). I mean I do not remember reading anywhere where it said that he was a trouble maker or rule breaker because it was his way of lashing out for issues out home or because no-one at the shcool liked him or because he was forced into doing something that he did not want to do or anything else of that sort. It was just like he wanted to be rude and a trouble maker and rule breaker for no reason and that does not make alot of sense to me. I can appreciate the troubled/anti hero characters (Snape and especialy Draco Malfoy for example) but I want to be able to look and ask why (and find an answer as to why). No offence meant to any of his fans though. Now you are right and he did end up saving Snape so I'll give him a few points for that. :-D He could have his moments. He is just not my favorite charcter. I do not hate him but he can annoy me sometimes.
Sirus could be nearly as mean (if not worse) than James. However I could find a reason why. He had major family issues. Being burnt off of the family tree probabley would not put me in a good mood either. So I try to empathize with him but sometimes I even find that hard to do. Truth be told I have not always liked Sirus either. :hide: It was when I started lurking in this thread (I do alot more reading in this particular thread than I do talking) that I began to like Sirius. So perhaps James will grow on me as well. (shrugs) :-D Dude none of that made any sense at all. (sighs) I do not think that I have a proper answer to your question. lol

I get what you mean, but boys will be boys. You sympathize with Malfoy though? Ergh...well, that doesn't seem right. Malfoy grew up just as pampered, just as privileged and he chooses to be the school bully. It was not until the very end of Order of Phoenix that he starts having any emotional drama. He has bullied everyone from everywhere, it didn't matter if they're muggle-born, half-blood or pureblood, if he thought he was better than you---he'd make sure you knew it. James did it all out of good and fun, but that's boys being boys.

I'm sure they didn't mean for Snape to grow up be traumatized by his bullying and turn Death Eater and end up indirectly getting him murdered. In regards to the Sirius, James, Snape bullying---I find Sirius the worst off, he had family problems for himself but you would think that understanding the issues with family and secrets they might not know about Snape, he chose to continue bullying Snape even after the Remus episode and almost getting Snape killed.

Sirius, himself, admitted that they were very bad when it came to bullying, but by their 7th year, they've grown a lot, I doubt you would see James or Sirius picking on Snape then. Yeah, they've made a lot of mistakes, but I wouldn't condemn them for their actions as teenagers. Harry, himself, makes a lot of mistakes due to his rabid hormones, but we still love him.

I didn't think I would be, but I'm really excited for this film! OotP is my favourite Harry Potter book, so I have high expectations for it. I really like the pictures/clips I've seen for it so far (minus Harry's hair and Tonks... just doesn't seem right!), so I'm looking forward to it. :)

I agree with Drew's Destiny when she said she sympathises with Draco Malfoy... Malfoy was brought up in a family who never showed him true love and affection, he was brought up to be like his father and given little or no choice in the matter. I believe the reason that he turned into a bully at Hogwarts was because that was how he was brought up and what he thought was right, doing what his father told him. Everyone is influenced by how they are raised as children and Draco is no exceptation. I definitely don't agree with how he acts, but I do feel sorry for him - he was never given a chance.

And although I do like Sirius, I think he was very similar to Draco when he was growing up. Sirius came from a family similar to the Malfoy's (they're related, so no wonder), and was brought up with the notions that all muggle-borns were useless, etc. etc. I think maybe he deliberately picked on Snape as resentment to that, as we know Sirius doesn't agree with his family's notions. I don't know, that's just my opinion. :) Feel free to debate!

Anyway, I am looking forward to this film. I love how they've done Umbridge, she seems to be exactly like I imagined her! And Daniel's acting skills seem to be improving each film, from what I've seen, anyway. ;)

Kitoky, Yep I seem to have a bit of a...uh...double standard. lol I think that Sisilcal said it perfectly when she was speaking about Draco.
I also think that his mother might love him but his father is more obsessed with power and posessions than his son. Draco always ends up being a pawn in somebody's game, (whether it be his father or Voldemort's). He has been placed in the middle of a war with very little to no choice as to where he is. He was brought up to believe that Muggle and Muggle borns are unworthy and he does not know better. I do not approve of his actions but I understand why he acts the way that he does. He does most of what he does because it was how he was raised not just for kicks. Sirius and James did grow out of the childish/foolish ways though, so perhaps Draco can as well. Judging by his little scene in the bathroom and his inability to kill the headmaster, I think that he is slowly (but surely) begining to realize the wrong of his path. He is torn between what his father expects of him and what he knows deep down is right. All just my opinion though.
I agree. James and Sirius never meant for Snape to be affected by there cruel taunts the way that he was but that is how it affected him. Their actions had consquences. Boys being boys resulted in an innocent young boy nearly being killed and later (indirrectly) causing him to become a death eater.

Sislical, All I can say is...wow. I could not agree with you more! That is Draco in a nut shell. It is also nice to have another Draco fan. (high fives Sisilcal) (Oh, and by the way nice to meet you. I am Drew's Destiny but feel free to call me, Drew, DD, or Destiny for short.)
