Deawen stood stunned for a moment before suddenly turning cold she looked very hurt and irratated. " I am not Like you Lord Sen! " she said with venom. she did not like to see Sen so hurt but like her fire she was fed by emotion. her mind drifted to her mother the last lesson she taught Deawen " Give Fire wood to feed on and it will grow and it will learn to be patient, take the wood away and the fire cannot grow."
Deawen said those words outloud so Sen could hear them as well " Dragon learn diffirently from Phoneix's "

Once they were back in her quarters, Morwen brought out the carved box that held her rings. "I don't believe any of them are very powerful. Most were probably scavenged off Gondorian corpses by wildmen and orcs. Tell me what you think," said Morwen, laying them out on a table. Parmatur began to pick them up one by one and examine them. "Well, this one is from Numenor," he said, examining a silver ring with composed of a black sphere of stone inset in a band resmbling an arrow. "It gives the wearer the ability to communicate telepathically with the person wearing a sister piece of jewelery, designated by the wearer. The stone is of the same substance as the fabled seeing stones." He went through them all, giving a few mor examples. Her favorite was a Dwarven ring (gold with a blue diamond) that gave the wearer improved reflexes. "I do hope I was of some help," said Parmatur earnestly. Morwen smiled, "More than you know. Thankyou for coming." They bowed and he left Morwen to find another way to entertain herslef.

*Sen stood, all traces of his tears gone. If he could only tell her, tell her of all what Maleon had done to others, to him. Yet he had made a promise to Gandalf, and a promise he would not break*
Indeed. Well, then shall we continue? Another aspect that you need to learn is consistency. Now, for this, I need you to cook this apple here.
*Sen held up an apple, which, after a muttered word, began to float.*
The challenge is, it must be cooked at an even temperature over a period of thirty minutes. Have fun.

(hahaha )
Deawen's nose and forehead wrinkled such a low temperture would be hard to substain. but Deawen gatherrd her fire and stood firm. she extended her hand so that it was just under the apple but nothing happened she took a deep breath and waves of heat emitted from her hand.the waves were not terriebly hot but enough to be seen. Time seemed to move slowly sweat had formed on her forehead from the stress, but she kept the heat even and did not let her mind wander. slowly the apple began to sizzle and hiss the peel had turned a diffirent color a sweet and pleasent aroma filled the room. it distracted Deawen for a moment but she quickly regianed her control after thirty minutes sharp. Deawen lowered her hand she felt kind of lightheaded but she managed to substain a flame well atleast heat.

Morwen headed with her magic rings back to her room. She sat in her chair for a while, staring into space. Next, she paced. Finally, she decided to go and polish her tack. She gave Cam-ria a pat on the head and headed to the tack cupboard. She took down her saddle and a rag and buffed her heart out. She was careful to remove her blue-and-silver rank cords before cleaning the back of the saddle. This kept her busy for about two hours. Once that was done, she once again was left to entertain herself.

*Sen smiled, and spoke to Deawen, pulling out another apple from the pile.*
Very well done. Now, try it again, but this time, there will be some... distractions.
*He again muttered the same few words, and the apple began to float in the air. Yet he had a suprise for Deawen. In battle, events did not always allow you to concentrate undisturbed, and he would show that to her.*

Her pacing next led her to the corner of her room where her armour was sitting on a manequin. She requested some oil and polish from one of the elven handmaidens. She began with her cuirass, first oiling then buffing. Next, she buffed the exposed brass to a shiny yellow. Next came the helmet. First came the steel, then the brass accents. She polished up the guard of Last, she carefully rubbed the polish onto the blade. When she tried to buff of the pasty cream, every single scratch in the blade. She sighed and got out her whetstone. As the grating sound of stone on steel filler her quarters, an elf carrying a tray entered the room. She observed her pitiful excuse for a blade and said, "My lady, if you take that blade to the smiths, they will fix it for you." Morwen looked up from the floor where she was sitting, slightly embarassed, and said, "Thank you." She cleaned off her blade and decided to find the smithy. It was not hard-the smoke was virtually the only smoke in the entire forest. She entered the fiery atmosphere and saw two elves working on a sword. "Um...excuse me," she said timidly. One of the elves stopped. "Yes, Lady Morwen?" She smiled, surprised they knew of her. "Yes, I was hoping that you could repair my blade." She held out the sheath and the elf took it. "I will have somebody deliver it to your room in a few hours." She thanked him and left, once again at loss for what to do.

*Sen began to walk around Deawen, and spoke as he did.*
Now, there are three parts to interfere with anything we do; the target, you, and your mind. At any point between these, the river can be broken. It can be simple, or it can be complex. Be ready, for I shall begin.
*Without warning, aside from the one he had just given, Sen snatched the apple away, and moved it out of her reach. He waited for that split second for her to react...*

Still in a cleaning mood, Morwen headed to the stables. There, she found Cam-ria, standing quietly, happily munching on some grain. "Frið, Cam-ria, frið. Hu eow, mic freond? Fægen mid corn, ic sceawian. Awiergan, eow manegan feormianed. þæt læfaneth nanwuht don." She patted her on the cheek, scratched her nose, and left. She wandered aimlessly for about an hour before going to her room to take a nap.

("Peace, Cam-ria, peace. How are you, my friend? Happy with grain, I see. They have cleaned you. That leaves me nothing to do.")

*Sen held it away from her, and shook his head.*
Deawen, even if the target is moved, you must learn to not loose your focus on it. Watch.
*Sen held the apple up again, and it began to float. He held his hand under the apple, and a small, tangible stream of fire, not very hot, yet still visible, wreathed around the apple, coming from his hand. Without warning, Sen batted the apple to the side, while still keeping the hand under it where it was. The stream of fire followed the apple, not burning anything in its way, and continued to heat the apple.*
You see, Deawen? You must not loose your focus on the target, no matter how much it is interfered with. Now, I will do it again, and remember to focus.
*The apple floated in front of Deawen, and he waited until she was ready. Again, he snatched the apple away, and waited to see if she had learned...*

Deawen wanted fool Sen so instead of using flame she contracted the air inside the apple cooking it from core to skin. but she knew this way her concentration could not be broken or intercepted. She figured with enough practice she could kill at least five beings without having to be close at hand. when he moved the apple it continued to heat up though no visible flame ot wave of heat could be seen.

*Sen smiled, clapped his hands.*
Very good, my lady Deawen. You have indeed learned. Yet what will you make of this?
*Sen swept Deawen off her feat; catching her moments before she hit the ground. His concentration was on her as much as it was on the apple; he wanted to see what her reaction was, and if the apple would indeed continue to be heated.*

Deawen squeaked as her feet were swept away. she flet her mind split in two one reacting to the fall the other with the apple holding the constant flame. she faltered slightly and the apple stopped sizzling for a few seconds then regained it's heat. dissipointment and frustration welled up inside her she faltered and it was because of a simple trick. she sighed and let her mind split again this time she walled up the heat so it could not be broken so easily.

*Sen smiled as he noticed that though she wavered a slight bit, she still kept her concentration.*
Now, for the final test...
*Sen bent over, and kissed Deawen slightly on the forehead, but his eyes did not turn to the apple; they stayed locked with hers...*
