Eomer's troops were now all packed and just tightening the last of the horse's girths. He walked up to Aragorn, "My troops are ready."

"Good," Aragorn said, "Has anyone seen Gimil? And were did Gandalf go." This whole losing people thing might get out of hand. He looked over to the rest of the Rangers. They were ready, standing quietly by their horses.

Merry waited until Pippin was upon his horse. "Your welcome," Merry smiled back at Pippin, "Now, let's go make sure on troops are ready."

Merry quickly turned back to Drogo and ordered him to follow along.

Pippin nodded at Merry and said, "I will go and inform Aragorn that we are ready." Pippin turned his horse and rode it over to Aragorn and said, "We are ready, Aragorn! The hobbits, that is." He shrugged and then nodding to him and Gandalf, he turned his horse back and followed Merry in final preperations before battle.

Eomer heared Miriel's call and turned around, "What do you need?" he asked her.

Gandalf strode over to the Gondorien encampment. Wagons were piled high and men scurried about lashing down loose items so they wouldn't fall out. Some were still strapping on swords, but for the most part the humans were ready.

Gandalf told them to be ready to move as soon as possible and then headed back to Aragorn. "I believe they are ready, Aragorn. They can move at a moment's notice."

Merry took look over the crowd of hobbits to make sure everything was up to par while Drogo sat on a fallen tree. Looking up at Pippin, Drogo admitted, "Pip, ever since you, Frodo, Merry, and Sam went off, I would imagine stepping out of the Shire myself, just to see what it is like. You know, but I never imagined it would be like this. I always thought it was going to be happier."

Pippin smiled. "Ah, I remember Frodo told me something like that long ago....when we where in Rivendell, during our long and perlious journey. I told him the same thing you just told me." He smiled and chuckled. "We all wish it could be happier."

Drogo didn't feel much like smiling at the time. He had known what Pippin was going to answer, in a way, and the only answer he really wanted was the answer he couldn't get: this wasn't really happening. "Is it.." Drogo asked, diverting the conversation to hopefully make him feel better, "as bad as people tell me it is outside of the Shire?"
