Katria looked around and caught the eyes of a man as she left the slave auction. She met his gaze squarely, but she didn't have chance to inquire the incounter further, for she was being ushered by other slaves to follow her knew master, who Dea had called Ardol.

Deaen heard the ringing soundof steel on steel she turned around to see slaves running from the market. the stamp of heavy boots followed. One of the Slave Traders just set a few slaves free Unheard of. Dea looked up at Tainar his face too showed shock Lord Ardol shouted orders to start moving. the last thing anyone wanted was to be in the middle of a slave revolt. the company moved silently , Dea's thoughts were to that slave trader he would be lucky if he escaped It was illegal to set slaves like that free he could be imprisoned or made a slave.

Once everyone made it to the house Dea and Tainar led the new slaves to the side of the courtyard as the Guards made their way to the barracks.Tainar stood next to the fountain very commanding
" Welcome, to the Ardol Family house" he began " you are lucky to be here I am sure for many of you this will be a home you will like... Lord Ardol likes to insur that trouble is prevented and there are rules.
When any of the Family addresses you, you either kneel or bow your head. Slavs are not carry weapons unless a guard. slaves are not to leave the house after dark unless sent. The women I do not advise to leave the house without an Escort. All slaves sleep in the main hall. " he explained Dea sat on her knees next to him. " All Slaves will be issued clothing, you will be well fed here Lord Ardol does not starve his slaves for disobediance. Proper punishment is enforced. I am the one in charge of you all and when I am not present Dea here is in charge. every mistake you make reflects on us so do your best not to make us look bad " he grinned showing white teeth against his tan skin. " that is all, " he said just before walking off to begin settling in the new slaves.

Dea took Katria by the hand and led her to a room where other women slaves dressed. " we can't keep you in that!" she said finding a dark blue shift for her.

Katria listened intently to the man and his speech and in her mind she smiled, though her face remained expressionless. I think I will like it here She thought and then she was jerked away by Dea as she was lead to a room to change clothes. Katria smiled and thanked Dea. "Dark blue?" She said, smiling. "Thanks!"

Kith let an intimidating sneer run across his face. A man came and pulled him away from the others. Kith pulled, letting the man know he would be trouble later on, but then silently walked besides him.

Once at his new home, he glanced around. There were woods to the east, though they were far of. They would make good cover, if he could get to them in time. As it was now, he was gaurded and still in his shackles. He gave them an experimental tug, fully expecting the resistence of his irons. They would not break under his strength.

He glanced around warily. There were six other slaves that were bought. Five of them looked no brighter than cows, and had the same personality. The sixth one though, Katrina, had a head on her. She had taken a liking to Deawen, who returned it.

Katria sighed and looked around the house as she quickly changed her shirts, slipping on the dark blue one while slipping off her old gray one in one swift movement, without revealing anything. She learned it from her 2nd mistress 8 years ago. Katria contiuned to look around the house and sighed once again. "This is a very nice place." Katria said to Dea.

"yes very nice" Dea said " do you know how to weave or spin cloth? " she asked Leading her to a adjecent room filled with looms and finished cloth. Dea stopped suddenly an peered into the courtyard she saw Tainar with a hammer and some form of a lock pick she knew he planned to take the shackles off the new arrivals. " hold on " she said padding to Tainar she always helped by giving the new arrivals a healing salave for the sores the shackled formed. Dea grabbed from the store room the salave, and rushed to Tainar. only two had shackles meaning they were trouble. at the second Arrival Tainar stopped " you have the mark of a trouble maker" Tainar said before taking the shackles off. Dea applied the salave carfuly then quickly got up to resume her duties.

Katria was about to answer Dea's question when Dea ran out of the Cloth Room. Katria shrugged and looked around at all the cloth, touching a couple and feeling the diffrent textures. She wish she knew how to spin cloth, but she was never taught and she was a better laborer anyway, so her masters or mistresses never bothered.
