Layien and Shade followed Emmeline, talking of Quidditch also. They were the Beaters for the team and they loved it. "My favorite role models were Fred and George Wesley!" Shade said, thinking back. "Those two are the reason I play Beater today, besides Layien, of course."

Layien grinned again, but Shade blushed. "Thanks." He muttered, looking down. Layien punched him in the arm and then said to Emmeline, "The team would be nothing without you!"

"Aidan, I swear if I hear the word 'Quidditch' one more time.."

Sighing quietly, Aidan braced himself for the tirade he knew was coming. All throughout dinner, Madison had constantly been assaulted with questions about her, her new Captaincy, plans for the team, current players, when tryouts were, and other such trivial things as suggestions, plays, past games brought up, and yes, even complaints. And as Madison was assaulted with this, so was Aidan, though the two had sat seperate from each other..everyone considered him the co-Captain of the team, and that was pretty much the truth.

"Maddie, just let it go." Aidan said on sudden inspiration, heading the tirade off before it could fully begin. "Tryouts aren't until Friday, and you don't have to worry about Quidditch until then."

"All right, all right.." Madison conceded with a shake of the head, adjusting her glasses as they slipped. "Fair enough."

A comfortable silence then fell between the two of them, unbroken for once - as Jacob and Aaron had both left, both having prefect duties and their own common rooms to head to. About that time, however, they caught up with Layien, Shade, and Emmeline..and were unsurprised to hear the topic they were discussing.

"I get the feeling half of Gryffindor is going to turn up for try-outs." Madison offered dryly, working her way into the conversation easily. "Considering how many kept badgering me tonight, it's a safe assumption."

Shade laughed and Layien grinned. "Well, I wouldn't be surprised." She said, then turned to Shade. "We should be there...ya know, to help out." Shade nodded. "Ya, we'll be there to help calm the chaos." He said.

Shade turned to Madison, asking, "That's alright, right? I'm sure you wouldn't mind the extra help!" Layien nodded, but her mind was on another matter entirely. She kept thinking about the Prefect on the train and how their eyes meet...she shivered inside thinking about it, but then shook her head so she wouldn't be caught thinking about him.

"Besides, we need all the team members there anyway." Aidan broke in. "At least, that's always been the tradition. If the pitch isn't booked by another team, we could always schedule the first practice session."
