So. This is a banner contest. A LotR banner contest. Actually, the Official Summer LotR Banner Contest.
You will all have nearly 2 weeks to submit your banners, with the deadline on Thursday 26th July. (AUS eastern standard time, just to avoid confusion.)
The banners themselves must be the standard size of 700px by 150px.
As for theme. Hmm. I've decided to go with something broad, but still a definite rule. Your banner must be based around a quality. For example you might choose to do something like honor, or maybe friendship, or even something like humour or indifference. I'm not fussed how abstract you become, so long as you can put up a reasonable argument as to why what you chose to do is a quality.
You must include text, and it must state the quality. Whether you do just one word or put it in a sentence is up to you.
Of course, you must include at least one image that can link your banner to LotR in some way.
So, just a summary of all that:
- Banners must be 700 x 150 px.
- Banners are due on the 26th of July, a Thursday.
- Banner must be based on a quality displayed in either the books or movies, and this quality must be named on the banner somewhere.
- There are unlimited places, please just post your entries when done.
- One entry per person, but you can change your entry, but please go back and edit the post containing the original entry, just to let me know not to use it.
And that's it.

I think I'll do things a bit differently to usual, and put up a list of those who have already entered their banners, rather than everyone planning to.
