Dark led her tired horse to the wide paddock, and took off her saddle. Patting her briefly on the head.

"Take a rest, I don't know when we'll be leaving again." Chonara nickered as Dark carried the horses things to a small empty tent.

Dark put the stuff down, and took off her pack, her bow and arrows, prefering to carry just her sword.

Dark exited the tent, enjoying the cool morning breeze on her face. She glanced up at the sun, gazing briefly at the clouds scudding across the sky.

A smile flitted across her tanned face.

"I'm always expecting rain, that way, when the sun shines, i'm suprised."

"Why am I here? There was an inkling in the back of my mind that they needed fighters. And so I came, I can fight, why not lend my services?" She grinned again and pushed some unruly hair out of her face.

"Where are my manners, I'm Dark." She stuck out a hand to shake.

Hathawyn stopped abruptly behind the young man she'd been following as he introduced himself to a fellow soldier. The woman shook back her unruly hair and stuck out her hand, "I'm Dark," she said, just loud enough for Hathawyn to hear.

Thorontur walked Sheikai up to the paddock and dismounted. He undid her girth and slide off her saddle. "You be good now, Sheikai," he told her releacing her into the pen.

Thire was at the paddock too, checking on his own horse. He walked over to Thorontur after giving his gelding a final pat. "How are you?" he asked the man.

Miriel crawled out of her tent, yawned and looked around. She looked sleepy with her eyes half-closed eyes and her blond hair was uncombed. She'd arrived late that night and after a long ride she hadn't been able to speak the commander of the company or any other soldiers. Quickly she braided her hair and tried to look presentable and then walked over to the tent of the commander joining another three other soldier who were also probably looking for him.

Fastred walked back from his lord Eorl's tent, after an early morning call for all captains. The force had grown considerabley, and he had been told to get his company of the Éoherë ready for the ride south at dawn on the following day.

As he walked back to his section of the encampment, he saw a small group of people between his tent and the food tent.

"Good morning friends. What brings you here at this time. Most of the rest of the host are still sleeping."
Noting one figure imparticular he nodded to Aldwulf.
"I trust you have a report Aldwulf. I will hear it shortly."
He looked at the rest of the group, and smiled slightly,
"And what can I do for the rest of you?"

"I'm good. The name's Thorontur," said Thorontur energeticlly," And you?"

"Thire." He smiled. "It's good to meet you. Mind if I ask what brings you to the camp?"

Hathawyn hadn't realised Aldwulf was so friendly with their commander. No doubt they had fought together before, which was why they trusted eachother so. When no one else answered Falstred's question Hathawyn spoke up, "We're here to fight m'lord! At least, that is why I am here.."

"To fight for my King," Thorontur said simple.

Thire nodded firmly. "Good reason. That's why I'm here too."

Miriel watched the woman who'd answered Fastred and added: "You've called upon us to come to the aid of Lord Eorl. So here I am." No more explanation was needed. She wondered if they would get orders already but they probably wouldn't. That would give her enough time to find something to eat as she was starving..

"As the lady said before, we're here to fight, it seems that you are in need of more fighters." She watched the camp, her face contorted into a grimace.

She turned back to the others, fiddling with her sword hilt. She appraised each and every one of them, an eyebrow cocked.

Hathawyn gave Dark a defiant look. She didn't quite appreciate being looked at appraisingly, but did not make any move. It would do no good for her to make enemies with those whom she would be fighting alongside.

[Is it me.. or do we seem to have an almost all-girl army forming here? ]

"Good," said Thorontor, "Do you know were the mess tent is? I haven't eaten since breakfast yesterday."
