(Well, I'll go ahead and post for Dark, and assuming Meldawen's charrie will 'accept the task', it looks like we're all set! lol))

Firiel looked up from the flames, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I will accept the charge too, for my mother. I know she believed in it fully, and would want me to carry her egg for her."

Sorcha looked around at each face. <i>So, these are the new Chosen.</i> She was glad that each one had joined, although the loss of the former Chosen still shadowed her.

"There's a certain... ritual type of thing that Crymson used for giving the eggs magic." Rena said.

Sorcha nodded in agreement. "The first time, Crymson put the eggs in a circle. We each sent a little of our magic into the center, and it spread to each egg. I guess we should do that now." She looked at the other Chosen for approval or agreement, not wanting to seem too bossy.

The fire was set up and all the eggs were put in the fire. Instead of orange and red, the fire was green. Emmeline looked at Sorcha and Rena, "Do we need to put more of our magic into them?"

Sorcha shrugged. "I don't know. I didn't understand the ritual very well the first time. I guess we should, though, so the eggs realize we're still a part of the group."

Adilya hesistated for a moment to pass her powers into the center. She feared hurting the eggs in anyway.

Nothing Adilya, Bry asked her, Aren't you supposed to be tranferring power?

Yes, Adilya answered back.

Well, go ahead, so we can get out of this cramped cave.

Bry was usually fine with caves, but the amount of people that were in it all at once was making him want to go outside and get some air.

Adilya continued to pause for another moment, but she soon persauded herself to give up some of her power. She had thought through on how giving the power wouldn't hurt the eggs, but demonstrating the power may later on.

Airithnu looked around and thought about putting some of her magic into the eggs, so they would relize who she was. It was like signing a contract in blood, being bound for eterinty of servitude.

Was she up for that challedge?

Airithnu knew she already said she would join, but that she could always back out before she did the ritual. But Airithnu shook her head.

She was going to do this.

"Is this like bonding with the eggs?" She asked curiosly.

"Um... you concentrate real hard, like when you use your magic... and direct it to the center of the circle..." Rena explained, she closed her eyes, and put some of her magic in the eggs again. When she was done, she stood up and went over to Emmeline.
"Can I, uh, go into town. I have something I need to do," she whispered into Emmeline's ear so the others couldn't hear...

Rena nodded, and stepped out of the cave to put the saddle and briddle on Granit. Rena mounted, and golden wings appeared or the horse's soulders. The pair flew to the edge of the town. Rena dismounted Granit there, so she would stay hidden.

Rena walked into the town, keeping her head down, and trying not to draw attention, which was easy in the crowds. She made her way to a pay phone, and put in some change in the slot before dialing in the number. It rang twice before someone picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, mom?" Rena spoke into the reciever.
"Rena, is that you? I'm sorry, this is Sarah, the neighbor? Remember? You've been gone so long," the voice on the other end spoke.
"Oh... where's my mom?"
"She's uh... where are you?"
"I'm in Europe... and I won't be coming home soon. Where's my mom?"
"She's in a concusion in the hospital. There's was a major car accident... seven car pileup. I'm so sorry."
"It's... alright I..." She was interupted by a voice on the payphone.
"Your time is up, for more time, please insert more coins into the slot," Rena sighed, and hung up the phone...
