The days travel brought the group to the edge of the forest where the shadows had most recently been seen.

Despite the devine sunset that graced the horizon Cyril's spirits were not lifted as they set up camp for the night.

Turwaithiel leaned against a tree, sighing. It had been a long journey to get here, and now she was leaving again, on an even longer journey.

(Wow.. we skip ahead pretty quickly.)

Ruth Ann found a nice spot by a tree to squeeze herself into. Traveling with Aragorn and by herself, at times, she found herself able to suffer through outdoor experiences much more easily than most. Placing her weapons down and leaning a few against the tree, she walked over to the middle of the campsite. "I think fire would be the best idea right now," she told everyone as she grabbed a few twigs from the ground and set them in the middle to map out a spot for a firepit.

Cyril laid down on the ground. he didn't keep with him a blanket of any kind. Only a small pack and his weapons. he had lived hiswhole life sleeping on the ground and it was hard to break old habits.

He looked over at the hobit. He agreed but didn't say anything. he didn't feel he needed to he was sure she would start one anyway.

Slowly he glanced around at the rest of the companions, observing them and there weaponry. It seemed like such an unlikely chance that they would defeat the shadows. They didn't even know how o defeat them yet.

Cyril sighed and lai his head down on the ground and closed his eyes.

Turwaithiel nodded at Ruth Ann and said, "If you need any help with the fire, let me know." She said, shutting her eyes as she lean against the tree...not because she was tired, but so she could do something.

"I will be fine," Ruth Ann comfored Turwaithiel as she started the fire with two stones she found. Backing away, she kindled it for a few moments until it was blazing upwards. "Now," she turned to Cyril, "that is the fire is going, will you kindly explain to us what we are doing?"

Cyril opened his eyes and sat up with a cold stair on his face.

"You know as much as I do. there is a shadow that's going around killing everything in it's path. And it has to be stoped..." Cyril paused momentarily. "Somehow." he added.

Cyril gazed into the fire for a moment. "That's all I know. Is it has to be stopped."

"Then.." Ruth Ann Underhill proposed as she grabbed her sword and began to clean it off, "are we going to find out what we are supposed to do, or are we just going to approach the dark myst and hope we win?"

Eruraina stood atop a hill not for from the others, looking across the land. She saw the destruction the black mist did. There was something in the breeze that came from the south. It was filled with the presence of death.
"If it's a fog... a cloud or is mist. No blade can kill it. It must be defeated with magic, or so I would think. That, or some object posesses it... Do we know the path of this fog, and where is started?" Eruraina said over her shoulder to the others...
