Geni rode back into the stables. She dismounted and handed her mare off to a stable hand and then went in search of Luke.

Luke was in the kitchen again, after working in the stables, preparing meals for guests and such that were eating, from the royal house. He continued his slight limp, but it was barely noticeable unless you were really looking.

Behind his blond curls a pair of blue eyes were visible which looked quite worried at his friend. "Shall I take over your night shift? "

Luke shook his head. "The Duke wasn't happy with me last night." He said and pointed to his leg. "He said that was a reminder to me and that I'd better work tonight." He sighed heavily. "Thanks though, mate."

"No sighs my friend.." Christian said good spirited "Things could be much worse, I know they can.." he added with a dark glance. He himself was in service of the Duke too and everyone knew him to be an impatient man, with his servants at least. "But not tonight! I'll be there when dinner is served too, as long you keep your eyes in your pocket instead of staring at your euh crush.. then you'll be fine."

Geni couldn't find Luke and returned home somewhat disappointed. She was going to the Duke's for dinner, where she would hopefully see Luke. Sighing, she went upstairs to read before she had to get ready.

Nicole went over to Geni's quarters to see her friend. After a knock on the door, the maid let her in and Nicole immediately walked over to Geni. "I've been looking everywhere for you.." she said with a sigh. "What's wrong? You look kind of sad.."

"I'll watch for her tonight then.." Christian grinned. It was amusing how his friend fell for a lady who owed a fortune and how that caused nothing than trouble. He,himself, couldn't understand that. The world was full of pretty and sweet girls but Luke of course had to pick a love affair which contained obstacles.
