But since this film and essentially the book series, it's revolved around Harry Potter. His involvement is our involvement. His ignorance is our ingorance. If they wanted to add more character-involvement, they would've needed more plot-expanding, and how extensive this book is, it would not have worked.

I was just wondering if you sw the Hidden Secrets of Harry Potter on the Biography channel because they say something remarkably close to what you just said.....if you havn't you should check it out...it's kinda an interesting little special they put together...

Hidden Secrets of Harry Potter? That does sound interesting---though I don't know what channel exactly is the Biography Channel for me...I have cable so... :p Maybe I'll look it up. Do they show it a lot?

I think the inclusion of some parts of the film was a misguided decision; Kreacher, for instance, who didn’t really do much, could have been cut, in favour of more screentime for such characters as Ron & Hermione, and Luna, who had more to do with the plot...

I think JKR told the movie makers to introduce Kreacher because he'd be key in the 6th and 7th books.

I actaully am not sure how often they show it....I think it was just out so many times in the last few weeks because of the release of the movie and the book....but if you can find it I definately suggest watching it...they point out a lot of different things...very interesting I thought.

There's a hidden secrets of Harry Potter programme?!? Ooooo! That sounds good....i'm a big HP fan.... :-D

I have seen OOTP twice now, its great! Luna was cast perfectly, and Tonks was great too. I was disappointed that there was no Quidditch involved but seeing as the book is 766 pgs long, i think they did really well to fit as much as they did in. I loved seeing Fred and George comfort the boy near the end, it let us see a kind and thoughful side to them in addition to there usual jokes. Sirius' death was not how i expected it to be, it was to quick really, and the penseive scene should have been loads longer....It is probably the best film though or 2nd, i still love PS as a film.

Well, the reason why there was no Quidditch was probably BECAUSE the book was 766 pages long ---which is wrong for my copy, I think it's 840 I think for OotP----. They just can't fit EVERYTHING in.

The length on the books depends on where it is, in England OotP is 766 pages while in Sweden it's around a 1000 pages ;)

^1000 pages?? Wow!

I didn't miss the Quidditch in this movie. I think it worked in the first movies but now the plot thickens and I don't think there's going to be time to show Quidditch in the movies.

I know. ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if they never show Quidditch again because it's just one of those things where it's a magical past-time, it's never really significant to the plots of each book.

Yeah, in the 3rd movie they probably only had it in because of the scene with the dementors, I belive anyway...It's so much in the other books from 5-7 that makes quidditch less important xD

I agree^^ The only thing that makes quiddich kinda important in the 6th is Harry becomes captain, which makes for some pretty interesting subplots but in the context of the main one it's generally unimportant

The only reason I am really looking forward to the 6th movie is because Draco plays such a large role in it. But it was my least favorite book so other than Draco I don't have much to look forward to in that book.

Yeah, I wonder if they will have the bathroom scene between him and Harry o.O But they almost must have it since it plays a big part of the whole Half-Blood Prince <.<
