Phyllis ran through the streets. Rain was falling down, her feet where bloody from the running, the rain burned when it hit the open whimp streams on her back, but she didn't feel it anymore. She was so used to everything, to every pain, she felt nothing. Nervously, she looked around her. Where they already after her? Would they find her? She knew the punishment for a slave who ran away, she saw it more than one time. Doubt filled her mind. Why did she run away? But now, there was no way out. She couldn't go back, not anymore. But what should she do? Where should she go to? She ran quicker, her wet hair hung into her face. Suddenly, she realized that somehow she had come to the port. She looked up to the big ships rocking in the water. Suddenly, she made a desicion. She knew it was crazy, but there was no other way. If she would stay, sooner or later, her master would find her. She looked around, the streets where empty, rain was still falling down. So she quietly sneaked aboard of one of the big ships. She didn't know which ship it was, but she didn't care. She went under the deck and crawled behind some barrels of rum, standing around there. She leaned against the barrels, sobbing and breathing heavily because of exhaustion and soon she drifted away in a deep sleep.

Kathryn caught Lee's glance and a shudder went right through her. It wasn't just the cold, no, but the fact that the man laying dead in front of the friends was of their doing. And the bloody knives laying next to him in the crimson puddles now mixing with the rain were theirs.

"Bones..." Kat was trembling, "what are we going to do? What if Beckett catches us...? We'll be..." She left off there imagining all of the hangings taking place at the crack of dawn. Only in her mind could Kat picture the weather worn faces of pirates bound in shackles being lead to their deaths. Then it occured to her that would be their fate. "Lee, we need to get out of here. We need to leave..."

Lee looked at Kat and know had the nerve to speak. She remembered a ship being in the harbor, a very large ship, and it was leaving the next morning. Yet, when she saw it, she thought it it might be...but Lee shook her head. What would a pirate ship like that be doing in Port Royal? And, she couldn't tell Kat if that ship was indeed the famous Black Pearl. It was scare the poor girl to death. But Lee knew, that if they were to escape, it would be on that ship.

"Come on!" She said to Kat, and, grabbing her arm, she lead her down the street alleys and onto the main rock, to the docks. The gaurds weren't out at the docks on such a dreary night, for the conditions were too bad to take a ship into the open sea, so it would be an easy route to get to the ship Lee had seen earlier that day. After a few minutes of running, Lee spotted it.

It was a large ship, with dark black torn sails, yet very fine and polished wood, that was also dark in color, like the sails. Lee was glad that the Jolly Roger, at this moment, wasn't raised, or that ship would be overrun by gaurds. Lee saw it arrive a little after sunset, but she would be so happy if the real pirates that she heard from her father's stories were on that same ship, right now!

Lee had stood dazed at the ship for a few moments, and she looked back at Kat and siad, "Come, before we are caught!" And before Kat could say any protests, Lee lead her up the ramp that lead unto the ship and she slipped below deck, with all the barrels of rum and gunpower, food and extra supplize. Lee looked around and hid behind a barrel in a corner of the ship, bringing Kat to sit beside her. "We can hide here...until they set sail." She told her good friend, looking around to make sure no one had seen them.

((we will start the pirates off real soon! ;)))

Once onboard, Kat sunk down behind the barrels. She suddenly was feeling very drowsy, whether it be the weather or what they had just done, she didn't know, but soon fell into a fitful sleep, her dreams filled with pirates.

Lee was glad that Kat excepted her hiding spot and she too began to feel tired, despite being both wet and hungry. She lay down too and using her shawl as a very small blanket, she fell quickly asleep.

~~~~~~
(starting off pirates! :))
Will Turner, a newly formed pirate, walked up the plank of The Black Pearl, in search of it's Captain, Barbossa. Earlier that day, Barbossa sent him in cover to find out who Beckett was hanging. When Will learned about the hanging of pirates and the song from some drunken men in a tavern, he tried to get back as quickly as possible without being in a hurry. Will slipped off his cloak hood and knocked on the Captain's Quarters, awaiting an answer.
Elizabeth leaned on the edge of the Black Pearl in waiting for Will's return. Her desire was to go with him, but Will would not allow to her for thought that it would be too dangerous for a lady of her stature.
Seeing Will, Elizabeth smiled with glee and ran up to him. Embracing him with a hug, she backed up a step or two and asked, "What did you overcover?"
Barbossa stepped out and quickly forced the pair into his cabin. "When I ordered that all th' crew stay belowdecks, Miss Swann," he hissed once the doors were closed again, "I meant all the crew, especially those easily identifiable to the citizens o' Port Royal. We're riskin' far more than I be comfortable with just by bein' here. We certainly don't need yer added efforts. An' as for you," he added, turning to Will. "Whatever ye uncovered, it best be worth the additional two hours we were forced to wait, an' the risks involved in doin' such. It's not exactly inconspicuous for a ship to have 'er gangplank down for two hours in the middle of a storm. Ought to've made you swim."
Will was excited that Elizabeth had hugged him, since she had barely talked to him since Jack was sent to Davy Jones Locker. He was about to answer her when Barbossa came to talk to him. He looked back at Elizabeth and said, "Barbossa is right. You need to get back below decks." Then, he turned to Barbossa and said, "Could we talk about what I have seen in your Cabin, Barbossa? Or maybe set sail? Pirates, and the like, are no longer welcome here in Port Royal."
"Aye, the heightened security, overabundance of soldiers, an' prominently-displayed East India Trading Company flag somewhat alerted me to that fact," Barbossa replied dryly. "Stay, the both o' ye. Goin' below-deck now would require leavin' the cabin an' goin' out on deck, which would defeat the purpose of draggin' you in here in the first place. I'll return shortly meself."
Striding out of the cabin, he quickly climbed down to the gun deck, where the remainder of their tiny crew slept in makeshift hammocks. "Up, ye worthless freeloaders," he ordered (though not quite so loudly as was his wont), turning over the hammock containing an unsuspecting Ragetti. "Turner's back, an' time's of th' essence. All hands on deck, an' no lights save what's absolutely necessary. Cotton'll take the helm, an' I expect us t'be well on our way by the time Turner's finished 'is report."
As soon as he was certain they'd comply and not simply go back to sleep, Barbossa returned to his cabin and closed the door behind him. "Report," he demanded.
((pirates...you are the best at barbossa ever! :)))
Will watched in awe as Barbossa got the crew ready...and quite quietly, considering it was a bunch of pirates. "Beckett's laws, as you noticed, are tighter than we last expected. He is taking anyone anywhere that has anything to do with pirates and hanging them by the next full moon." But before Barbossa could talk and tell Will that he already knew all this and call Will a worthless git, he added, "Barbossa...the Song has been Sung."
~~~~
Lee awoke suddenly when she heard the hustle upstairs. "Oh, they are about to set sail..." She whispered to no one, looking down and keeping low, making sure to not be seen in case they came down below deck.

(Ugh.. Tur.. you post too fast, and I agree with Tur, PotR. You rock at Barbossa.)

Once Barbossa left the cabin, Elizabeth walked over to the other side of the cabin. She speechless signaled a "uh-huh" with her mouth opening, closing, and ending with a slight bite of her lip. "So," she added in, "You weren't supposed to leave?" Lowering her head, Elizabeth's eyes glared at Will as if to recover the hidden truth from underneath. Will, himself, to only be saved from Barbossa's reamergance.

----------------------------

(After Will explained.)

Elizabeth's direction moved onward to Will's explanation. "The Song has been Sung?" she questioned, "What?" Elizabeth's mouth was left barely open, and her heart left on edge from not being told of these things even though she was one of the essential members of the crew.

((*bows humbly* I've roleplayed him for about two-and-a-half years, so I guess I just feel comfortable with him by now.))

"Aye, an' I be the one who started it," Barbossa replied with a short nod, treating this as old news. In response to Elizabeth's query, he added, "The song, Miss Swann. The song that began with the start of the Golden Age o' Piracy, and th' song with which the Brethren Court is now summoned."

(This would be my first time RPing Elizabeth.. so give me some leeway. :teehee:)

Elizabeth's eyes caught with Barbossa's and she pondered in thought. Being overcome with her good nature, Elizabeth politely, somewhat, asked, "So, we are going to the Brethen Court, I would assume, and we are keeping Jack in the locker?"

Will sighed heavily. He thought he might, once, have the upper hand on Barbossa, for once. But of course, he did not. He was too quick for Will these days. With a quick glance at Elizabeth, he looked over at Barbossa and asked, "Where do ye want me, Capt'n?"

Phyllis woke up when she heard steps of somebody going downstairs. When she looked carefully from behind the barrels, she saw two girls hiding there too. She crawled deeper in her hideout and made herself as small as possible. From upstairs, she could hear that there where leaving the port. She signed in relief. Maybe it would work out like she thought, maybe she wouldn't be found till they reached some island where she could run off the ship, maybe it all would be good and she would never see the plantage and her master again. She knew, she had to be careful during the journey, that nobody would find her. She didn't know who this ship belonged to and she was a slave, a slave who ran away. She had the sign of her master, of Timothy Johnsohn's plantage burned into her arm and if the wrong people would find her, this would mean her certain death. Phyllis decided not to think of the lot of concequences which would happen to her in case of that she would be found, so she layed there, on the side, slowly drifting away into a restless sleep again.

Kat opened her eyes when Lee spoke, but they drifted away from her friend's face to something shifting in the corner. At first she thought it was some sort of animal but on further inspection Kat saw that it was another girl. She jabbed a finger into Lee's arm and pointed in the girl's direction. "Look. Do you think she's another stowaway?" She questioned, voice barely above a whisper.
