Rena finnished with her packing, tightening the saddle's girth until Granit said it was just right. Now that they were about to get going, the girl's spirit was lightening up a little bit. Up to the point where she started humming a tune.

Holding out her hand, she grabbed the humidity in the air with her magic, and filled her cupped palm with water that she drank. Wipping drops from her chin with the back of her hand, she walked over to Emmeline.
"We're handing out the eggs as soon a Zero gets back, right?"

Mirrim stood by Twygrin, the pair of them conversing telepathically. The silver wyvern was shifting impatiently, half-opening his wings and rearing upwards. It elicited a wry smile from the normally sober Mirrim, who was not inclined to make conversation with any of the companions. She twisted to squint at the horizon, nearly closing her eyes against the blinding brilliance of the rising sun.

Her chief concern - possibly the strongest pull she felt to complete the journey - was the coming dragon egg. Mirrim was not one to be impatient but she keenly wanted one of those eggs, wanted to touch one, feel the pulsing life in her hands. Twygrin nudged her wistfully and Mirrim rubbed one of his horns affectionately. You'll always be first, Twy. Before a dragon egg, always.

Adillya had finished packing nearly as soon as she began. The only provisions she took out were a few random items and food, nothing else.

She remained with Bry for a while, instructing him and so forth before she sulked into the room, remaining on the outside of the conversation and observing.

"Yes, as soon as he's back, everyone can get their eggs." Emmeline answered Rena's question.

Tiernan called Talyn back to the cave. As quickly as possible, if you will. He pulled out a ration bar and pulled off the wrapping, stuffing it into the pocket that the bar came from. He watched the other's pack as he proceded to eat. Tiernan hated the bars; but they were nutrient-rich and light, important qualitys when you didn't stay in any place for very long.

"Yes, as soon as he's back, everyone can get their eggs," Emmeline answered the question about when the group got their eggs.

"Well, then. It looks like there is nothing to do but wait...some more," Tiernan said cheerfully. This was weird for him, he was usually a grumpy and annoying person after sleeping; usually because he didn't get enough of it. Apparently he had gotten enough sleep the previous night.

Airithnu shook her head at Emmeline. "No, thanks, I will be able to carry whatever I need to in the form I will take." Then, listening to the others, she nodded and sighed, stretching. She was ready to go, but as she gazed back at the eggs, she wondered which one would fall into her hands...which one she, Airithnu, would have to gaurd with her life. She contiuned to gaze at them as the rest of the group prepared themselves and there beasts.

After taking a quick walk outside, stretching her muscles, Sorcha came back to the cave. She called Etain over and started saddling him. They talked while she worked, mostly about insignificant things. Sorcha smiled a bit. She felt more comfortable talking to her horse than to another person.

Zero glided silently over rooftops, and landed on a big on. He could not read, but he knew that such a big structure could not be any family's estate or living quarters. He would just have to hope that this was not some place that sold vegetables. Zero didn't like vegetables much. He prefered meat.
Taking his sabre, he tested the roof, the sabre sank down a little way, then stopped cold. Zero pulled the sabre out, testing done, and just started burning the roof.

He hoped they had sprinklers in the store, because if Zero set the building on fire, he would care less. Just as long as he got the things he needed.
When Zero thought the roof was sufficiently softened, he sank the saber down once more into the now softened roof, cut it in 3/4 of a square, and heaved up. The roof came up, and Zero used the dew on the roof from the early morning to cool the roofing by turnign it to ice. He lifted the rest, and tried to make as little noise as possible.

Once he was in, he froze the alarm, and also the sensors. The cameras he didn't bother about. Who would believe that a dragon man had walked into their store -dropped into their store- with batlike wings and started trying on apparel.

~^~
Ten minutes later, Zero broke down the front doors of the store, and flew off, satisfactory backpack on shoulders and wearing a pair of cargo pants. The pants were stuffed with random stuff, apparently the store had a gun/hunting section, and Zero did not hesitate to grab some for himself. Screw the licenses.
Also, some water and food went to the pack, and Zero made sure he had ample room for the egg.

To any early-birds watchign out of their windows, a red batlike creature had just taken flight after breaking and entering. Well, Zero has just created a couple more loony cases.

Soon he was back at the cave entrance, landing once again, he said, "All right, I'm back now. What next?"

"Ok, everyone gather round." Emmeline said, moving over to the egg pile, while buckling her sword hilt to her belt.
She picked up the red egg, "Firius, the Magma Egg," she passed the egg over to Firius and
picked up the orange, "Kith, the Desert egg," she passed it to Kith and
scooped up the yellow egg, "Tiernan, the Plains Egg," she passed the egg to Tiernan and
held the green egg out infront of her, "Ember, the Tropical egg," she passed the egg along and
grabbed the blue egg, "Zero, the Arctic egg,"
next was the indigo egg, "Sorcha, the Tundra egg,"
followed by the violet, "Rena, the Deep Sea egg,"
after that was the silver egg, "Miriam, the Moon egg,"
the next was the black egg, "Airithnu, the Light egg,"
followed by the white which went to, "Illyanna, the Dark egg,"
then the brown egg went to, "Adilya, the Death egg."
Finally, Emmeline picked up the gold egg and held it out infront of her face, "and mine, the Sun egg. Keep these eggs safe, our mission is nothing without them."

Adillya took hold of her egg in both hands. It was quite heavy for what she would imagine. Staring at it, Adillya could see nothing, but her hands could feel the tiny vibrations of the dragon inside to tell her that the mission had a purpose and a meaning.

Recalling the names, Adillya's eyes moved from the egg up to meet with Emmeline. "Why are the eggs named that way?"

Airithnu accepted the egg and moved it around in her arms, examining it very carefully. It was completely black almost as black as her hair, if not blacker! She had almost snorted when she heard it's name; The Light egg. Then, she looked up and she said aloud, "Yes, do they have any special meanings...and is there a reason each one of us got a certain egg?" She questioned, echoing Adillya's question and adding one of her own.

Firis gently took the magma egg, cradling it gently in her arms. She could feel the living Dragonet inside. She held it up so Meridian could sniff it.

I can smell Crymson and Dawnfire on it. Firis held it to her nose and got the faintest wiff of her mother's unique ashen smell, slightly overpowered by Morley's fruity smell and Dawnfire's earthy scent.

I can too. She replied as she slipped it into an open saddle bag, her eyes glassy with tears. She did up the buckles and sealed the bag with a touch of silver magic.

Rena, of course, accepted her egg. She hugged it close. It was almost comforting to be able to hold the egg again. Walking over, she put it into her saddle-bag, and made sure the strapps keeping it in were sequre.

When she walked back over to the fire, she heard Adillya's and Airithnu's questions.
"What they're called is what they are. The name of the egg indicated the kind of dragon it holds, and the kind of powers it will have when it hatches. And why we each got certain eggs... nobody asked the first time... nobody asked any questions it seems. So nobody knows, really. Unless someone already knew," she glanced over at the other original chosen...

Airithnu nodded and said, "Well, I'm a curious person, but all curiousitiy aside, I will gaurd this egg with my life." Airithnu said and put the egg in a bag that was strapped to her chest and hung on her back. It was always with her, even if she shifted. She made sure the egg was strapped in tight before turning towards the Oringal Chosen, awaiting instruction.

Zero took hold of his egg. It was quite light in his hands, but heavier than he had expected. So this was a dragon egg. And so this egg holds an artic dragon. Zero smiled, a clash of character, cold against heat. But it holds a future dragon, and for the first time in his life, Zero felt inclined to take care of a lifeform. To nurture it. Before it had always been destroying lifeforms, the humans stupid enough to come onto Zero's territory in search of prey for their hunting guns. Zero made sure that each time the hunter did not return, but became the prey. He would never eat the disgusting human, the one whose race killed his mother. Sometimes there had been kids. He usually left them alone, unless they really bothered or badmouthed or was cheeky towards him. He didn't like hurting kids, just like he didn't like hurting female animals. Kids were kids.

No matter what race. Kids were a symbol of innocence. Zero had once been that kid, and his innocence had been destroyed. He could care less for human mothers, but he always killed the mother out of sight of the child.

Zero gave a mental shrug, it was just a habit. This egg made him think back to his past already. A past that Zero didn't really care about, except for the strong urge for vengeance that his past kindled in him. Zero quietly said, feeling the comforting weight of the egg in his left hand, "I, too, will protect this egg with my life."
