It was Elerina's 20th birthday.She woke up early as and usual walk out in woods.When she came back it was afternoon already.
"Welcome back,child"said Elerina's mother."happy birthday!"She smiled warm."Come and have something to eat!"

Elerina walked in the kitchen.She sat on the table waiting for her mother.It was her 20th birthday,but for 20 years she hasn't celebrating it.On the same day her father left to a journey to the next village and never came back.Since Elerina was 10,she learned to shoot with the bow and became a perfect warrior with the short blade.

Elerina's mother entered the kitchen.She was holding a small scroll.
"What is this,mother?"asked she.
"This is something what your father gave me,before he left.He said to me whatever happens to keep this scroll save and when you're old enough,to give it to you.Take it."
Elerina took the scroll.When she unrolled it,she found a stone in it-a Rubin.The scroll was actually a map.On the map was marked one place "Elking Woods"

Elerina saw a small writing under the mark."When the time come,you'll will find the sing"
"But what suppose that to mean"asked Elerina confused.
Elerina took the Rubin.In her hand the stone became fiery red.
"I understand now!But I'm confused what I have to do"said Elerina.
"What does your heart tell you,daughter?"asked Elerina's mother.
"That I must go in this wood and I'll receve answers but mother...I can't leave you alone here.Who will protect you if the Demons come?"
"Don't worry about me,Elerina.Go and find your answers.Who knows-this could be the save of us all..."
Elerina nodded.She went in her room and took her bow and arrows and her short dagger.

When she was ready,she said good-bye to her mother and left through the back door,which was leading straight into the woods.
Elerina wanted to reach the Road unseen and then to go north-to the Elking Woods

Anira quickly walked along a side path that cut through the woods from her village, not wanting to take the main road. Though able to fend for herself, she had no time and little patience to deal with the foul creatures that like to prey upon unsuspecting travelers. As a young girl she had trained in these woods and knew the forest well. Nevertheless, she kept her senses alert for any creature that skulked in the shadows. If all went according to plan, she would turn east at the next road and head toward Elking Woods.

Elerina was walking fast trough the forest.
Her memories about her childhood was running through her head.She realized now that she doesn't know a lot about her father,Her mother was always denying to tell her more of his personality.
It was almost night when the girl reached the Road.She looked around.She felt that she's carrying something something of great value and she was afraid that someone can follow her.
Elerina took out the map.
"I must go straight north."said she to herself."But why Elking wood?"
When she was a child,Elerina has heard a lots of strange stories about this wood.The people were afraid to pass by this place because as many of them used to say a great sorceress of terrible powers lived there.She was enchanting the misguided travelers and no one has seen them again.

Samintara awoke to her mother's low coughing.
"Mom? are you okay?" she asked as she entered her room.
"Samintara. You are now 19 and I do not know if I will live much longer with this illness. Please look in the top drawer of the chiffonier and get out the small heart shaped box an had it to me."

I did as I was told.
"This was given to youby your grandmother before she died. You were too young then but I believe you are at a good age now." she started coughing harder, and her breathing slowed.
"Please do not disappoint us." that was her final breath.

"Mom!" I wailed and flung myself towards her bed,weeping.

I walked back to my room crying while I opened the box. Inside was a small Emerald and a note.

Samintara-
Since you are reading this your mother must have decided you were old enough to understand. I probably will not live long enough to see you forfill your destiny. Immediately when you open this note go to the Elking Woods.


I walked outside and I saw the blacksmith,Rodel.
"Rodel, my mother as passed. I have been granted a mission, and must leave. Please take care of her and I will be forever grateful."
"Yes, Samintara. Your family has honored us for many generations. I would be honored to help you in your time of need."

With that I walked towards the Elking Woods.

Nasha laughed and strolled about basking in the small elements of sunshine that peeked in between the leaves of the trees as she approached the Elking Forest.

She had heard about it before, somewhat. There were stories, but most of them were about the sorceress. Not necessarily bad stories, for the sorceress. But the sorceress is expecting me, Nasha thought, really Mayra, but me none the less, so everything should be fine, hopefully.

Looking up, Nasha had run into the Elking Forest. One come tell from the change in atmosphere. She glared before her at where her journey would start, well continue, as she could hear little squeaks.

Early morning on the third day,Elerina reached the Elking Woods.
The forest looked minatory but the girl felt no fear.She walked carefully into the wood.

After a two day journey, Anira finally entered the woods. Glancing around, her senses were on high alert, she had heard tales of the perils of these woods, but stories alone could not make her quake in fear. She had been fortunate to make it this far without incident, and if her luck would hold she will be able to find the sorceress without much trouble.

Nasha strayed off of the path slightly to find the little squeak. She was not truely aware of the Elking Woods. Rarely had she heard stories about it, and very more rarely had she paid attention to the stories being told. She would have much rather thought of a story herself or played a game of ball, as was the tradition for the children in her village.

"Ahhh!" she squealed, "It's a mouse!" Nasha reached down and picked the little creature up to stroke it on its back. "You are going to come with me," she told the mouse, wandering further into the woods, unsure of where she was heading.

Elerina walked deeper and deeper in the woods.She felt that the air in the forest was different-somehow it could make the lost traveler sit under one tree and dream the whole day.
Suddenly weariness overcame Elerina.Her eyes stared to close slowly.
"I...must...keep..walking"said she.But the girl was so stunned that she fell on the ground in unconsciousness.

It took Samintara two days straight to enter the forest. She had stoped at a town the day before and got a black horse. She rode deeper into the woods.

Elerina woke up.The sun showed behind the crowns of the trees.Because of this Elerina knew it was morning.
The girl stood up and looked around.

"Where am I?This is not the place,I was yesterday"

"You're in the heart of the Elking woods,dear child?"said a voice behind her.

Elerina turned quickly.She saw a tall,gold-haired woman in front of her.Behind her deep blue eyes,the wisdom of many ages was seen through,although her face was young and cheerful.

"Who..Who are you?"asked Elerina carefully.

The women smiled.
"I'm Lauramel.Keeper of the south borders of this forest.And you are Elerina,daughter of Aur and Alaia."
"How do you know me?"
"I know many things for this world,dear.But I'm not the one who will answer your questions"

"So you aren't the Sorceress of the Elking Wood?"
"No.But I'm the one who'll take you to her.Come with me."
Elerina and Lauramel walked through the forest.
"Tell me,Lauramel.You're not a human,am I right?"
The woman nodded.
"Then what are you?"
"I'm a druid-one of the Keepers of the Nature balance."Lauramel smiled.

While talking Elerina saw a strange light in front.
"We arrived"said Lauramel."Welcome,Elerina,daughter of Aur,to Rienven,the forest city."
A spectacular view burst in front Elerina's eyes-she was entering in a large circle of trees with a beautiful fountain in the center.High in the trees,among the branches,there were little buildings like houses and to them reached wooden ladders.
Around the fountain in the middle of the circle,there was something like strange radiance.
Lauramel led Elerina to the fountain.
"Wait here.The others will come soon."
"The others?"asked Elerina."What do you mean?"
"Soon you'll get the answers you need,child.Now wait here."
Then the woman turned back and disappeared in the forest.

Anira strode deeper into the woods, her senses now on alert for any danger. There was a slight change in the air, as if a heavy mist hung about her, slowing her pace. She paused then and her body tensed as she felt eyes upon her back.

“I know you are there.” she called over her shoulder and a whirled around as a golden-haired maiden with deep blue eyes stepped from the shadows. “Well met, Anira daughter of Amina and Calanon, Shieldmaiden of Andestea.” she said, her musical voice echoing through the secluded woods.

Anira narrowed her eyes in suspicion. “How do you know my name?” she asked. “Who are you?” she questioned.

“You are to come with me. Strangers who travel these lands without a guide easily fall prey to the power of our realm and are never seen again.” she stated, evading the girl’s queries.

“You have yet to answer my questions.” Anira said flatly, her hand ready to reach for her sword.

“Swords will not avail you here,” the woman responded . No sooner where the words out of her mouth than Anira felt an invisible weight pushing down upon her, bringing her to her knees. The young woman grunted as she forced herself to gaze up at her opponent. “What do you want?” she hissed.

The woman smiled and released the spell. “Can you still not see? I am not your adversary Anira. Had I been, you would now be slain.”

Anira slowly nodded in defeat, and lowered her gaze out of respect to the being. “Forgive me,” she said softly. “Henceforth, I shall not question your motives, but please, will you not grace me with your name?”

“I'm Lauramel. Keeper of the south borders of this forest. Follow me, the sorceress awaits you.” Anira nodded and followed the woman to the heartland of the woods.

Anira drew in a breath of awe as she beheld the majesty of the forest city. Drawing back her hood, she gazed in wonder at the quaint homes in the trees and the glimmering fountain at its center as she took a small step forward. “Welcome to Rienven.” Lauramel said warmly as she watched the girl take in the beauty of the city.

“Amazing.” Anira breathed in a whisper. “Never before had I beheld such beauty.” Suddenly her eyes fell upon a girl that waited at the center of the fountain-one that she recognized as mortal like herself.

“Will you not wait with her until the others come?” Lauramel asked as she came to stand beside Anira.

“Others? What do you mean? And who is she?” she asked the guide.

“All will be revealed to you shortly, my child. Go now.” she replied as she stepped back and disappeared into the woods.

“Wait-” Anira called after her, but it was no use. The woman had already gone. Pondering the strange events, Anira slowly approached the girl.
