Well i think Rachel Henley should go for the role, she is the older sister of Georgie Henley (Lucy, Narnia). Here is a picture of her

May I join as well? Pride & Prejudice was a good Jane Austen for me, I saw the film and then read the book---but I've really become a fan after seeing Sense and Sensibility, and I intend to read the book very soon. Becoming Jane looks fabulous, even though I'm not sure how well Anne Hathaway will do. But the fact that it has James McAvoy, Dame Maggie Smith and Julie Walters absolutely tickles me.

Same here Kit. I saw the movies of Pride and Prejjudiec and Sense and Sensibility before I read the books. I like the film and book of Sense and Sensibilty equally as much as the other, and I'm sure you'll enjoy reading it as well. I also saw Emma before I read the book, and like Sense and Sensibility I enjoy both a lot. Which is unsual for me, because usually books that are made into films, I tend to prefer one or the other.

Jane Austen has always had her books done well in terms of films---it may be because of how she writes, film makers are able to interpret, cut some things out without losing the meaning in them.

Yes, that is a very good point. I suppose in a way, her stories are kind of simple, and probably the only thing that may cause problems is getting the period right and the casting. And because of how she writes her characters and how well loved they are, I would imagine they spend an awful long time making sure all the cast are perfect for their roles, even down to the small parts.

So far, in the movies I've seen of her works, they got the casting down pretty well---I can't compare BBC's Pride & Prejudice series, since I haven't seen it, and I hope to soon see it. I adored Keira as Elizabeth Bennett in P&P and loved Matthew MacFayden for Darcy.
I was absolutely in LOVE with the entire cast of Sense and Sensibility.

Admittedly, my favorite couple of all her books is definitely Colonel Brandon & Marianne....well, by film at least---I haven't read S&S yet. ;P

Hmm, well I have only read three of them, but I would say my favourite is actually probably Emma. I'm sure most people would probably say Elizabeth Bennet, but there is just something about Emma Woodhouse, that makes me really like her.

Well, I've read P&P, and found Elizabeth not all too all inspiring---mainly because I'm not a huge fan of stubborn people, and quite certainly Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy are two peas in a pod.
Based on the movies---I would say that I probably like Elinor Dashwood the best, but we'll see about the books.
