I don't see Snape as jealous, either, at least, not in the sense that he wanted Harry as his child. I think Lily really hurt him when she married James, and Snape took some of that hurt out on Harry. I do think he was jealous of how Harry was loved by everyone although he had never really done anything. I would think that to Snape, who was picked on, mocked, and had to try really hard to make friends, Harry didn't deserved to be adored by the wizarding world for something that randomly happened to him when he was only a year old. And I don't think his blatant resemblence to James helped any, either, so Snape saw him as purely James' child.

I also don't think Harry was anymore arrogant than any other teenage boy. But I think he did have control issues, and perhaps a little bossy, but his heart was in the right place.

No, she probably started school late, because you have to be 11 before Sept. 1 to go to Hogwarts. So had she been 16 in DH she would have been going into Hogwarts only 10 years old.

LOVING the chapter-by-chapter reviews, Kit. I am way not patient enough for that, I just sat in a comfy chair and clutched it for six hours straight.

So the reason Snape was so concerned about Harry's welfare was purely because he was Lily's, and Snape loved Lily, and only Lily? So he sort of wanted to prove that he could be...I dunno...he wanted to prove something?

Gosh, I can't get over how sad that is that he loved her his whole life. Can't imagine how distraught he would have been when she died. Or did they cover that in the book? *Goes to look* I haven't read it since Tuesday, c'mon...

What on earth are CVs!? Is it a British thing?!

Yep, CVs are British (it stands for "curriculum vitae", Latin for "course of life", no idea how I knew that but still....)

It's kind of like when you apply for a job, you show them your CV which is a summary of all the education and job experience you've had, which qualifications you have and that sort of stuff. So Vernon wants to see them 'cause then he knows what jobs they'd done in the past, their reputation, and all the qualifications they have :-D

Of course Harry was arrogant, if not as much as James, but Snape with his hatred of James just saw that and blew his slight arrogance out of proportion. I think that he did notice how much he was like Lily, but just chose not to dwell on that, if that makes sense... Or maybe he just didn't like Harry 'cause he was so much like Lily and it hurt?

Oh so they are basically like resumes? I was wondering about that myself. Thanks for clearing that up.

I don't know if snape would ever want harry as his own child, however, even though Harry did grw out of his arrogance snape had a dislike of him since he came to hogwarts. I mean I don't think he could help it because of how much he looked like james. I also don't think he ever took a moment to look into harry's eyes. Which I think if he would have done so he would have seen lily(like he did when he died). Snape even complained to Dumbledore how much Harry was like his father, and Dumbledore told him he needed to take a little closer look to see how very much like his mother he actually was.

Okay, I've always wondered that. So Hermione is indeed older. That means Hermione's the oldest, Ron's the second oldest, and Harry's the youngest. Wow. Interesting.

Ah. CVs = resumes. Gotcha. That makes sense. Vernon's such a fool. :p But he was okay in this last book, mainly because we only had to deal with him for one chapter.

Oh yay, another chapter review. Thanks, Kit. And I agree with all of your points, except I did get a bit defensive of Snape... :)

^Who isn't? Trust me. I'm one of the biggest Snape is a White Hat fan.

Next five chapters of <i>Deathly Hallows</i>.

<b>> Chapter 06 - The Ghoul in Pajamas</b>
Dude, I'm so glad Ron &amp; Hermione have stopped arguing.... more or less. It'd just be nice if they just got together already and get it over with. It'd make us readers feel a lot better. Hermione used magic on her parents ---- another bad move if she is in fact underage. At least we find out how to destroy Horcruxes, because y'know.... it'd be really helpful if we knew.

Ron's ghoul = LOL. Oh my gosh. xD That's brilliant. They're definitely prepared for this, Harry! They're going with you no matter what!

<i>" Oh, well, if you're sure, dear. I'll invite Remus and Tonks, shall I? And how about Hagrid?"</i>
I love how it's not "Remus, Tonks, other people..." it's "Remus <i>AND</i> Tonks". Because they're married you know. ^^

<b>> Chapter 07 - The Will of Albus Dumbledore</b>
Gah----more mysterious dreams. So not the time, JKR! "<i>Twelve Fail-Safe Ways to Charm Witches</i>" LOL, Ron. No wonder why you're more tolerable. Oh yeah, Ginny, you have to snog him to make sure Harry remembers you----right because that's unique for the both of you. As if you haven't snogged half the guys at Hogwarts already. [sighs] Couildn't you have... I don't know, given him a better gift ? A Quidditch photo album, maybe? I'm sure he would appreciate it.

<i>Although Lupin smiled as he shook Harry's hand, Harry thought he looked rather unhappy. It was all very odd: Tonks, beside him, looked simply radiant.</i>
Why is this not surprising? This is why they're perfect for each other. Tonks is all happy and jolly about something, and then Lupin's grumpy and morose about the exact same thing. What on earth is wrong with him?

NORBERT'S A GIRL! LOL! xD That is the best revelation, ever. Hagrid's like, "[gasp]! I've never raised a female creature ever!"

Hermione seriously needs to go into Law. She'd be grand. She could prove the innocence of Voldemort himself----though she wouldn't want to. Dumbledore's gifts for the trio are so very clever, there has to be meanings to them---there's no way they wouldn't have deeper meanings for them.

Okay, let's get this over with: HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE 'SCRIMGEOUR'?! Whenever I try, I find myself tongue-tied.
Hmmm.... if Scrimgeour won't give Harry the sword of Gryffindor like DD intended what on earth is JKR cooking up here? Don't tell me Harry's the heir of Gryffindor.... Gah, cheesy.

"<i>I open at the close.</i>" Ahhh!!! [tears hair out] More riddles----is this necessary, JKR!?

<b>> Chapter 08 - The Wedding
</b>I'm sorry, but.... "Cousin Barny"? xD So Polyjuice can last more than an hour? Or is this a refill type thing? It says Harry took a large dose.... I find it amusing that Lupin & Tonks got married before Bill &amp; Fleur, especially since they didn't get together until (technically) 2-3 months ago.

Speaking of which, Ministry's being anti-werewolf, not surprising especially after Greyback's stunt in the last book, but still. Grrr. Bah to you, too! Why on earth is Lupin so grumpy?! He's married to <u>Tonks</u>! C'mon Lupin! Show some emotion!

OMG----LUNA'S DADDY. Xenophilius----such a fitting name. xD Like father, like daughter. LOL! They're awesome.

<i>"Daddy, look ---- one of the gnomes actually bit me!"</i>
<i>"How wonderful! Gnome saliva is enormously beneficial!'</i>
LOL. xD So cute. I love the Lovegoods.

Aunt Muriel's so amusing. xD
<i>"She's a good-looking girl, but still ----</i> French<i>."</i> MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY, MURIEL. xD Don't worry, I love Fleur----she got so much better after Order of the Phoenix.

<i>"Talking about Muriel?" inquired George, reemerging from the marquee with Fred. "Yeah, she's just told me my ears are lopsided. Old bat."</i>
xD It's so mean, but all the same---so hilarious. xD

AHHH!!! VIKTOR KRUM! WE'VE MISSED YOU! Well, I've missed you, though the fact that you're here doesn't dwell well for----

<i>Ron's ears had turned bright red again. After glancing at Krum's invitation as if he did not believe a word of it, he said, much too loudly, "How come you're here?"</i>
....Yeah. Ron still hates Krum. Why am I not surprised? Everyone knows Hermione only has eyes for you, Ron----goodness knows why---- by you don't have to be jealous anymore. Please. Stop. After six books, it gets old.

A wizarding wedding is quite interesting, I must say. I'd like a wizarding wedding. ^^ Why is everyone so "...augh," at Xenophilius and Luna? I LOVE them. Luna, on the dance floor, freaking people out. Awesome. Who invited her though? Ginny? Oh is it merely just the fact that they live over yonder?

Hah. Harry's making sure Krum lays off Ginny. Why is everyone so threatened by Krum? Seriously, he's a sweetheart, but he doesn't ATTRACT anyone but superficial fangirls.... Like me. I love you, Krum!

Okay. Muriel's a fan of Rita Skeeter, I don't like her so much right now. I really wish Muriel would stop calling Harry, "Barry" because I keep thinking of Barry Manilow, and if Harry starts to break out into song, I'm gonna lose my head.

Kingsley's patronus is a lynx, if this was revealed before, I missed it---because I think this is awesome.
Ending of Ch. 08----HOLY FLIPPING CRAPPERS! >.< Rowling did NOT just do that! [freaks out] Scrimgeour's DEAD?! What the----

<i>Deaths so far:</i> (4) Charity Burbage, Hedwig, Mad-Eye Moody, Rufus Scrimgeour

<b>> Chapter 09 - A Place to Hide</b>
Omg! Omg! Omg! Omg! Omg! Omg! [freaks out more] Nooo!!! It's a bloody wedding! You can't do this! WAR SUCKS! Wha----What?! You guys apparated out?! No! We have to go back to see if Lupin & Tonks are okay! No, Harry! You're our eyes here! Argh! They're not even safe in a cafe----okay, it <i>is</i> a cafe.

Grimmauld Place! Mad-Eye's voice!! That's so cruel now that he's dead. [cries] Woah. The image of DD...wow---these anti-spells are amazing. Doubt they'd work on Snape though. Dang, this chapter is so fast-paced. So scary. Arthur sent a Patronus saying the family's safe, but what about the Order members? Tonks & Lupin?! I'm worried out of my head here! Hmmm, wait a minute. Tonks is related to the Weasleys, right? All pureblooded families are related so if Malfoys are related to the Blacks then the Blacks are related to the Weasleys through the Malfoys.... YES. Tonks and Lupin are safe.... I hope... I really, really hope.

<b>> Chapter 10 - Kreacher's Tale</b>
Baby!Harry is so cute! Okay, so we've discovered who RAB. It's REGULUS BLACK! WOW! We totally did NOT see that coming. </sarcasm> You would think they'd invent Alohomora-proof locks. And if someone searched the room before them, you'd think they'd forget to relock the room----seriously, who thinks to lock the room behind them?

Okay, they just realized the locket that they found in their 5th year was the locket that Regulus took from the lake. Also something wide-spread and guessed through the entire HP-fanation. JKR's probably thinking, "Great, I have no more tricks up my sleeve."
Fret not, JKR. You'll find a way.

<i>"We woke up and didn't know where you were!"</i> <i>she said breathlessly. She turned and shouted over her shoulder, "Ron! I've found him!"
Ron's annoyed voice echoed distantly from several floors below.
"Good! Tell him from me he's a git!"</i>
Ron's awesome.

Kreacher's tale is VERY, VERY interesting----Mugglenet was very close in their theory of Kreacher helping Regulus, but it took such a twist about how Regulus was the one who drank the potion and not Kreacher. Wow... that's amazing. It's almost....noble of Regulus. I'm so very glad we got to know about Regulus and that he isn't taken in the light of a coward anymore as Sirius may have believed of him.

I love Hermione's "I told you so." [sobs] I love Kreacher now. He is the most misunderstood house elf....EVER.

Fwee! Agreed, agreed! I can't wait to read more Kit.

By the way, according to a friend of mine from the mugglecastfans.net forum who went to the live webchat with JKR, Lily did love Snape romantically at one point in her life, but she didn't pursue him farther because by that time he had joined the DEs. Snape didn't understand why she didn't like them and thought that if he became a full DE she would be impressed.

Of course, she wasn't, and the rest is, as they say, history.

JKR made ANOTHER discrepancy. Last week, she said Ron became an Auror. In the online chat earlier today, she said Ron joined Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. *Sigh*. I'm not trying to be rude, but there are so many discrepancies she has made about this book. . .that's the only bad thing.

Hmm. You're right about that Elalie. I think, JKR's so overwhelmed right now that she's finding it hard to keep things straight. I think we can expect a more concrete answer once she writes that encyclopaedia.

Hermione is indeed older than Harry. In the 6th book, she was able to take her Apparation test before Harry, therefore making her 17. She is older than Harry by almost a year if her bday is Sept 21.

Okay. Hermy-ninny's older. Gotcha.

.... I don't know if the fact that Dolohov and Bellatrix killed Remus and Tonks brings me closure or makes me more angry....

I think I've gotten more angry. Especially since in the beginning Tonks said that Bellatrix "tried very hard to kill" her. ARGH. [cries]

[goes to her lonely corner]

Here are the next five chapters of <i>Deathly Hallows</i>.

<b>> Chapter 11 - The Bribe
</b>Ron's using the Deluminator like it's a toy. I knew it was a bad idea. Hermione realizes it, too. Now that Scrimgeour isn't there----well, he's dead---- so yeah. Would Ron and Hermione stop fighting?! They're together or.... "sort of" together . Isn't that enough to push past the bickering stage? xD I'm always suspicious of mysterious cloaked figures, so I'm glad that Lupin clarified himself, though I find it odd that he addressed Dumbledore's dusty figure by "Albus" ---- I vaguely remember him always saying Dumbledore... or maybe it's a personal thing.

<i>"I am Remus John Lupin, werewolf, sometimes known as Moony, one of the four creators of the Marauder's Map, married to Nymphadora, usually known as Tonks, and I taught you how to produce a Patronus, Harry, which takes the form of a stag."</i>
I can't get over it----They're friggin' married. I'm kind of suspicious of his actions, but at least this means he's safe and sound, right? If it is in fact him....Which I sincerely hope it is.

<i>"No sign of Severus, then?" he asked.
</i>Snape is GOOD. Lupin called him by his first name, it's a SIGN. [wishful thinking]

[reads on] Okay, as he's talking to Harry that safety matters, he sounds more like Lupin. :) Yay, Lupin's alive! And by the sounds of it ----rather, the lack of information ---- Tonks is alive and well, too. I find it funny that Lupin could have slopped his butterbeer on his front. For a guy who's scraggly and poor, I imagine him somewhat of a neat freak.

Scrimgeour didn't spill the beans about Harry?! Seriously? That----that just baffles me. Oh well, more brownie points for him. :) Death Eaters were afraid of the ghoul, LOL. xD Nicely done, Ronald.

[gasp] OH noes, Andromeda and Ted got cruciatus'd !!! Noooo!!! [sobs]

Wow, Voldemort's quite clever, isn't he? Is it wrom for me to be most concerned for Ted Tonks and not Hermmione about this Muggle-born Registry? Aww, Ron's trying to protect Hermione. He's finally stepping up. Wait, weren't they being testy with one another a few minutes ago? [sighs into hand]

O_o Lupin, YOU'RE MARRIED. You can't just up and leave your wife, however safe she may be. No one's safe while Death Eaters are in control of the Ministry! I am very angry with you, Lupin! [pause] Wait.

What? What? WHAT?! What the---- Oh my---- [faints] Oh geez, you guys should've seen me. I jumped up and danced around my living room.

<u>Tonks is pregnant<i>. Omg!----Omg! Just....</i> ARGH.</u> This is just amazing. I love you, JKR. You rock my world. I freaked out when I read that Tonks married Lupin, but now? Freaking outx10x10x10x10. Okay, I'll stop freaking out before I get repetitive. Why does Lupin insist on going with them? You <u>definitely</u> can't leave Tonks now---are you kidding? She's preggers with your kid! [reads explanation] You regret marrying her?! Are you KIDDING ME?! Come to America, so I can slap you myself, Lupin! Dude. She was already an outcast---she's a bloody metamorphmagus for goodness sakes!

Attaboy, Harry! Insult him! Pull his buttons! Just don't let him come with you!

<i>"I know," said Harry. "But if it makes him go back to Tonks, it'll be worth it, won't it?"
</i>Good man, Harry! Good man! Lupin, you are ever so stupid to even think such things! Yes, you may be an outcast, people may be ashamed of you, but she, Tonks, LOVES you. And that is why you should be with her, because she's a wonderful person and you'd be too stupid if you'd left her.

<i>"Perhaps just one more, Master Harry, for luck?"
Ron laughed.</i>
Kreacher = awesome.

No! No! No! No! Umbridge has the locket?! Seriously?! Great, that hag. T_T

<b>> Chapter 12 - Magic is Might
</b>SNAPE IS HEADMASTER. [gapes] Wh----the Snape is a White Hat in me says, "Yay!". The "Snape is still a Git" in me says, "Nay!" That's just---that's weird! That just... blows my mind. I can't wrap my head around it. These Voldy visions are way too frequent for my own liking. It's interesting that wand-makers are most-important in the very last book.

<i>They gulped down their breakfast, then set off upstairs, Kreacher bowing them out and promising to have a steak-and-kidney pie ready for them when they returned.
"Bless him," said Ron fondly, "and when you think I used to fantasize about cutting off his head and sticking it on the wall."</i>
We were the exact same way, Ron. :) You're not alone in your change of heart.

<b>> Chapter 13</b> <b>- The Muggle-Born Regirstration Commission
</b>[cringes at the sight of Umbridge] Deck her. Go! Do it, now! Blow her head off! Thicknesse looks a lot more regal than I imagined him to be. Moody's eye! That--------! ARGH! Umbridge is so very VILE.
Hmm, Ministry's targeting Mr. Weasley, Undesirable No. 1----I hope nothing happens to Mr. Weasley, but who's Undesirable No. 1? Interesting. Harry, maybe? Oh---there we go. xD [reads on] Yep. Big happy poster of Harry with UNDESIRABLE NO. 1 on it. He gets a poster---not a file. :) Rita wrote a book on Armando Dippet? Argh.... hate her.

PERCY! I was wondering when he'd show up! Yay! Harry warned Mr. Weasley (Percy still being the git he is.) that he was being tracked. This torturing about true family lineage is brutal, out of control. OotP flashbacks. Maybe the Ministry do control the Dementors? Well, apparently Umbridge's cats are protecting them from Dementors----it reminds me a lot of Egyptian myths. Umbridge has cats----even for a patronus. Eurgh. Yes. Someone knock her OUT. So glad they broke out. Harry using Runcorn's hardcore nature = awesome. Their escape from Yaxley was just intense!

<b>> Chapter 14 - The Thief</b>
Harry woke up with Ron's foot in his face.
Always lovely to have Ron's foot in your face. They're in a forest? I thought they were apparating back to Grimmauld Place? Oh---Hermione had to get rid of Yaxley.

Oh poo---and to think I wanted a taste of Kreacher's steak-and-kidney pie. [sighs]

Oh noes! Ron got splinched! Yeowch! Poor, Ron! Oh, how gross. Darn it. Grimmauld Place has been revealed.

Am I the only person who doesn't understand this line...
<i>Hermione was watching Ron fret over the fate of the Cattermoles, and there was such tenderness in her expression that Harry felt almost as if he had surprised her in the act of kissing him.
</i>I'm sitting here going, "Wha---?"

The locket's as big as a chicken's egg? That's a rather large locket. Harry and Ron eats mushrooms so they don't hurt Hermione's feelings. xD Cute.

Please. Knowing how to cook mushrooms is the least of her worries on the run from Death Eaters. No, Harry! Don't think about Kreacher's torture.... You know, these glimpses of Voldemort's actions, how it's described, is very much like the possession at the end of the Order of the Phoenix movie. Very cool. Geez, Voldemort, you could've at least said, "My bad for not believing you." Great, not only does he not apologize, he kills Gregorovitch.

I'm really tired of Hermione hassling Harry about Occlumency. It's a lot harder than you think it is, 'Mione! Argh! Listen to him, Hermione! It might do you some good, sometime! Ooh! Harry's familiar with the thief. Argh. Blonde....Lockhart? xD Rubbish---Lockhart could never have the guts.

Deaths so far: (5) Charity Burbage, Hedwig, Mad-Eye Moody, Rufus Scrimgeour, Gregorovitch

<b>>Chapter 15 - The Goblin's Revenge
</b>Ron and a bacon sandwich; an endless love affair.
Woah. Harry can't make a patronus with Voldy's locket on. Creepy. I'm worried the locket may affect Harry. Poor, Ron. No food and all. Must be difficult for him.

Frodo + Ring = Harry + Locket

What's up with men and jewelry, gosh. Ron seriously needs to get used to Voldemort's name. It won't get easier to face if he avoids the name. Ron's so very intolerable when he's hungry and wearing Voldemort's soul around his neck. I can totally imagine Harry, Ron, and Hermione standing before the rubble of the orphanage defeated. Almost comically, so. Gah! The Ron-Hermione-Harry fights are SO ANNOYING. We're at war here, you're trying to go in search to destroy Voldemort's souls, can we please try and put the bestfriend quarrels on the back burner for now?!

Yay! Ted Tonks is okay! And it's Dean Thomas! Yay! Gasp. Snape got permission from Voldemort to move it to Gringotts.... and could it be a Horcrux? Brilliant! Wait----it's a fake. Which mean.... it <u>is</u> a horcrux, isn't it? Where's it hidden though? The real sword of Gryffindor. I mean. Perhaps... Voldy and Snape don't know it's a fake.

Ted reads the Quibbler. AWESOME. <3s Ted Tonks LOL. Hermione blind-folded Phineas. xD Omg---that's it! Get the sword to destroy the locket + other horcruxes! Snape sent the thieves into the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid. Wow, that's brutal punishment. That's like borderline Cruciatus right there. Snape has got to be good, right? He's got to know that sending them in there with Hagrid's not even a punishment at all, right? Ron is so hormonal. He keeps having hissy fits, it's rather annoying. Who else finds it awkward that JKR is trying to keep it borderline children's / teen book? With the language and all. Less arguing, more cooperation and finding, please? [sighs into hand] Great. Gah----just bloody great. C'mon, guys! Poor Hermione, she can't take all this arguing.

Just a note, Kit asked how to say Scrimegour, its like... Scrim-jor, thats how JKR pronounces it, and she wrote the books so I'm assuming thats how its said.

Love the reviews Kit!

Well, why can't Ron still work at the Ministry and help George on weekends? Or after hours or something, it isnt totally un possible that Ron just helps out, and doesnt actually work at WWW...

Well, in that interview on NBC she said "Harry and Ron revolutionized the Auror department." So maybe Harry became an Auror and Ron worked at WWW developing anti-dark arts gadgets for them.
