"What?" Layien said, grinning. "Falcon is a different type of charactor...you never know what to expect from him." Layien said, but did as was requested. Shade and Layien and Emmeline found some empty seats only a couple seats down from Aiden and Madison. Shade started to get some food and then Layien glanced at the Slythrien table. She hadn't had to deal with any of them since the train, and glancing at Shade's nice little scar on his face from the ordeal, wished she never had to again. But, instead of turning his attention back to it, she starting getting some of her own food.

Meanwhile, Falcon came up walking beside Jacob on his way towards the Ravenclaw table. "Sucks having friends that are in different Houses, isn't it?" He asked Jacob casually.

"Morning again, guys." Aidan called down the table, slightly amused.

"We need to stop meeting like this." Madison broke in jokingly, referring - of course - to their earlier 'meeting'..if it could really be called that.

"Hm? Oh..yeah." Smiling rather casually, Jacob glanced towards the Hufflepuff table for a moment, then to the Gryffindor table. "It could be a lot worse, though." he added as an afterthought, taking the first available spot he found. Stomach reminding him - not for the first time that morning - of his lack of food, he began gathering some of almost everything, glad that Madison's casual jibe hadn't been true..that breakfast would be gone by the time he got to the table.

Shade grinned and said, "Morning Aiden. How does the morning fair you today?" He asked him, laughter in his pale blue eyes. Layien nodded to Madison's remark. "Agreed." She said, laughing.

Falcon smiled polietly at Jacob and then he sat down and started to eat as well, but he kept glancing back at the Gyriffendor table.

"Well, aside from dreading the official return to school, I'm just great." Aidan offered, pulling a face. Madison rolled her eyes towards the ceiling.

"Don't start that again. I was just starting to enjoy my breakfast."

Shade smiled. "I agree. Quidditch is the only thing stopping me from pulling a Fred and George!" Shade said, mentioning his Uncle's, who dropped out of school around his age. Layien hit him in the shoulder. "Mum would kill you." She told him.

"I wish I could do that." Aidan agreed with a droll smile, folding his arms on the tabletop, food forgotten for the moment. "But I know mum would have my head, let alone dad."

"Uncle Fred and George would probably take it as a compliment, though." Madison said with a laugh. "Scratch that, I know they would."

And again, the penultimate topic had come up..family escapades. Why did it seem that that always came up? Then again, with legends such as the Weasley twins, it was only natural.

Layien shook her head in dismay, but Shade's grin broaded as he said, "Yeah, they would. But Layien's right....mum would have my head...but at least Uncle Fred and Uncle George would smile at my funeral." He said and Layien sighed, taking a sip of her morning pumpkin juice.

"NEWTs are seventh year." Madison broke in suddenly, not so much as glancing up from her study of the table. "Though we have to clear all our classes with our Head of House when she comes around later, figure out which ones we're qualified to take with the OWLs we recieved."
