LOL. AYE!!!!!!!

ha i love acting out to the music!!! it's so fun! we did it at the beach once.

OOOH yesterday i finally made a trip to the disney store! ur right, they are getting rid of the AWE stuff. alot of stuff was on sale and most of it was in the very back of the store, but i found an awesome jack journal, but there wasn't one of will :( but it was only 3.00!!! and i got a will folder from clairs. now i hve one of will and jack!
will does get the second most attention. jack is everywhere! i saw a stand up of jack and a sign on him said '"take me home for 24.00" i thought that was so funny :p i still want to go to wal-mart and see if there is any more pirate stuff left. i heard it was all gone :( but all the stuff i get would be will. ppl have actually come up to me and say "ur too obsessed" it gets annoying b/c they say it all th time. i'll hve to try that proud of it approach. lol.

Ah, good point. (I do like Norrington actually, I think he's my second-favorite guy...he's not bad.) My (female) friend wants more Elizabeth stuff too because she's her favorite character.

Awesome! Someone'll probably come up to you and say "Obsessed much?" in which case you reply "And proud of it!" :P

That's logical too. ;)

Oh, yeah, that sounds like so much fun!!! Acting the movies out to the soundtracks, I mean. Hm...I have friends who love acting... :teehee:

I’m happy you like Norrie too! See more people like him then he’s given credit for  I guess it wouldn't be bad if they made more for Elizabeth either... and I think they'd find the stuff would sell too.

me? Obsessed? Never! I just have a very strong passion for it! lol :-D

Maybe you could get some of them to play along with you. Or don't they know PotC well enough for that? :) and if not talking the lines back and forth to yourself and playing all the different characters is fun too. :-D

wow! you did it on the beach once!? Sweet! *high fives* was anyone else there?

Most of the stuff was gone?! Our Disney Store is downsizing quite a bit but they still have some cool stuff… I'm sorry they didn't have a journal with Will on it too… :(
I'm also surprised your Wal-Mart would be getting rid of all their stuff! For pete's sake the movie's only 2 months old! our Wal-Mart still has quite a bit of their stuff…
Ooo, I've seen the standee of Jack too… and they make one for Will, Lizzie and Barbossa too but you never see those in stores. I don't think I'd pay twenty dollars for a cardboard standup anyway … well, maybe if I had the money and Will looked really good :P ;) but I have a Legolas one I got for Christmas several years ago so I might just keep with him :teehee:
I'm not sure if there is such a thing as too obsessed… if you enjoy it then why should they care? I mean there are a lot of other people out there obsessed with worse things then PotC ;)

That is so true! I'd rather be obsessed with PotC or LotR than the Simpsons or Halo, like the many boys I know from school. :P
I agree, $20 is way too much for some piece of cardboard! (Unless someone else is paying for it! :teehee:)

Yeah, he's a lot more honorable than, say, Jack or Barbossa :P I did find a poster with all 3 main charries (Jack, Will, Lizzie) at Walmart last night, actually. I was a very, very naughty girl and brought it home even though I have no more wall space. :-D But I have a bunkbed and I sleep on the bottom so...

Yeah, being passionate is good! Better than being apathetic anyway.

They do, believe me. One (who bought the fish Kraken) tried to listen to the soundtrack to CotBP while she was trying to fall asleep, but the movie started playing in her head! :duh:  I usually just do the one-man-show thing, that for some reason entertains me to no end...

My mom took me school shopping last night and I bought folders and notebooks with Will on them. :-D It was fun! Now my mom thinks I'm crazy... :P and I got all 3 soundtracks the other day too! I think AWE is my favorite, and my favorite tracks are "Hoist the Colors", "What Shall We Die For", "I Don't Think Now Is the Best Time", and "One Day".

LT, that cutout sounds hilarious!

Ooo, yeah! I have that poster! Isn't it awesome?! Although I wish they had included Barby on it too... not Sao Feng though :yuck:

Much, much better.

lol I would never try to listen to the soundtrack if I was trying to sleep! yeah, sometimes it's fun to act it out alone... it just depends on my mood. But that's awesome you have friends who love it! My brother is the only one around me who enjoys it as much as I do... the rest like it... but not enough to really do anything to do with it... and some have hardly even seen the movie :( and if they have they don't remember it

I'm happy you got to get the folders and notebooks and the soundtracks! Yay for Pirates! :bounce: and you should tell your mom that I don't think it's crazy... if that really is any comfort :P ;)

Oh, you know what? I don’t know if this has been mentioned (it seems like someone has mentioned it somewhere :duh:) but there’s another callback in AWE. It’s that scene when Jack escapes from Beckett and flies over to the Pearl. It’s a lot like when Jack escapes Norrie in CotBP… it plays the same music and everything and the way Beckett and his man talk and the way Norrie and his man talk are a lot the same... that's probably one of my favorite callbacks in AWE! :-D

I was also going to throw out a question for any of our UK Pirate Fan friends out there: in the UK are Liz, Norrie and Barbossa and the other smaller characters bigger over there? Because a lot of neat things for those characters that I find on the net come from there… over here Johnny is huge so Jack is and there's not much for the rest… Anyway I was just wondering about that.

I tried it with AWE the other night but it didn't work out too well. :P Yeah, but I think I scare them with my craziness sometimes...I'm glad you at least have a brother who likes it. Better than nothing right? :)

Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't think that sentiment coming from another Pirates fan would be taken very seriously. :P

PD, William Jack Turner?! That would be so fitting and seeing as how Will was away when the child was born I could so totally see the child ending up with that name. Giving the child the middle name of Jack or Sparrow after Jack Sparrow
Good point you would not believe how many Elizabeths I know.
Oh, I have eaten the Pirates of the Caribbean ceral! I love it! I hate marshmellows in any kind of ceral...except for this kind. We even bought it three or four times. I kept one or two of the boxes as well. :)

Lady of Taniquetil, Congratulations on getting the new Pirates of the Caribbean merchandise. :-D

Taurquende, You are very welcome. I would love to visit Australia. They have beutiful landscape (from what I have seen on television that is), cute guys (such as Hugh Jackman), and their accents are wonderful. I would also love to live in or even better attend college over in England. (dreams) I would like to travel to other countries at some point.
Ah don't worry about that. Practice makes perfet. :)

Lady of Taniquetil and Taurquende and PD, Yes December the fourth seems way too long. I must also agree that they did not keep it in theatres long enough. They barely kept it in the theatre for a month and like a week or something like that where I live. That is just so stupid! I can not wait to Pirates of the Caribbean At World's to come to dvd. I think that they would make alot of money off of it if they were to release it now as well. It was a hit movie and some people seem to even have waited for it to come to dvd to watch it. So in my opinion they should put it out while the buzz on it is still going! Oh, and by the way I asked my sister and she said that she read it somewhere on KttC.

Anie Surion, Actualy I can not think of a name for William Turner either. That would take alot of time for me to try to come up with one for him. However I must agree with you that William Turner III's middle name should be James. :-D
Oh me too! If ever I have a son his name shall most Certainly be William. It is such a beutiful name and as my mother has told me before if you are named for greatness you shall be great (and William was great so our sons would have to be great too). :-D

Hmm acting out Pirates of the Caribbean scenes to the soundtrack? I might have tried it once or twice or maybe ten times.... It is great fun! I especialy love acting out the scene that goes along with my second favorite track (One day). :-D
I have never tried to go to sleep while listening to the soundtrack though. More than likely I would dream about Pirates of the Caribbean if I did that...I really should try it sometime. :-D
Congratulations on all of the new merchandise, everyone! I wish that I could buy the folders too but I have not been able to get to the store lately... :annoyed2: Plus I think that my mother does not really understand why I need a folder when I am homeshcooled and she keeps all of my papers. (sighs) Uh I do have a notebook with Will and Jack from Dead Man's chest on it though! :) I refuse to write in it...
Last year I found a William Turner stand up and it was $30.00. I nearly bought it and I would have had I had a little bit more money. So if at like Christmas I get alot of money and I can find one I may buy me a stand up of Will. :-D
Then as for the stores cleaning out the Pirates of the Caribbean stuff...I am Very sorry to hear that. :( I love buying Pirates of the Caribbean stuff! :'( I have not found any Pirates of the Caribbean sales yet though. So I shall have to keep my eyes open. Thanks for giving me the heads up! :) Perhaps they shall get rid of part of it now and put some of it back on sale when the dvd comes out?

Yeah, William's one of my favorite guy names so I don't know...I'd have to really think about it. Perhaps we should officially give Will III the middle name "James" since so many of us agree. :-D
And also, if anyone asked who wouldn't understand your reasoning you could say he was named for William Churchill or something...there we go, see? ;)

Oh that's one of my favorites too! *high fives* I love saying "Just kiss!!" where Barbossa says it during the battle. :P
Last night I tried it again but no dreams. Oh well.
Aww I'm sorry! The notebook sounds nice though. Well, of course you don't write in it! It's a special notebook! :P
Cool! Have fun with your cardboard Will! ;) I kinda want one but I have no room for one. :annoyed2:
You're welcome. Yeah, we can only hope that's what they'll do with the merchandise later in December...

I'd love to go to Austrailia, too! Ooo, yes, Hugh Jackman and also Heath Ledger. Though Orlando shall always take the cake in that category. I'd love to study in England or on the Continent too. :D

Really? Pretty much all my friends (especially the girls :P) love it, and many have pirate folders and t-shirts and earrings and necklaces, etc., etc., even if it's not from the movie! The other week I saw a car that had "I am a pirate!" written in hot pink on it's windows, and right before the AWE release someone had hung up a pirate flag on their porch! So I guess it's just a lot bigger where I live for some reason.
I know how you feel though... none of my friends like LotR and a lot of them haven't even seen it. :(

The only problem being, the kid's name is never actually spoken. He doesn't get a name except in the credits, technically. But of course we all knew it anyway. :) I'll get right on that... :P

I love stuff with the original four on it... although there doesn't seem to be an abundance of the stuff like that. I know I think my brother gets a little tired of nothing with Elizabeth on it too... he likes her (although probably not for the reasons you'd think of ;)) and Jack.

Much, much better than nothing! My brother and I share every little thing about PotC. :-D But other than him I can understand scaring people with my craziness... well also other than my best friend... she understands what it's like to love things like that. :-D

Your welcome! and that is most unfortunate that that wouldn't be taken very seriously coming from me... lol ;)

Thank you! I actually believe it was my brother who first noticed it... :P

lol yeah, if Jack had his hand in it that poor kid might have ended up with some sorta name like that :P ... at least like I like to believe Jack was there. I mean can you really see Elizabeth staying on that island for 10 years? but actually I still think I like William James Turner :teehee: much better.

I had a little bit of the cereal last night... and it was pretty good actually. :-D

You're right... they probably should put it in store while the buzz is still going on... I would so buy it right now! I'm actually already planning on what scene I'm going to play first before I watch the whole movie through again ;). I am going to go to the store ASAP on the date that dvd comes out! :bounce: but maybe by waiting 'til Christmas time they're hoping to give it a few more months to sell more stuff. Because I'm afraid after Christmas the stuff will really start to disappear. :(

Dreaming about PotC? lol that seems to be the norm for me of late! A couple of nights ago I had a Barbossa dream  weird!

Aww, I’m sorry you haven’t been able to get to the store yet! Well, hopefully you'll be able to and get some of the cool stuff! It doesn't matter if you're homeschooled or not! :-D You still need stuff with Will on it to bring you through the day ;)

I love buying PotC stuff too... and the Disney Store had a Will/Jack charm bracelet today when I went! ooo, it was awesome but when you don't have any money it makes buying the awesome little charm bracelet rather difficult :( :P so I just had to look at it.

....

I knew that sounded familiar! :duh: When I saw that I thought, "Deja'vu! Where have I seen that before?!" Thanks for mentioning that! :D

Sounds good to me! :D I hereby dub thee "William James Turner III!" Someone email the writers and force them to add it to the script! :P

Yeah, my friends have mostly seen it but aren't too big into it... which I sorta miss but hey when I have you guys and a brother like mine I guess it all evens out. :)

Wow! I've never seen anything like that around here! and I can't say I'd go to the lengths to paint that on my car even if I had one! Not ever seeing LotR! :swoon: now that is a shock! that movie has to be one of the best movies ever! But I do know one guy who's never seen it... sometimes people just don't know what's good for them ;)

No problem! :-D I'm happy I could point that fun little callback out!

Yay for William James Turner III! :bounce:

Gee, it's been a while since I've gotten the time to come here!

Aw, it's okay. We kinda took over the thread anyway... :P

I kinda don't get that. I mean, I understand that the merchandise caters to fangirls (which, if you'll believe it, I don't consider myself to be one of) but you'd think they'd realize that a lot of girls look up to Elizabeth as a role model of sorts. Also that Barbossa is one of the coolest villians ever to sail the 7 seas. :P

Yeah, passionate people tend to scare the normal people, I've noticed... ;)

*shrugs* It's okay. She finds it sort of funny. :-D

Cool! He has good eyes.

Anie Surion, Oh Absolutely. Choosing a name for a child totally requires Alot of thought. I have pretty much Always loved the name William (William Turner just made me love the name all the more), so if I was to have a son he would stand a fair chance being named William. I totally get what you are saying though and I totally agree. :-D
Well, that most certainly works for me. William James Turner. :-D
Very true, I could just tell non Potc fans that he was named for another William. I do not know much about William Churchill though (except that he went to Yale, spent some time in England, studied different cultures, and I want to say that he spoke at the very least three languages...maybe naming a child after him would be a good thing... :) ) Thanks for the suggestion. :-D
Oh yes that quote is loads of fun! :-D That scene was so funny.
Oh, I am sorry. Sometimes I dream about pure craziness when I dream about potc though, so maybe it is for the best. :teehee:
Thanks for the hug. (hugs Anie Surion back). Yeah, the notebook is pretty coool. Eaxtly, it's too special to write in!
lol Yeah, when and if I get a stand up of Will I shall certainly have fun. :-D I will stare at it all day and perhaps even run the risk of being called insane by acting out scenes with it standing there. Oh, I am sorry. Could you invade another room or move somwething somewhere else to make room for it?
I certainly hope so. I need just as much potc as I can humanly possabley obtain after all. :-D

Taurqunde, Oh, thanks. Yeah, I have been on a little less lately (because my great aunt died and then I had to have nine stitches put in my thumb on my left hand...so I am having to type alll this with one hand. :( Sorry that I have not been on as much lately)
I totally agree with you! Oh, I have seen one picture of Heath Ledger and...he is cute and Orli is by far my favorite of all group (and that is sating alot because I reallly, really like Hugh and Heath is cute) (sorry about being off topic there)
A girl painted "pirate's girl" on her car? Ooh that is so, so cool! :bounce: My mum and Ada would totally freak out if I ever did such as that...but it would be so cool (I am a good girl though so I won't...despite how tempting it is. :teehee:)

PD, I think that Jack was there too. Uncle Jack is what I like to use as his name in potc fanfictions and such. I can't really see Elizabeth staying on that island for that long either...she is too adventurous (in my opinion) to stay there for that long. I like Williams James Turner better too but William Jack (or Sparrow) Turner too. :-D
I am glad to hear that you like the cereal too. :-D
Thank you. I would totally buy it right now too! I can not wait to get AWE on dvd! :bounce: Ooh good idea! Uh, I think that I shall watch Will's "death" scene first. :-D Which scene are going to watch first? Very true. Really they are probabley going to make a ton of money off of selling AWE on dvd despite whenever they decide to release it. (shrugs)
Yep, I have dreamed about potc a few times before..though I hardly ever remember what exactky that I dreamed about. :teehee: Barbossa? Still kind of cool though because Barbossa is from potc...and well he is kind of cool. :-D What did you dream about him, if you do not mind my asking?
Right, right. I will probabley get to go to the store later. :) Exactly! If it has Will on it I Need it!
Ooh a Jack and charm?! Way cool! I am sorry that you were not able to buy it. Maybe you shall get to buy it some other time.

The only problem being, the kid's name is never actually spoken. He doesn't get a name except in the credits, technically. But of course we all knew it anyway. :) I'll get right on that... :P

Exactly, they should add it. ;) All they have to do is call Keira back for a few lines of dialogue and stick in in the end scene after the credits. :P

I agree. Elizabeth is a good role model, and she's also a main character! It feels so out-of-balance that there's all this stuff of Will and Jack and next to nothing of Elizabeth. And just because Barbossa isn't particularly attractive doesn't mean it isn't as cool as Jack! :P

Yes, I've noticed that too. But I find there are no normal people, only nonpassionate people. :P

Tell me about it. I've tried to get them to watch it, but they always say something like, "It's too long, and Johnny Depp's not in it!" I know a lot of Depp fanatics. :teehee:

Wait, did she mean William or Winston Churchill? I didn't even know a William Churchill existed until a couple minutes ago when I googled his name. :P
