Lee shook her head and said, "Do not be sorry. Curiousity is a blessing, I believe. And you never know...maybe we will go there..." Lee said, looking around, as if doing that would tell her all the answers to all her questions, which she knew it would not.

Kat placed a hand on Phyllis's shoulder offering a smile. "If it helps, Phyllis... we're scared too. On the bright side, we're leaving all of that behind. Once this ship makes port again we can start over and no one will ever know who we used to be, just who we are."

Phyllis backed away a bit as she felt Kat's hand on her shoulder. She wasn't used to such soft touches anymore, not from people who where so much higher than herself. But as she heard Kat and felt the touch, she realized what she had missed all the time. She looked into Kat's eyes and knew, the two girls wouldn't do anything to her, nothing she was used to. Suddenly, she felt some kind of security again. "Thank you", she whispered, smiling for the first time.

Lee matched her smile and said, "Don't mention it!" She looked around again and up at the walls. "I wonder if there is any food or anything around here..."

Phyllis moved closer to Lee and Kat, however she still felt uncomfortable around them. She nodded at Lee and said a silent "Thank you" again. Then she looked at the barrels around her. She had wondered by herself if there where something to eat, she couldn't remember when she hadn't the feeling of being hungry the last time. "We can't search here for something to eat..." she shyly said, knowing that she wasn't allowed to say others what they should or should not do. "What if...what if they find us...what will they do to us?"

Lee was about to answer her second question, but then stopped. Her father had told her many stories of pirates, so many that she could easily become one herself, and when they found stowaways or enemies...let's just say she knew some things that the other two girls wouldn't want to know. And if this ship was indeed the ship she thought it was...she didn't know what would happen. So, she said simply, keeping her voice calm (a trick she learned from her mother), "I have no idea what they will do to us. Let us pray that they will listen."

Phyllis nodded as she heard the totally calm voice of the girl, but then she looked into Lee's eyes. Something was wrong here, something in Lee's look was wrong. Phyllis began having a feeling that Lee would know exactly on which ship they where or what would happen to them if they were found here. But she didn't say anything. First. her idea was quite ridiculous, how could Lee know this? And she knew that she already said and asked more than she was allowed to.
