Geraldine:
It was early the next Monday morning, 5:54, to be exact when Jenny left to go pick up Cassie. She was excited and couldn't wait, she was sure Cassie was too! She would begin training as soon as she got back, 7:00 o'clock this morning but she knew that later on it would be much earlier than that. She arrived at the gas station at around 6:15, the train was punctual, and everything was going great, they started to unload the various animals off the train. Geraldine waited...no Cassie. Maybe the next train, she went to ask the man in charge who was sitting behind the desk. "I'm waiting for my horse." she said smiling but worried. "The next train perhaps?" "I'm sorry miss." the conductor replied "We ain't got no more animal trains 'till next week" "Well..."Jenny began to argue but stopped. She would go back to the hotel and call the station, she would find more information, that way.

Patricia:
Pat got up bright and early the next morning. Filming was starting immediatly! She woke up at around 3:30 and arrived at the make-up room immediatly, and punctual at 4:00. There were three other men in the room besides the one in her charge. Sean Astin, Elijah Woods, and Domonic Monaghan, and then of course in her care was billy Boyd. They were up early because she would need time to apply the prosthetics. Elijah got up and put on an Arosmith (sp?) cd. Coming from a family of 6 brothers, Patricia loved it! She grew up in a houshold of rock and moved with the beat as she began to apply bIlly's hobbit ears. She was soon deep in conversation with Billy and found herself laughing all the time. "He has wit, this one" she thought, and he did. He was charming, witty,funny, good-looking...she was going to enjoy these next three years!

Jamie walked in to the dim light of the restraunt. The ride from the airport had been awful. The taxi had gotten lost at least 3 times. She spotted the table immediately. PJ spotted her and said, "Hello! Who are you?" "I'm Jamie Calvin, Miranda Otto's PA and make-up assistant." she answered timidly. Miranda said, "Oh, it's lovely to meet you. Sit there," she said, pointing to a spot across from her. "Welcome to New Zealand for the next three years! Where are you from? I can't seem to remember," asked Miranda. "I'm from Brisbane, or just outside it, anyway." "Wonderful! I'm from around there! It is so nice to meet someone from home!" they talked the whole meal about home and family, and their future in the movie. Jamie also got the chance to meet Liv Tyler, someone who she had always admired in her movies, and Sir Ian McKellan, and many others. After dinner, they headed back to the hotel. For Miranda's convenience, Jamie's room was just across the hall from her's. Yelling goodnight down the hall, she went to sleep almost immediately.

Jake got up. He yawed. It was 6:00. Hee put on some jeans and a black shrit. He drove out to the stables. "Hello,who are you?" He asked the horse. Pulling her out of the trlier. Puting the mare in a stall. Yawing as he got out his horse black taking him for a quick ride. He unsaddle his horse putting some hay in the two stalls. "See you later,black,unknown"He said. Driving to the set and started to set up the carman.

The Quiet A-U Gentlewomen

Jamie got up the next morning at 3:30 to help with the arduous project of putting on 4 pairs of hobbit feet and countless pairs of elf ears and orc prosthetics. She was the glue girl: she painted on the glue for the various peices of laytex and gelatin onto the actors and extras. Doing her pre-running stretches to get out the aches and pains of traveling, she put on a loose-fitting t-shirt and some jeans, put her hair in it's customary bun, brushed her teath (by the way, it is now spelt 'teath') and walked out, ironically without any make-up. She went to the car waiting for her (she wouldn't get a car until the next month ).

When she got to the trailers, she was very pleased to find some fruit and muffin baskets set out for everyone. Jamie had always been a big breakfast person, and a morning person. She started on the hobbits' feet, then went on to the elf ears, where she had the pleasure to meet Liv. "Hello! What is your name?" she asked in her particularily nice and friendly way. "I'm Jamie, and I will be applying your ears today ." Liv gave a small laugh, and Jamie started on the ears. Once she was finished, she noticed Tereasa, and greeted her. "Goodmorning...Tereasa, isn't it?"

The couple arived at the set, and Carly looked at her script again. Her character would appear a few times in the first movie, in both Rivendell and Lothlorien. Rick would appear at Lothlorien only, however.

Geraldine came back a little frustrated, a little anxious. While she came back she saw various people on horses, and that made her want to see Cassie even more. She saw Mercedes and her horse, she waved politely and Mercedes gave a nod of acknowlegdment back. She was anxious to see what was going on and she headed over to Mercedes and asked "Have you seen my darlin'? Well, my horse, I mean." Mercedes had not seen her anywhere, just as Geraldine had expected. Jenny then aksed if Mercedes had seen Peter, Mercedes told her she had just seen him go by to the breakfast hall. "Thank you!" Jenny said swiftly and began to chase Peter who was now entering the breakfast hall. "Ah! There you are!" Peter boomed, "huh..I -wha-?"."I expect you're looking for that beautiful horse of yours, no?" Jenny astonished and relieved said "Yes! Yes! You've seen her!?" "Yes, she's here, safe and sound!The Stable E, stall 17" "Got it! Thank you!" Jenny exclaimed, and began to run to stall E. She got there and found Cassie in exactly stall 17. "Hello darling!" she said in her british accent,to her horse, "You must have a lot of energy in you! Lets go!" She saddled her horse, gave her some water and began to ride.

Patricia:
After almost four hours, Patricia and the other 3 make-up/hair stylists in the room, finally finished with the four hobbit actors. This morning Pat had recieved help from a quiet girl who had helped with the prosthetic feet. "Billy" Pat said turning his chair around "we're done". "With today" he said giggling in his charming scot voice that Pat could just die for. It was 7:45 now, and before noon Billy had to return to the dressing room twice to get his ears and feet re-glued, and his make-up redone! What do they make them do!? Pat thought.
