*ahem*
I think we have all been affected by someone on the TV at some point. Whether in character or as themselves.
Speaking off Britain's Got Talent, thanks to YouTube, I got to watch videos of the winner, Paul Potts.
Oh. My. Gosh. That guy is AMAZING!!! I can't imagine someone like that showing up for American Idol, our shows are so regrettably tacky.
Anyway, back on subject, I must agree with JF. If that scenario occured anywhere other than my dreams I would be seriously surprised.

Yay!
I like making up scenarios. But honestly, how many times has that scenario shown up in movies?
lots.
Anywho, ladies...maybe we're getting slightly off-topic?

Oh goodness no! [Unless I couldn't pronounce it of course.. that would caust some slight communication issues ] If I'm that much in love I don't think the name really matters. Last names however, I will definitely be paying attention to. My poor cousins last names start with Z and they're last for everything! I'd hate to go from the beginning of the alphabet to the end. Although.. as I said, when you're in love I guess it doesn't much matter.

Oo, now if it was a ridiculous name than no go for me. I think it'd be rather pointless to marry someone when you can't say their name without laughing your head off.

JF, my dear, you are one of a kind.
I happen to know a girl named Brooklyn, she annoys my socks off.
What names DO you like, by the way? (directed to everyone, not just JF)
I like the name Jack, a lot. James too.
And the female name Audrey.

Don't worry, I'm a girl and I usually don't understand other females.

His name would not make a difference. Maybe in the first-time attraction, but if it got serious, I wouldn't laugh at his name anymore. I'd grow to love how it fit him, because I'm so in love with this guy.
My favorite male names right now are Jonathan and Michael because they have such cool nicknames.
Ellie -- haha! *cough* It wasn't that funny, I guess, just something I've heard a lot. I'm not quite sure what to shed light on. I'd love to, but could you be a bit more specific?

@ Ellie as well: I think we women may as well right a book for you guys. It's not our fault we're so confusing! What might we shed some extra light upon?
Yay for names! I've got a whole list going right now actually. A few of the names include - Elijah, Peirce, Hayden, Matthew, William, Griffin [yes, I do know a boy by that name], Gavin, Ivan, Travis, Jaime, and Ansley.
