Oh dear. *pat pat*

But it's true what Eä says. If any one actor on those movies actually stays consistently good in their acting is Alan. He gets better and better every time. Although, Maggie Smith is definitely up there as well. *le nod*

Yes, I know. I think actually most of the adult actors are like that. Except of course for Richard Harris who can't get much better... because...er..yeah. :D

Gimli...??? Ehh, thought you didn't visit here... that's sort of why I posted the same in the Alan Rickman actor thread.... if I'd known you came here too, I wouldn't have bothered.. :-)

But yeah, Maggie Smith is divine and so is Richard Harris... perhaps in more than one way.. *sigh*

And I still haven't seen Galaxy Quest.. haven't had time to look for it after school started *sigh again*

*pat pat* I'm sure you'll find the time to watch it soon. When you find it that is. :D

Why, why, why is it that Blockbuster only's got... well.. blockbusters??? No Galaxy Quest there...

Ohh yeah, you come here.. sometimes I get confused. Actually, I like the actor thread better.. I'm not so swoony-ish about Alan Rickman. He's too cool and dignified to swoon over. :-)

They are biased that's what it is. Don't wish the population to witness the awesomeness that is AR. Probably because the owner of Blockbuster's nephew or something wanted a role that AR got, and is famous for.... 'tis a conspiracy...

Lol, well cool and dignified never stopped me... :teehee:... y'all have to find the song Intelligence from the animated film he was in - Help! I'm a Fish... oh, my word.... I melt each time I listen to that.... :swoon:

Lol, yeah what a conspiracy theory... but just one of many, I assume!

What voice was he in Help! I'm a Fish? I don't think I've seen it. You think I can YouTube-search the song?

Aye, one of many. ;)

I have no idea actually, I've never seen it. The lyruics seem to suggest he is called Joe.. and I know he is the "bad guy".. hmm.. maybe you could... Ala sent it to me via email... maybe I could do the same for you? :-)

It would almost make me want to suffer what is without doubt going to be a terrible film.... :eyeroll:

Yep, yep, yep. I'll have to see if I can forward Ala's email to you... going into unknown territory for me, lol.

Goodness me, I haven't been here in a while! ACK! I need to get back to my Alan Rickman fawning and drooling! XD *cough*

*giggles*

Ha ha ha....So, I the other day when I saw that AR was going to be in Sweeney Todd I basically flipped. :P Just so ya'll know, he's playing the "baddie." Which in itself, is hard to say...because...well, the play is, from different points of views, full of baddies. XD Did that make sense? Ha ha ha. From Sweeny's point of view, he's the baddie...and considering Sweeny is the coolest, I see the Judge as a baddie. :P Man, I just need to stop. :P
So, basically, I can't WAIT for Sweeney Todd! Ha ha ha. It's my favourite musical and play of ALL time. Hands down. :notworthy: Utterly brilliant. :P Of course, it appeals to me...being so morbid and all. Ha ha ha. It's SUCH a bizarre story, and rather violent. But I love it. :P So, I'm SUPER excited for this movie. I mean, Johnny Depp AND ALAN RICKMAN?! Good god. So, I hope it's good. :P It is a Tim Burton film, so it should be interesting to say the least. ;)
And considering the violence of the play, it'll probably be rated R (in the States). But I'm not sure. Not sure how they've done it...sooo yeah.
Has anyone here SEEN the musical by the way?

Johnny's Fan wrote:
LOL!! The spoon line is awesome!

Sheriff: I'm going to cut his heart out with a spoon

Guy: [looking confused] Why a spoon cousin? Why not a knife?

Sheriff: Because it's dull you twit, it will hurt more!

Me>>>>

OH my god! Greatest line in that film! :roflmao:
Which reminds me, ALL the time this summer at the ranch that I worked at, we would quote that line SO many times! :P Actually, it was more between me and the head wrangler...but still. And I think that line somewhat inspired me to come to the conclusion that the best way to kill someone would be with a spoon and a non-serated butter knife. XD
Yes, this post has proved that I'm a rather morbid and violent child. :P Sweeney Todd being my all time favourite play. :P

Anyway, that's my blabbering on for the night. :P Totally random, I know.

Yay, welcome back MB - to A-U and to a better world with Alan Rickman! :-)

I haven't heard of Sweeney Todd before I heard that Alan Rickman would be starring and I still only know the bits I've read on IMDB and Wikipedia... I can't wait though, it sounds like a great plot. Musicals-adapted-to-movies are always fun and it's a Tim Burton movie; another guarantee for good entertainment!! :P

@ Monty - Ah, I didn't know he would be playing a baddie in ST... but as you said, to ST he is going to be the baddie. Have you seen the posters for it? Aw, it looks awesome... my kind of film... if it's full of fun gore like Sleepy Hollow then I will be well happy. I don't know much about the story or anything, or the songs, so it will be a new thing for me. I hope I get to see it in the cinema, I mean....

Tim Burton + Johnny Depp + Alan Rickan - :swoon: :-o

*bounces round thread*

Definitely. I'll remember to use the good ol' spoon if ever the opportunity arises.

@ Ea - I be sending it to you now. ;)

Awww! Thanks for welcoming me back, Ea!
(By the by, you asked me a while back about that Snape banner I had up...it was made by our loverly JF! :D)

I think you'll definately love Sweeny Todd. It's a brilliant story. AND the fact that its Tim Burton, well...it SHOULD be brilliant! XD

*squirm*

I dunno about ST. I mean, I wouldn't give up the chance to see Alan Rickman for anything, but if this is anything like Sleepy Hollow I may have to pass. I'm not all into gore and all that. Although I'm sure it will be a fabulous movie for those of you who like that kind of stuff. :-D Tim Burton, Johnny Deep, and Alan Rickman... wow!

And a [late] welcome back to ya, MB!
