Lol. :) Don't worry, I have friends who have gone with someone and regretted it a lot later. It's much better going with friends. :)

Have fun looking for a dress! And yes, I want a pic of it. :) I don't know if I need a new one or not for my homecoming... oh well, I still have a while to think about it.

Well, I got twelve hours of sleep last night to make up for it. So hopefully I won't try to bite anyone's head off. :P I know exactly what you mean.

Well, as I kinda suspected my drivers lecense thing got postponed until next monday so I don't go it yet.

yeah, I would like to take the job or at least apply but I really am just waiting and trying to figure out if that's what God wants me to do right now. so...

Sounds like you and your friends had a pretty fun time Arwen. lol Although sleep deprivation doesn't quite effect me in that way, I just start seeing things that aren't there when it get s really bad. lol

Hope you guys have fun at homecoming. I honestly have not a clue what it's about since I have never been to any sort of formal function outside of church, funerals, and a few weddings in my entire life.... lol I know I don't get out much. But all the same I can understand how going with a group (anywhere) would be better than going with a "date" so to speak. Well, talk to you guys later. *waves*

Ah, well. You'll still get it soon. :)

Thankfully I didn't have any school today because of some random teachers' meeting or something, so it's nice to have the day off.

Talk to you guys soon. :)

Hmm... artists.... well, out of the ones you listed I've only heard of Debrah Arlyn. I like a few of her songs a lot. Some of my other ones are Coldplay, Snow Patrol, this random guy called Ray LaMontagne... he has a cool voice. Some of the songs I like from him are "Can I Stay", "Hold You In My Arms", and "Within You." They grow on you a lot. :)

Hmmm... I also like Keane, some Emiliana Torrini... that's about all I can think of right now. :P I'll let you know though. :)

I just got back from horses. Which I definately needed today. When I feel stressed, riding always manages to calm me down and forget about everything I have to do. (Kind of ironic- I know it's the opposite for you, Pip ;) )

Artists. Well I have not heard of any of those you mentioned that I can think of.

But then i listen to christian music and christian music only. Anything else always has the potentual to get inside your mind and tempt, mess you up, or lower your standards.

i disagree with that. we are humans. music is for expression. sometimes you have to express things that, while God is always there and in your mind, don't deal directly with God. some music....a lot these days, is tempting yes, but then, those r usually rap songs which i dont consider to be music anyways....dont mean to be defensive, but dont knock it til u try it. and even then, be open-minded. i luv christian music; it's great, and very inspirational and hopeful. but just b/c a song doesnt deal directly with God doesnt mean it 'lower's ur standards.' not trying to be mean or anything. just as a fellow-musician, try to be more open-minded....there's some amazing stuff out there that God can use to speak to you with, even if it isn't specifically about Him.

Ray LaMontagne......i like the name....hafta look him up....:)

I have to say that I disagree too. I think a lot of other songs have a lot of meaning and good in them too, although I also like Christian music. I do know what you're saying though, because I absolutely hate rap music. Otherwise though... I think that there are a lot of great songs and artists out there that aren't necessarily "Christian" but have good meaning and expression. And I agree- music can be "inspired by God" or whatever you like to call it even if its not Christian.

That's my opinion. :)

You should, Pip- I think you'd like the three songs I mentioned. Like I said, they grow on you a lot after you listen to them a bit. :P

Yes, I know there is LOTS of good music that is not Christian music. I am not saying there isn't what I mean is that you never know what you are going to hear if you listen to other music unless you already know the song.

I don't want music with cussing, I don't want love music because that works on your emotions and appeals to youthfull lust... it's just a personal preferance to keep myself clean since the bible says flee from it.

Now, don't want to start an argument. I know we have talked about Harry potter before and Halloween but I worked up something I think explains my point of view and I would like you guys to take a look and tell me what you think if you don't mind.

(read below if you'd like)

Ok. You want bible proof to prove that Halloween is bad here it is. (this goes for Harry potter as well)

First to set a little ground work.

Matthew 5:17 (King James Version)
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. (simple fact: God came to fulfill the Torah (five books of Moses) and the Prophets (the rest of the old testiment) That is how he proved that He was messiah. This proves that all the evidences in the old testiment are relavent because if they were not Jesus could not prove himself to be messiah.

Now...

Mathew 7

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Here it says "Depart from me ye workers of iniquity" The word iniquity here in the Greek is Anomia A=without Nomia= Torah Here iniquity means without Torah or lawless.

Now for the bible versus that speak specifically to witchcraft and all the sorts which are directly linked to Halloween and Harry potter. (If you don't believe that do a little research just type in a search engion "Origeons of Halloween" )

Exodus 22:18 (King James Version)

18Thou shalt not suffer a witch[b] to live.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (King James Version)

10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that [b]useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

2 Chronicles 33:6 (King James Version)

6And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Galatians 5:19-20 (King James Version)

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Micah 5:12 (King James Version)

12And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

Leviticus 20:27 (King James Version)

27A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

Revelation 21:8 (King James Version)

8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 22:14-15 (King James Version)

14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Revelation 9:20-21 (King James Version)

20And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

21Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Notice not ONCE did it ever mention witchcraft, sorceries, or any of that stuff in a positive manner. It's always negative!

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 calls it an abomination. The dictionary definition (as if thre word were not self exoplanitory enough) says "Extreem disgust or hatred. Abhorance, detestation, loathing. That which is abominable. Anything hateful or shamefully vile.

Now if God calls it all that then why on earth would we (claiming to be Christians) want to have any at all to do with such things?!

1 Thessalonians 5:22 (King James Version)

22Abstain from all appearance of evil.

This says ALL appearance of evil. It doesn't say don't do the evil but flee from even the appearance of it!!

God did not intend us to celibrate the day of the devil, nor read books with witchcraft in them, or have anything to do with these things. We are not even suposed to be asociated with these things because it scars our witness. No one is going to think Christians are anything special if they find out that we say we follow God and the bible yet we pick and choose which commandments we want to listen to to. It doesn't work that way!

James 2:10 (King James Version)
10For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

If we break just one point of the law we are guilty and have sinned. It is either we keep the whole law or we don't keep it at all!
