Ok, want to see what you all think.

(I know most people here will favor the wizzards from LOTR moste likely but think realistically about your opinion not who you would WANT to win please. thanks)


Please tell who youthink would win in a fight and why, a wizzard from LOTR or a Jedi.








I personally think a Jedi would win, mostly because of the lightsaber (huge advantage) But also because Jedi have a wider range of force powers than wizards seem to have of their powers. And a good Jedi could also block many of the Wizzards attacks with the force.

^these are some good cases presented in the Wizards' favor... I personally can't make up my mind on this one. I think it would be a pretty even battle... I mean don't they both basically have the same powers and strengths?

It would really depend on the situation. A jedi is much faster, but I think a wizard is more powerful. So I can't really say.

And I agree the full strength of a Wizzard in LOTR is stronger perhaps being a Maia BUT, the way I understand it is that they are prohibeted from using much of their power.



And yes, the powers are basically the same, and while Jedi are mortal (not all are human ) they have extensive combat training and as I mentioned lightsabers. *shrugs*

lol but I just thought it would be interesting to see everyones opinions on it. thnx all for adding to the discusion.

..I love the Jedi, too
...but I still think that the wizzs would win.
Wizzs are taught the practicalities and potions of magic,
most Jedi, (I think), are mainly mind-warpers and soldiers..

It could be a cool battle, with twists and turns

True wizzards are tought those things.

But jedi are not just mind warpers and soldiers. Infact the basic training of the Jedi is to be in tune with the force and use it as an ally to help them.


Jedi powers ranger from Jump, Push, Pull etcc... all the way to things such as as Absorbtion, deflect, evade, rebound, throwing fire, stealth, levitation, block, and many many more powers.

well wizards have magic and staffs,jedi have the force(which is practically the same as having telekinesis)and lightsabers(just about the coolest weapons ever).my favourite would be wizards but i think the jedi would win.

It depends... If the Jedi was, say, a very thick and slow-witted Jedi, then the Wizard would win. Because wizards aren't slow and thick, ya know?

It also depends on whether or not it's an evil wizard. Because a nice wizard wouldn't just go blasting the Jedi to kingdom come. An evil wizard would, though.

I could go on like that for a long time. It's a bit hard to judge since they're both sickeningly moral (they need some deranged psychopath Jedis. That stay Jedis) and wouldn't be fighting each other to begin with.

lol yes, I know. That has been brught to my attention before.

But we are moving on the assumption that one of the two is evil. like dark Jedi against good wizzard or dark wizzrd against good Jedi.


But yes, it is very hard to judge anyway.
