The creepy thing about Beauty and the Beast is that it came out the year I was born, and Belle is a lot like me (brown hair and eyes, loves to read, and is thought of as "weird" by most people). It freaked me out when I watched it again during the summer.

Thanks, I only saw the original Lion King... but it all makes sense now.
Hm... I really like Simba... and Nala, why? Because they're lions, of course!
The princess in Aladdin is nice too.. and umm.. shamefully enough, I don't remember many others, than the ones which have already been mentioned....

I'm going to be like, the first guy (I think) to post in here. I had a high exposure to Disney films when I was a kid, and they're still among the favorites of my four older sisters. They don't rank too awfully high among the main lists of movies I've seen, but I do enjoy a few of them.
My favorites are Sleeping Beauty (Prince Phillip is the BEST!), Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, and The Rescuers.
My sisters like the movies for the princesses. I still think the Beast and Prince Phillip rock. I like The Jungle Book and The Rescuers because both movies were absolutely hilarious.

WOW i dunno when it came out, but that pretty much describes me to. i never thought about that before! people thinking i'm weird is where LotR comes in.
i dunno why i never really liked the jungle book, but i just loved Bagera. (sp?)
i like the Sword in the Stone. one day me and my friend felt like watching disney movies and we watched the sword in the stone and then quest for camelot. it was funny b/c we compared merlin and king arthur.

Oh, we're talking about our fave Disney classics? cool! I use to watch these ALL the time!
Well, I always loved 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid, and pretty much all the other princess movies... except Snow White... that one always kind of scared me when I was young. and I'm sure there's others.... we had like every one ever made there for a while...
Gee, and come to think about it it's been a LOOONNNGGG time since I've watched any of the classic Disney movies... I should've rented one while at the library today! especially Aladdin…. I've never seen it, but I'd like too.

Yeah, I saw it, but I didn't think it was even close to comparing with the older movies. Still, it was okay.
Haha. I remember being scared of the evil witch/queen in Snow White when I was little....at the same time, I thought that Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty was around as cool as villains could get.
I agree with you, Aerlinniel--most of the Disney princes were too perfect. I didn't like any of them except for the Beast (well....he's just....the Beast. He's cool) and Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty. Phillip was the bomb.
I always thought that Flounder was cool in The Little Mermaid, though I didn't enjoy the movie so much beyond that (still, it's one of my favourite Disney movies).

Oo, Disney! Three words sum up my childhood:
The Lion King.
I love this movie to death. When I was a kid, it was my favorite movie ever. You could call it my first obsession. I was forever pretending to be Nala and singing songs from it and quoting it. And I love Timon and Pumbaa.
Snow White was another one that I liked because of the music and the princess. The witch scared me out of my mind as a child, though. I used to have nightmares, and kept thinking I saw her in my window at night. I couldn't be in my room with the blinds up for ten years.
Mary Poppins, although I didn't really understand the beginning, or what was happening with Mr. Banks. But the songs were great and I loved the animated part.
Those are the ones I own and know best, but other greats for me were Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmations, Aladdin, Cinderella, Tarzan, and The Aristocats. (Even though the last two made me cry. )

Haha, I know what you mean! Not that it was my favorite Disney movie (I think The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast were mine) but I've seen this movie soooo many times! It's my 4 year old brother's favorite movie ('cept for maybe Spider-Man, and Batman - which he's never seen . What is it that attracts boys to those movies by just seeing pictures of the heros?). It's funny! I've watched it soo many times I can quote pretty much the whole thing (so can he, btw. 'Tis very cute ) and draw connections from the High School Musical song "Everyday" to "Can you Feel the Love Tonight". Okay, that scares me!
Some of my other favorite Disney movies were Aladdin, Tarzan, and Winnie the Pooh.

Oooh! Hercules was great, too, even though the proportions and stuff were way weird in it.
*gaspspluttercough* Aerlinn!!! You didn't like Phillip!?!?!? He's so cool! He is way cooler than Prince Charming in Cinderella or Snow White, for instance.
And he fights Maleficent, who was also really cool. After all--she turns into a dragon, which was really freakishly awesome when I was little.

^ Whoa, that is.... very... different. Took advantage of her in her sleep? Ugh. *shudder*
I usually get mad when Disney edits stuff beyond recongnition, but in this case... I think it was justified.
