Ember waited until the others started the fire, then carefully walked over and placed her egg in it. for some reason she still felt that the egg might be in danger, so she didnt take her eyes off of it.

The egg seemed to call to Kith. He handled it gently, as if it were a babe just born, then carried it slowly to the fire. As he passed by Arithnu, staring vacantly into the clouds, he shapened his eyes to that of an owl and glanced her over. With his supreme sight he could see the minute differences that seperated her from a human: The fluid cat like grace of her body, the way she flicked her head to each new sent and sound, the feral glint in her eyes...all wholly undetectable by a mere human, even if they knew she was a shifter. Kith knew, though, which is why he focused his gaze on her wrist. A tatoo, visable in the fire light, beconed Kith's attention. He diverted his gaze quickly and shuffled towards the fire.

Placing the egg in the fire, he growled at himself. He had suspected to see that marking, and yet when he did it burned him in surprise. He glanced up from the fire, briefly looking into Aruthnu's face. Did he dare confront her?

Firis stretched. Thoroughly bored with the proceedings. Meridian's long tounge licked her forehead, tickling her. She fidgeted and watched the others.

You should try and make some friends. Meridian's cool mind voice slid into her head.

Anger flashed across Firis' face, she glared briefly at her bonded, and scooted away, her cloak dragging in the dirt and mud.

Your getting yourself dirty...

Shut up. Her eyes narrowed as she got to her feet. I'll sit in a tree, at least it doesnt talk back. Firis replied snobbishly. She scrabbled up a tall dead tree, sitting hersely on a large branch, she gazed at Meridian, then watched the other Chosen, and the small magical fire.

Airithnu sighed heavily, her eyes glancing about silently. The wind blew against her face, causing her hair to blow uncontrolably. She heard the howling of a wolf far off in the distance, and it took much power for her not to answer the call and join the hunt that this leader called for. She felt a pair of eyes on her, but instict toward her to not look, but stay alert. Instead, she stared into the fire, her eyes not leaving her egg, but her mind elsewhere.

Sorcha climbed off Etain's back and took her egg out of the saddlebag. He trotted behind her as they walked towards the group and put the indigo sphere next to the others.

Straightening, she stared up at the dark, cloudy sky. At least the storm had stopped. She sat down by the fire, opposite from Airithnu. Etain lay down beside her and quickly fell asleep.

Rena stretched, and walked around a bit, stretching stiff leggs. She then took some feather cleaner from the saddle bag, and started scrubbing Granit's wings.

Soon, though, they were sparkly clean, since the rain had helped washed most of the dirt away. With a sigh of boredom, Rena took out her bow and arrows, and headed a few steps into the forest. A few yards off was a tree with a big knott in it's trunk. Rena made that her target, and started randomly shooting arrows at it. A few missed the tree and went off into the forest, but they could easily be found. Others hit the tree, a few the knott in the tree, and one the very center.

When she was out of arrows, Rena went in and gathered them. She was carefull to keep an eye, two ears, and a nose on her surroundings...

Airithnu looked up and wiped the hair back behind her ears and looked at Sorcha and watched her fall asleep. She sighed heavily and knew that she wouldn't be sleeping this night...or any other, even though she was tired. She looked away from Sorcha and made sure not to look directly into the heart of the flames...not to bring back the horror of her past.

While gathering her arrows, Rena heard something to her left that sounded like a growl. The girl quickly pulled the last arrow from it's tree, and put it in her bow, and pulled back the string partially as she crept towards the sound. Soon she found herself at the edge of a clearing, and hid behind a thick bush. There she watched a huge three headed wolf devour a deer that it must have caught. Then out of the forest on the other side of the clearing came two more of the three-headed wolves. One caught her sent and howled.

Rena choked out of fear, and started running toward the others, and soon burste through the trees and amung the chosen.
"Cerberous... three of them! Heading this way!" she gasped for breath. A moment later howls filled the air, and a crashing was heard heading towards the group...

Adilya had been leaning at a tree nearby with her gaze moving back and forth between the fire and Rena's arrow shooting.

Bry sat about a few yards away. He was still able to see and communicate with Adilya, but he knew that she wished for her privacy right then.

When Rena left to collect her arrows, again, Bry took the initiative to speak to Adilya. Why the long face?

Nevermind, Bry, I am just thinking through life and what I am going to have to accomplish.

What WE are going to have to accomplish.

Yeah, Adilya perked up a smile, we.

Airithnu smelt the scent and she jumped up when Rena run up and she cursed. She never turned into a Cerberous, such nasty things. She looked at Rena and said, "Be ready. I will try to talk with them, but I don't really deal with there kind much...nasty devils, they are." And quickly, she shifted gracefully, after many hundreds of years of expierence, into a large female grey wolf and jumped into the shadows, through the bushes.

The first warning Kith recieved was the scent: thick, musty, and laced with death. The second was Rena's shout. Cerberus. He'd come up against a lone one before. These things were nasty and wasteful. He spotted Arithnu shift into wolf shape. He followed suit, straining to complete his shift. As a wolf he was tall and baulky, and his thick dark grey coat blended in perfectly with the night. He dove through the bush with all the grace of a wild animal, only a few yards behind Arithnu.
