"Time you're in?" she asked a bit puzzled, wondering if there was more to his comments than his obvious disproval of the currency system. "Well, there is a saying that money makes the world go round-or something like that." she remarked. "And unfortunately, it gets truer by the day. I'll admit that I love shopping every now and then, but it isn't hard to notice that the love of money has caused corruption and greed in areas of society."

Rubbing his head, Jason Hall made his way out of the high school. He had a throbbing headache and questions building in his mind - all of these voices echoing in his mind, yet no one was talking to him. It had been an odd day. Every time the teacher called on him, Jason had known the answer to whatever question was being asked. Even in math class.

Not watching where he was going, he bumped into another girl and knocked all of her books onto the ground. "I'm really sorry," Jason apologized, stooping down to help her pick up the books.

Terri stiffened for a second when she realised the person who had bumped into her was male. "Its ok." She said eventually putting on one of her fake smiles, it almost looked real. I was just on my ways to the office, its my first day." She admitted with a small laugh.

Becca opened her locker and took out her math book. She had skipped Chemistry already, to many flammable things in one room together. She had already managed to scorch the countertop this morning before school, but got away with it by blaming it on the toaster. She sighed and closed the locker door.

He leaned in closer and whispered. "I can stop time, and step through time," he said, and then stepped back a few steps. She looked like the kind of girl who'd believe him. She just had that look in her eyes. Though, she might not believe him, but wasn't his hello and his cloths enough proof?

Arielle stood speechless for a moment, a bit shocked at his revelation. Had she been any other girl, she might have laughed and thought him a joker. But his mannerisms and the look in eyes told her that he spoke the truth. "I believe you." she said solomnly. "That is a unique gift to harness such power." she whispered. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." she said in a hushed tone as she gazed into his eyes, hoping that he knew she meant every word. "I know how unforgiving people can be to those who are different." she said inadvertantly, thinking to her own powers.

"You're not like other girls," he said, running slim fingers through his long black hair. "Whether it be from the 16th century or 21st century." This last part was complimented with a one-sided smile, and a wink.

"And then despise you when they find out what you are" she added, her second statement pertaining more to herself than him. She looked Don hopefully. "Can you keep a secret?" she asked him in turn.

((I am so sorry, you guys. I have school from 8:00a.m. to 3:15, and then I have sports, and homework. It's hard fitting the internet in...))

Syneva paused when she heard two people talking, one sitting on a bench and the other standing. "I can stop time, and step through time." he said, she froze in place then moved off the path into the recently mowed grass, and set her backpack down, like she just decided to do her homework in that spot. She sat down, and pretended like she was trying to get something out of her backpack.
'Does he have powers like me?' she asked herself. She listened more, and got the hint that the girl had something strange about her too.
