Arielle nodded and drew in a deep breath. She then lowered her voice, revealing her secret verbally for the first time. “I have the ability to manipulate the weather-wind, rain, lightning, hail-almost any element that can be imagined. I discovered my powers some odd months ago when I nearly killed a man- a robber-with my lightning. Thankfully, my aim back then was poor and he was not struck, but he could have been. I also can create energy shields-to what extent I am still unsure." She paused for a brief moment before continuing. "Ever since then I have been trying to control my abilities-and I think I may have started too-but still every day I worry that I will lose control as I did that night” She sighed heavily then and lowered her gaze, not knowing what Don would think of her now-or if he would even believe her. How could he possibly want to spend time with her after knowing how dangerous she could be-or perhaps he thought her a lunatic? How could any one want to befriend her? she thought as the sky began to darken slightly as she lost some control over her powers.

Don listened, then staired at the sky, as if letting it sink in.
"I once met an elderly man by the name of Nickolas Lifebane. When ever he opened his eyes, what ever he could see would turn to dust. He found out about my power and said "Some have it better than others, while most have none of it at all. While those that have none of it at all don't know how trully fragile life is."" Don looked down at his hands. "When I found out about my powers, I had a bullet at my forehead. I had stopped time just in time."

Arielle nodded, her eyes glowing with appreciation for his words. "I am glad your powers saved you." she said softly. "And I pity your friend. To not be able to look at the world without destroying all that is beautiful-I would go mad. She paused slightly as if letting Don's words sink in. "And yet I understand his words. In this age, people idolize those with supernatural abilities in stories, yet they attack those that who are born with them in reality. To reveal what you are will almost certainly be fatal to you and all that you love."

Rebecca started to to walk off to class, but felt a tingling in her hand, then she felt in begin heat up. Oh, shoot, she thought a ran out though the front door. She didn't care if she cut school, this was too confusing. She ran into a a side street, and unscrewed her water bottle and started pouring onto her hand. The heat back down, then disapered.
Rebecca sighed. Her parents wouldn't be expecting her home for another few hours, so she head off down to the city park. They had a pond there.

"After you take care of what needs taken care of, maybe I could show you around. Would you like to go to the park?" Jason tried his best to offer a smile, but his headache was increasing.

Terri looked at Jason. "Um sure." She said, all the while thinking. 'Should i even do this, I could hurt him. What if he hurt me? I might kill him if that happened. I don't want to kill again. I never mean to.'

Looking into Terri's eyes, Jason felt his power working again. "I won't hurt you. You... killed someone?"

Terri looked at Jason, fear clearly showing on her face. "How did you know? How?" She started back away. 'He can't know, he can't. He will hate and shun me like everyone else.'

Jason looked terrified, realizing through all of the confusion that he had let something slip. "Please - don't go. It's a.. secret. I... I need someone to talk to.. Meet me in the park, I can't tell you here." Beginning to walk backwards, Jason eventually faded into the crowd of students and ran towards the park.

Terris didn't know what to do. She quickly ran to the office and as she waited she thought about going to the park or not. Once she decided, se left for the park once she was done. As soon as she was ther she saw Jason.

Arielle thought for a moment. “Hmm. That might make things more difficult. Possibly an ideal job would be as a historian’s assistant-if that interests you. There are also clerking jobs at retail stores, but you may have problems with the dress code. Maybe we could check the classifieds. They generally seem to have a wide range of options…” She broke off then as a troubling thought just crossed her mind. He would need an ID card and possibly a resume. No need to mention that yet, she thought. There are enough difficulties to deal with as is.

Don sighed and sat back down on the bench he had been sitting on originally.
"This may be a problem. Back then I was a glass blower's apprentice. I'm pretty sure they mostly have machines and high tech machinery to help make the glass now. Which is not at all what I'm used to. But, I'll figure it out," he said with a half smile...

Arielle nodded as she took a seat beside him. "I have an aunt who does glass blowing. Maybe she might be able to help." she mused outloud. "Only thing is we may need to get you an ID card as well..." she thought letting her voice trail off as she wondered what could be done.
