Anira looked around, feeling a disturbance in the air. Cursing under her breath she unleashed a torrent of light against a wave of attackers. "Beware!" she called back to the group. "There was a ripple in the balance. Not all is as it seems." With that she leapt off her mare and with sword drawn cut down another enemy before turning to face another creature.

Dainisle leaned against the tree as she watched the dark creatures attack the enemy party. She watched the little girl disappear and soon realised that she was playing a small game with them, for her amusement. She smiled at that fact and turned her attention on the enemy party. Unsheathing her rapier, she slowly advanced towards them, disregarding the creatures as she did.

Malachi turned around as the glint of a sword caught his eye. "It's an ambush!" But by the time he had said this, one of the dragon-like creatures swooped down and knocked him onto the ground, the sword in his hand falling out of his grasp and spinning down the path.

Name - Shade Lockhart (not his real name btw)

Occupation/side - he's an apprentice to his father.. (a gravedigger) his father totally hates him though..

Age - unknown.. he was never told his birthday or anything and he doesn't care to count.

Hair - midnight black shaggy-ish hair.. usually in his eyes (which annoys him)

Eyes - jet black eyes with a hint of dark blue

Personality - dejected, and moody.. Usually he doesn't show much interest in most things..
he's extremely clever but doesn't show it..
i guess you could call him a little bit shy.. he doesn't talk that much and his eyes are impossible to read.
usually most people avoid him..
But he has a very loyal spirit (if you stick by him for a while.) and sometimes he can be arrogant..

Appearance - He wears a long black cape with a silver brooch that is in the shape of thorns.. and as for the rest of his outfit, you can use your imagination

Powers - He can control snakes ( ) and he can creat huge ones.. but he's still working on improving his powers...
and he has some elemental powers yet to reveal themselves..

Weapons - He has one regularly sized sword that is draped across his back.. the hilt of the sword is red crystal and the handle is silver with all sorts of engravings on it.
and.. he has a short bow

History - he's an orphan, his current "father" (he refuses to call him that) lives in a small shack in the wastelands.. His father is a gravedigger and is teaching him to be one too..

Other - .. he is completely scared of spiders.. =P

Vondell heard Anira's warning, and looked over to see the girl gone. He ground his teeth. He had known there was something wrong, but couldn't think more about it as creatures started attacking. Vondell was distracted with trying to cut down the monsters that had come upon them. Not enough caution was used, he thought....

Anira glanced behind her in time to see Malachi thrown from his steed. Just as the dragon circled for a second attack, Anira formed her light magic into the shape of an arrow and pierced the beast in the chest, sending the animal crashing to the ground some distance away. "Are you alright?" she shouted at her comrade before turning her attention to another beast that moved to attack her.

Malachi peeled himself off of the ground before brushing himself off. "I'm fine... Anira, look out!" Thinking quick, he pulled out his dagger and threw it at the beast, landing in the creature's neck.

Anira stepped back as the dagger flew past her and buried itself in the creature's neck. Giving her thanks to the warrior she quickly turned her attention to another creature, this time using her light magic to strike it down.

Holly drew her dagger and jumped off her pony. Probable not the best think for someone of her height, but she felt better fighting on the ground. She thrust her dagger into a goblin-like thing's stomac, the hightest part she could reach.

Shade finally finished digging the graves that his father had assigned him to dig in the forest.
He dropped his shovel and immediatly leaned on a tree for support. He wiped a drop of sweat off his forehead and then just stood there, resting..
After a few minutes he started picking up some strange noiese coming from about a mile or two away... He listened a little bit longer, but decided that these noises were too curious to ignore.
So Shade found himself mounted on his horse, and cantering through the woods at top speed towards the odd sounds.
