Isabel set her spurs on Taran.

She knew they had a long way to go and the road to the southwest mountains wasn't easy either.

It was almost sunset.On the old road was none to be seen-only the silhouettes of 6 horsemen.

It was quiet.

In the past,after the First War between the Griffin Empire and the Demon Sovereign,this road was the main connection between the North and South parts of the Kingdom.But now,when the Darkness rose up again,nobody wanted to pass it at night.Few miles further the road enters in the Rosewoods-beautiful forest in during the day,but a dank place at night.

Isabel was silent all the way.A feeling of approaching danger grew in her soul.She was sure that they've been followed.
Again she looked behind her.
The sun was almost hidden below the horizon.Then Isabel turned forward.

The Rosewoods rose before the Knights as a wall of black trees and bushes.

"Here we have to go off the road"said Isabel."According to the maps we must continue southwest-through the woods to the Silver Caves.There we should find this Seer."The others nodded.Isabel sighed then continued."I have a strange feeling"said she."We have to be careful!...I'm sure we are followed..and the Rosewoods are perfect place for ambush..."

Seakas had been quiet the entire time, like his surrounds, listening to the whatever talk was done by the other knights. He was the last knight in there line, pulling up the rear, but he could still hear Isabel. "It's too quiet..." He said simply, looking around, his eyes darting each way quickly, trying to see if he could see through the shadows and find out what was causing this eerie stillness that was haunting the knights and their minds. He also wondered if any of the other knights felt the same eerieness he felt. I will simply have to stay on my gaurd.. He thought and he fingered his wrist dagger under his tunic, just to make sure it was still there.

Nienna's hands closed round the hilt of her sword, and she felt safer. A big chunky sword kinda haves that affect on people. She looked around at the others, sensing that they were suspicious of the woods too.

Anira glanced at the forest with mistrust. She had heard rumors of the dangers of these woods and as she gazed at the darkening abyss ahead she could sense the truth behind the warnings. Keeping her senses on high alert, her hand automatically strayed to her sword. "There is great foreboding in these woods. I do not like the shadows that haunts this place. No doubt something is lying in wait for us." she muttered to herself.

Isabel unmounted Taran.She took the reins in her hand.

The Knights were walking through the forest.The night shadows crept between the trees.It was quiet again.Isabel's senses were on high alert.

Suddenly the Isabel stopped.She took out her sword swiftly and made as if to strike the nearest tree.The others turned to her surprised.They saw a small body lying on the ground.It was an Imp,a small demon with wings.

"A scout!We've been followed!This is an ambush"shouted Isabel.She jumped on her horse and pulled out her sword."Prepare for battle"said she pointing to the road.

A small battalion of demons was marching towards them..

Anira looked up at Isabel's cry. With a slight smile on her lips, she unsheathed her curved blade and dismounted from her steed. Teleporting up to an opponent, she caught the demon off-guard, making it impossible for it to evade her stroke. Swiftly grabbing it by the neck she ran the demon through, ignoring the dark blood that splattered upon her. With that she swiftly turned and ran another opponent through, her quick, deft strokes cutting down those that dared to challenge her.

Vondell hadn't liked the feel of the forest. The air was too close, and the shadows too plenty and too dark for that time of day. He had also had the feeling of being watched. Vondell wasn't supprised when Isabel had uncovered the scout and the ambush. From years of practive, he took out his bow and started shooting arrows at the closest demons...
