Oooh. I read The Aeneid in English, and I liked it. Since I'm supposedly going to start taking Latin sometime this year, I'll probably end up trying to work my way through The Aeneid in Latin, too. It sounds like a fun challenge.

^ *thinks* I always liked reading Cicero; I love all his rhetorical devices!

Well, it's a challenge, all right. Sometimes it can be fun, though I'd like it more if we didn't have to write essays on it, you know? But yes, I really liked it in English, too. ^^

^ahah yeah, Cicero (actually in italy we call him Cicerone, so it's pretty funny for me to call him Cicero XD) it's full of rethorical devices, but it's pretty hard to translate, at least for me, so if I have to choose, I prefer Cesar...
oh and we're studying the Utopia of Thomas More too...I don't like the political ideas in it, but the idea itself is great...

I wish I was studying Latin. I would love it, seeing as I'm trying to get into it all by my lonesome right now. =]

As of right now, though, I'm studing Julius Caesar's The Conquest of Gaul, translated into English. It's really good, though not the easiest read ever. =|

Gah, excuse me while I'm insanely jealous.

It's really weird, though. I suppose ol' Julie didn't believe in dumbing anything down, merely smartening it up... One sentence can take up 1/4 of a page!
