Hmm... lets see... On guitar, I like playing almost anything, ranging from rock songs to classical guitar pieces.
I've been playing a bit of piano again (I used to play for 7 years, stopped, and I'm playing a little again), and the pieces I've been playing are New Born and Sunburn by Muse. I think I might play some classical pieces again, if I have the time to.
So basically, I like to play all sorts of different pieces on the guitar and piano, but I think my favorite style is rock.

i play the flute, and i was classically trained but also love to play folk music.
my favourite classical pieces to play are mozart's flute and harp concerto, faure's morceau de concours and john rutter's suite antique (especially the aria).
my favourite folk pieces to play are mary young and fair, the lark, and the town i loved so well (which i played with guitar and harp).

I play the guitar, and I mostly enjoy playing rock music...not something really complicated, I play songs from bands like sunrise avenue, my chemical romance, lostprophets, 30stm...then I like to play metallica and led zeppeling, and I'm managing to learn "horizons" by genesis. oh, and pink floyd too. and then I play classic stuff on my classic guitar...

Aerlinniel ó Eressëa wrote: Celtic music. But I really liked The Queen Of Sheba too, I had to play it for a concert, so.... ( uh, I play harp ) And on recorder/flute...I prefer folk songs...not only because they're usually not that hard and nice to learn, but I'm just completely in love with "She's like the Swallow".... Oh, and I loved "Lament for Gandalf" (for my harp) even though it was somewhat simple. Eh...an "Karma" by Alicia keys. It's beautiful; singing or harp, I don't care, I just love it. Hmmmm...And I love "Danza de Luzma" by Alredo Orlando Ortiz. South American Harp music rocks.
*starts singing* "She's like the swallow that flies on high..." I love that song! I'm jealous of your harp and flute playing abilities- those are two of my favorite instruments!
I play piano. I like classical, especially fast pieces. My teacher's always telling me to slow down. I like slower pieces, too. Some of my favorite classical pieces-
Tocatta in D Minor by J. S. Back
Milonga del Angel by Astor Piazolla
Prelude in B Minor by Chopin
Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven
Curious Story by Stephen Heller
Crimson by Robert Starer
Praeludium in E Minor by Mendelssohn. I haven't quite mastered that one.
I also like non-classical pieces, especially music from soundtracks (LotR, Pride and Prejudice). I also like playing a version of Danny Boy arranged by Joseph Martin.

^I haven't heard her version. I don't know who performs the one I've heard, but it's absolutely beautiful- unaccompanied, emotional voice. I actually downloaded it for free online- I can see if I can find the link again. (It's legal. lol)

I love playing movie music (especially LotR, PoTC, and Jurassic Park), but then I love...pretty much anything by Vivaldi. He's so much fun...

Hmm, since I play the Bagpipes, I play mostly traditional Scottish and Irish tunes. However, I do know some patriotic sets....Oh! And I know how to play the theme song from The Last of the Mohicans...which is pretty awesome.

On piano I like playing classical pieces that are fairly simple that still sound really cool...
Guitar I like to play different worship songs and pieces by Vivaldi and Pachelbel... anything, really, I love playing my guitar.
Violin I don't play very well but playing Celtic or Hebrew tunes is fun, and I love playing Amazing Grace on there.
The other instruments are just little things I don't practice much, but on pennywhistle it's Celtic music, panpipes Celtic as well, recorder I just play by ear, and on harmonica I like playing "You Are My Sunshine."
And on oboe all I can do is blow on the reed... which doesn't sound all that pretty... yet...

Fwee! There are so many violinists here! As it is, I've only just joined that elite group once again. Mostly, I've been playing classical music such as Bach and Beethoven. Although, I do have LotR, PotC, and PotO music books that I've yet to get started on. Anyone know where I can find string music for The Beatles music? All that's available is Eleanor Rigby..

I'm learning to play an accompaniment (sp?) to Into the West on my harp. I also love the Gypsy Moth. I can't play anything too complicated yet, since I'm just starting, but I love it. Being an Irish dancer, I'm obsessed with Celtic music, so I play some of that too...

I play bassoon. My favorites are "Una Furgima Lagrima" (A Secret Tear) by Donzetti, and "Dragons d'Alcala" from Carmen by Bizet. Not many good solos around for us.
