"Ælfthryth?" repeated Ælfthryth with a puzzled look. Then: "Ohhhh, that's my name, I think... aye, that's me." She thought for a while about the swing. "Well I don't really know," she trilled in her new and chilling voice. "It was a really odd thing. Didn't even see who swung at me... some drunken lunatic, I'd imagine. Is that why I'm a ghostie now?" she said, still not entirely sure of why she was a ghost.
She followed Taur's gaze and suddenly remembered the blood on herself. "Oh, that's not really real," she said, extending an arm and examining her bloody sleeve. "Some sort of ghost substance I reckon. I can't even feel it or anything." She watched a drop of ghostly blood drip slowly off of her extended sleeve, on to the floor and disappeared. She smiled sheepishly. "Like I said..."

(I gotta go to bed now too... nighty night, guys! )

"The blood isn't real..." thought Autumn out loud, "so, you appear in you ghost form like you did as a human? It must have been a very bloody end." Autumn winced.

(Well, I supose I should be heading off to bed, as soon as I finish my ridiculous homework (yes, I am working on homework after midnight.) Goodnight everybody! )

Starbuck poked her head in for a minute, slightly disoriented. She seemed to have fallen asleep sometime during all the action - coming from a different galaxy, her bioclock must also be confused. She might as well have been in a different time zone ... yeah, she'd catch up in a bit.

Elenriel hurried to catch up with the group. Her blood ran cold as she caught sight of the bloody apparition that was Haldir. She heard something about a swing, and drunken lunatic, but her mind could not fully process what was being said. Oh my god, what is going on? she thought to herself as she drew in a breath.

Will had lost all her appetite after the discovery of the murder and went over to the group who'd just seen Haldir, in ghostly form. "Don't you think it's scary..?" she said to the group in general. "You know, that there's in fact a murderer among us.."

Mrs. Haldir casually walked around. Although she acted as if she was not phased by the murder, she kept it all inside. Panicing would do no justice. She crossed her arms and wondered who could have committed such an act and yet, something seemed wrong about it. Some halloween party. she thought to herself. "I wonder who could have done this," she spoke outloud.

So... a murder ... and then their ghost showed up?

Yipes. Starbuck definitely had the creeps running up and down her spine. She'd caught the last part of the conversation with the ghost (again, sound carried well).

"Did she say what somebody swung at her with? A candlestick or a poker, maybe?" she wondered to the world in general. "Or what they looked like?"

[Morning now? o.O]

Aliana had fallen asleep....under the dining room table.

In vain attempt at seeing the ghost herself - being rather short and not very pushy, she was behind a wall of scared girls when the poor thing showed up the first time - she'd drunk her fill of wine and slipped under the table in a mess of giggles. "At least I'll be half drowned by the time I get to see her myself. Bodies I don't like, ghosts I can deal with," she'd said to herself.

Now she was awake, definitely awake. Rubbing the bump on her head from where she sat directly up beneath the table, she emerged from beneath the table cloth and almost immediately tripped over a pumpkin. "Curses...The pumkins are out to get me. Along with that blasted tablebottom..."

Kiri, walking past the room, saw the ghost, and, despite her Jedi calm, nearly screamed. But that may have been due to the nearly-real-looking fake blood. The next people coming down the hall would find her curled into a ball whimpering about "blood all over... White figure... blood... white..."

School ate my life. *sigh*

Shadowcat shivered, slightly disturbed by the apparition that was Ælfthryth. She was definitely awake now; she had pinched herself more than enough times to decide that. The fake blood was a ... nice?... touch. It added to the creepyness. Everyone else seemed to be in a bit of a disarray, and Shadowcat quickly classified herself as one of those people.

Starbuck made her way down the stairs, stomach growling. She entered the dining room, where Ellie and Aliana were, and headed straight for the coffeepot, where she attempted to resusitate herself. Steaming mug in hand, she surveyed the -erm- brunch items, which ranged from cold cereal (with candy corn somehow mixed in) in spooky shapes to more traditional eggs and bacon. Finally she grabbed a bagel and some sausages and sat down. "Quite a night last night," she remarked.

FF approached the table the next morning as she rubbed her eyes. Perhaps all that scary stuff was just a dream! But when she heard Starbuck's remark she knew differently.

She groaned and took a seat.
"I was hoping it was just some wacky nightmare."

That "Roommate Needed" sign had got to be one of the most misleading things in the history of the world. Melda exited the room in some haste, and made to prod the thing again - except now it said "Mrgggg RNeededIP." She squinted at it for a minute, then made to go downstairs, muttering about lax housekeepers and stepping on dead bodies when one woke up in the morning.

Breakfast sounded like a good idea. She flopped into a chair next to Elegost and was suddenly seized by a shrewd suspicion. "I don't suppose," she inquired of him, "your door said 'Roommate Needed'?"

"You mean it wasn't?" (response to FF) Kara (Starbuck) had awakened enough to be sarcastic. Of course, she wouldn't be fully operational until mid-morning; she always ran on autopilot until then. "Do you think it was a guest that killed her? Or maybe the butler dunnit."
