Surprised at the arrival of company sitting next to her, MB straightened up. Eyes still on where Kit was and the ghost of Ælfthryth.

She turned to Aliana and smiled, "Yeaaaaaah. But...it's a GHOST for crying out loud. I mean, you talk about them and hear about them. But actually SEEING one?! WHOA. It's a bit much to handle, considering I just woke up a wee bit ago." She giggled nervously. She was going to have to get used to the idea of the deceased woman being there. She continued to eat her second waffle when Ms JF sat down next to her.

She smiled at JF, "Morning." And then eyed JF as she was eating her SIXTH pancake. She started laughing and then wondered out loud, "I wonder if there's any french toast."

"Oh no!" said Melda, getting to her feet in dismay. "She'd gone out to see a movie! Can you tell what happened to her?" She ran after Kit out of the room.

Yep. That was definitely Starbuck. Melda gave an un-kitty-like groan.

Shadowcat nearly choked as she heard Kit.
"Someone else is dead?" she gasped. "Did you see anyone when you found her?"
She assumed the answer was no, but it was always good to check. She sprang up and prepared to follow Kit into the ballroom.

"No!" Kit gasped. "I just saw her body there and I just dropped everything! Oh, it's horrible! Why does this keep happening!?"

MB's laughter was cut short as Kit rushed into the room exlaiming that another guest had perished.

Surely this couldn't be right, she thought. One death is bad enough. But two?? In the same house, within hours of eachother? SOMETHING was going on.

"WHAT? she exclaimed. She nodded at Shadowcat's question. She stood up, forgetting her food, "Did YOU find her, Kit? What was she doing under the pinata?"

Realizing she didn't want to upset Kit any more than she already obvioiusly was, MB stopped. She needed to be level-headed and calm. They all did.

"Someone's a murderer, that's why," Shadowcat replied. "And since we haven't caught them, they're still killing people."
She looked at the body, then quickly looked away. Poor Starbuck. Poor Ælfthryth. Poor whoever was next.

Will rushed over to the Ball Room and stared at Starbuck underneath the Pinata. "Was this an accident too?" she whispered. Eventhough her voice was hoarse it was filled with suspicion. She looked at Shadowcat. "We should do something before someone else dies next..!"

Kit eyed everyone warily. "Whoever's doing this is going to pay! This is MY Halloween Fest, and if I want people to die, I would've DONE IT MYSELF!"

She led them into the Ballroom and pointed to the pinata, "Look. Umbridge's side is dented in. It must've fallen on her, but I'm sure I hooked it on correctly, so there's no way it could've fallen unless someone dropped it on her."

Ælfthryth was staring mournfully at the pancakes they were all eating when Kit came dashing in breathlessly, panicking about another death. "Someone to join me at last!" she sang out cheerily, flitting along behind the group of people that was hurrying to the Ball Room to look. "She should pop up any second..." she said excitedly, staring entranced at Starbuck's dead body. "I wonder if SHE'll remember who did it." She shook her head and tutted, staring at her own translucent reflection in the ballroom's mirrored walls, examining the silvery blood that was dripping from a head wound.

Nurr shook the rain off her jacket as she walked into the house. Life being what it was and all, it was hard for her to get to the party on time. She followed the sound of raised voices, and met the group in the ballroom. Her smile of welcome vanished at the panicked looks on everyone's faces.

"Hey guys! Uh...what's going on? You all look as if you've seen a gho---" she nearly choked as she saw Ælfthryth sitting nearby. "Ah...I really didn't mean it like that. But, what happened?" Her eyes fell on the bloody scene and the body on the floor.

"Oh. My. Word. What is going on here? Somehow, I think this was a bad time to come."

Will stared from the place where the pinata was situated on the ceiling to the floor. "Then the murderer should have acted with preciseness and accuracy to drop the pinata exactly on Starbuck." she concluded and she gazed through the Ball Room. She pointed to the door to the hallway. "The murderer could only have escaped through that door.. or to the balcony.."

On cue, Starbuck drifted down the stairs into the ballroom, joining the interested observers gathered around her body. Pushing - or fading - through the crowd easily, she knelt by the side of the corpse and ran a critical eye over it.

"That is not my nose," she finally announced. Peering up at the surrounding guests, she queried, "It really doesn't look that bad, does it?" She wiggled her own, slightly misty nose for their inspection.

"Starbuck.." Will said breathlessly "Do you remember anything of the one who attacked you?" She glanced at the others around her, quite nervous and added abit uneasy: "I'm sorry you died.."
