"Aliana, PD, Shadowcat, don't worry!" Taur fretted, afraid she had insulted them somehow. "I'm not saying anyone of you killed them, I'm just pointing out that you unfortunately aren't as clear as the rest of us, for thoroughness's sake. Please forgive me!" she tried to smile encouragingly. "But that was only for Aelfthryth's murder. Now, who left before Starbuck's murder, and how did Starbuck get into the ballroom in the first place? Wasn't she in the dining room with us before? Was she lured out?" Taur considered all these questions carefully.

"Suspects? More murders?" Autumn asked. "Can we just make clear what has already happened first?" All of this talk made her so confused, especially since she didn't even know all of the clues.

"Oh, of course! We'll fill you all in. Everyone was eating in the dining room again today when Kit found Starbuck dead in the ballroom, done in by the Umbridge-shaped pinata that had fallen from the ceiling. We discovered that the pin holding up the pinata had been pushed back in the ceiling after letting the pinata fall, and we also found a carrot near the scene of the crime. And we also know that both Aelfthryth and Starbuck were killed by something colorful." said Taur.

"Kit really does seem to not have alibies for the murders.. doesn't she?" Smeag asked.

"Killer-bait? We want to stop the deaths, not have another. Besides, killer bait wouldn't do much good since the murderer has got to know the goings-on here anyway." Oh, she was so glad she played Clue a lot. It would be a bit of help here. "Good summary there, but I've got to talk it out or I won't be able to make heads or tails of it.

"Now. What have we got?" She got into her organizer mode. "Two deaths. One at 8 last night, one at 9.22 this morning. Each was in the vicinity of the entryway. Here's one theory.

::Someone killed Ælfthryth for an unknown reason.
::Said someone may have seen Starbuck in the vicinity of the murder. While Starbuck may have not realized what she saw, this person is scared.
::Starbuck may have gone back toward the scene of the crime, as something may not have seemed right (if she saw something but didn't realize).
::Murderer is waiting for her to investigate, kills Starbuck, and retreats by way of the balcony stairs, and is able to return virtually unnoticed.

Now, where is Starbuck so I can see if I'm anywhere close?" Nurr turned to look toward the door.

"Kit sure leaves the room at the perfect moments, doesn't she? Convenient how she apparently found both bodies too..." Ælfthryth tutted and trilled on: "I mean, I'm not trying to pin it on anyone or anything... but it'd be nice to know who to haunt, you know? Ghosts don't really have much else to do."

"Hmmm" PD was lost in thought. She wasn't thinking so much about the facts that had been previously listed as she was about what Ali had said about baiting the killer. "I think that wouldn't be a half bad idea myself... baiting the killer that is." She looked around the room knowing that everyone would think she was insane. "and also keeping a closer eye on poor Kit.... but how can we even trust our friends anymore? Who knows if someone we're standing by right now did the killing?"

"Ælfthryth died first...under a doormat. Lots of blood. No clues were found as far as I know. Then Starbuck died in the ballroom, hit with the pinata. A carrot was found, and it was pre-meditated - the pinata's rope was pried from the ceiling and put back up but no one knows how, because it was hard for Kit to put it up there in the first place. Now can we decide on bait? Preferably someone that's not dead..."

"See, that's what she wants you to think," said Ælfthryth with a knowing nod. (about Kit, lol... argh, you guys post so fast!!!)

"I would suggest that we try and make a dead person look like they're still living, but the killer obviously knows who they killed, so that's out. So... is anybody in here magical? A somebody that can't die, or a somebody with special healing powers? Because that's the only person we could really risk using as bait, if we want to know who the killer is," Shadowcat suggested.
