Mrs. Haldir had woken from a restless sleep and made her way downstairs. She noticed everyone in the ballroom looking very uneasy and upset. She walked inside and looked up. She saw Montana hanging from the chandelier. She loooked away, "Oh dear, not another one!" she cried. "What in the world is going on around here?"

Elenriel groaned, this was turning out to be either the best Halloween event on the scary scale or the worst experience of her life. Not a third. she thought to herself. At this rate, we will all end up 6 feet under.

"Well at least, now we have some clues." she said. "Any chance they may have left fingerprints?" she asked, although she highly doubted it.

"That's it," She said. "I'm going to the police station! I've got to get someone!" Kit went off to get her coat and she waved everyone goodbye and head off into town.

++ Aelfthyth, 1st death --- under the doormat, saw something "colorful".

++ Starbuck, 2nd death --- under the Umbridge pinata, pinata fell on her, someone rehung the pinata. Found a carrot nearby.

++ MontanaBohemian, 3rd death --- hung from the chandelier, found scissors and rope and pulley behind plants on the balcony.

She chattered, unaware that the others were already trying to put clues together.

"Was there anyone around who had a fight with one of the guests, or disapproved this party? I mean, why are people murdered? The killer should have a motive."

Will took her handkerchief and blew her nose, somewhat too loud, but then she said. "So we have a killer, murdering at random? That's not good. And we're not even sure whether it's someone from our own party." She shook her head, she was quite at a loss how to solve this.

Alatariel emerged from the shadows looking rather pale and stone-like over the whole situation. She had arrived at the mansion the first night but had fallen ill on her way there so on arriving she went straight to bed. Waking the next morning she felt even worse so she stayed in bed all day. It was only this morning she was just starting to feel better...to find this. She crept over to Kit nervously. If there were a lot of murders going around, she would want to be near a friend, not alone.

She wanted to say something to Kit as she walked over but it seemed she couldn't find the right words to say at the moment.
