Kit knocked on the door of the mansion waiting impatiently since it had been raining <i>dismally</i>. "Come on, Yusef."
The door opened and the translucent light of the small chandeliers in the hallway illuminated the sidewalk. Kit was surprised to not see Yusef, but Illyna. "Illyna, you're not supposed to be answering the door. That's why I hired Yusef." Kit scolded.
Illyna nodded courteously and let Kit in, "I am zoh zorree, madamemoiselle. Yusef said he had ozzer tazk to do and asked eff I could watch ze door."
"What are you talking about," Kit began. "I never sent him off to do anything. Well, anyways---where are the guests? I have rather disheartening news for them."
"Zey are scatter'd about---I do not know who eez---" Illyna was cut off by Kit who stormed passed muttering to herself about insufficient staffing.
Kit peeked into a room and spotted the small group in pondering over the murders. Exactly as she left them.

[well Monty was found hanging from the chandelier with a message saying "beware" and Kit found a rope and pulley behind some plantpots on the balconey, and we think that Aliana is acting a little suspiciously as she has kinda wandered off with candy to posibbly bribe the killer from not killing her if they find her (but that could just be us) Kit's first post will tell you some of what's been happening]
JF turned round as she saw Kit enter.

"The Police say and I quote 'this is a very bad time to be having a curse and series of murders in a party mansion, really'." Kit sighed. "They won't believe me when I've said there have been----there hasn't been any more, right?---three deaths already and we can't find out what's been going on. They say they get "too many prank calls" about murders around Halloween---but this is real and they won't even believe that."

JF sighed and proceeded to bang her head against the fireplace wall. Rubbing her head JF replied "well they are just idiots aren't they?". "When they get a call saying there is a funny smell coming from this place, and they stumble across all our carcasses, only then will they believe you". JF was not happy with the local law enforcement.

"That's terrible!" Nurr exclaimed, overhearing Kit's remark. "They won't even send one person to investigate?"
She plopped down on the floor. "And just because Monty decided to eat peanuts doesn't mean I'm involved. You're the Grim Reaper, for goodness sake. You could be murdering everyone because that's what he does?" She tried to soften the words with a smile. "Not that I'm accusing you of it. I don't think that'll get us anywhere. So," she glanced at the looming pinata, "are we gonna break this thing open or what?"

"Aye, that be true!" said JF with a smile. "Sorry for accusing you" she said. "I just heard the word peanuts and immediately thought of you".
"Yes" said JF, determined. "I say we have at it" as she eyed up the murder weapon.

"I would like to beat something up at this point." Kit added. "I'll go get the bat from the back room."
Kit wandered out of the Ballroom and down the hall into the closet and looked to find the bat----
It was gone.
"... I know it's here somewhere." Kit muttered and looked through it again. It was just gone. "Oh dear...."
She rushed back into the room breathlessly. "Guys! The pinata bat's gone missing! Be careful! Maybe the murderer's using it as his next weapon!"

In walked Tar, at the last possible second, as usual. Of course she had heard about murders, but as always, had missed out on the all the "fun." How disappointing that she should run so late on the one day where there was any excitement.
"Sorry for being late, dears. I once again have shown my usual knack for arriving at the worst possible time." She said with a slight smile, looking around. "I say we just put our heads together and get this done quick, shall we?"

Ælfthryth stuck her head through the wall, listening curiously as Kit scolded the maid about the butler and his disappearing randomly. Weird... she thought, shrugging.
"Anyway, I'm off to mingle with the other ghosts in the attic..." she said cheerily. "They're throwing me a welcome party for my new found ghost status. You lot... stay out of trouble." She winked at them and flitted upwards, muttering something about herself smelling like rubber, before vanishing through the ceiling.
