Well what happened was Ianto had a girlfriend who was partially turned into a Cyberman. And he smuggled her into base in hopes of converting her back into human but he failed and Jack had to kill her. So Ianto was completely devastated by that.

I'll join! By the way, why hasn't anyone said anything nice about Owen? Poor Owen Harper. He's, like my favourite, after Jack and Ianto.

Oh, psh, so it was just mental pain. When he was saying that, I thought maybe he had cancer or some ugly disease that caused my poor guy pain.
That's so sad.....I want to hug him.
That was a good episode. Do we ever find out if the Pteridactyl is alright?

Awww. And of course I don't have the BBCA, and my parents have flat out refused to get it. I'm going to have to go to my friend's house and watch them all there. That'll be awkward...





So, I haven't actually seen Torchwood yet, but I've read enough about it to say, Can't we just love all these people?

I love Owen, even though he looks like a fish. LIke you, a think Jack and Ianto pown all, but I still adore Owen.

I just finished watching "They keep killing Suzie" That's the episode that really made me love Ianto. I mean, I thought I adored him before, but now the deal is sealed. The "Risen Mitten" and "Life knife" Ianto rocks! Not to mention the end of the episode:
Ianto: "I've still got the stop watch"
Jack:"Yeah, so?"
Ianto:"There are a lot of things you could do with a stop watch"

Awww... I just watched that episode. I almost cried. That was so sad! Poor Ianto! Jack was so mean to him.

I like Owen, I mean he's an interesting character. But just something about him bothers me. I can't really place it. Hmmmm....I mean, it's nothing against him. But something about him just doesn't sit right with me, and it bothers me when I watch him. Ha ha ha ha. Weird, huh? But, whatever. Jack forgives him.

i've never exactly warmed to owen either, though i can't put my finger on why. maybe that's how we're meant to feel about him, and the next series will explain what it is about him that bothers us.

you know, i was never too keen on jack when he was in series one of doctor who. he annoyed the heck out of me at first, and even though i'd started to warm to him by the end of series, i still wasn't convinced. however, by the end of episode one of torchwood, i was completely in love with him. i think it was probably because, like i said before, he became quite a lot like the ninth doctor (who i absolutely adore). i also thought you saw a really sweet side to him in torchwood, with all the little hints about his feelings for the doctor, and the relationship stuff in the episode 'captain jack harkness' (i won't say any more, cuz i don't want to spoil it for those of you who haven't seen it).

@MB: i totally agree with you about the last few minutes of the finale. i totally freaked and started shouting rather too excitedly at the screen. a-maz-ing!

@ethelfleda: I'm sorta the opposite. I like Jack a lot better in Doctor Who than in Torchwood. Yes, I adore the Ninth doctor, maybe more than I love Jack (and that's saying somthing) but that's just the thing: Jack is Jack, not the Ninth Doctor. Christopher Eccleston is the ninth Doctor: the mannerisms, the attitude, everything. And while I like how Jack personifies the ninth Doctor, its just that: a personification. Jack is better when he is "himself" like he is in Doctor Who. Don't get me wrong, I adore Torchwood Jack to the ends of the earth, but for me his attitude in Doctor Who is so much better.

@MB and ethelfleda: The last three minutes had me squeeing like none other. My two favorite characters....And next seasonJames Marsters? I might die.

I never really liked Ninth Doctor all that much. *hides* Not exactly sure why, but he just... sets off a nerve. Like some of you were saying about Owen. So, I prefer DW Jack to TW Jack.
