"I ain't your buddy." Sawyer commented "I ain't your neighbor and I ain't your friend. Now let me sleep." He rolled over and turned his back at Trista, hoping for some sleep which would help him get rid of that terrible headache.

"No.. no.. I'm fine. Don't worry." Jack replied and he gave Charlie and Claire a quick smile. "Please, call me Jack. " He couldn't break down he realised, he had to remain strong. He offered Claire the blanket she'd tried to take and then went over to Amanda and covered her with another so she would remain warm during the night.
Finally he sat down next to a fire Charlie had managed to light and stared at the flames.

Trista murmered something under her breath as she walked away. Soon she reached the guy that was pointed out. he was talking with another guy and a pregnant woman. "Um, could I stay by your fire tonight. I couldn't find enough wood to make my own."

"Um, could I stay by your fire tonight. I couldn't find enough wood to make my own." said a girl, interrupting Claire. "of course" she said, making space for her.

Jack looked up at Trista. "Of course" he nodded. "No need to ask that." Then he glanced at Amanda. "She probably will be but she just needs to rest for now. I think she suffers from the shock of what happened.." He stared into the flames again and mumbled more to himself than to the others. "We all do."

Suddenly Jack's thoughts were interrupted by a strange noise. It seemed to that of an animal but then again he realised that all he heard were footsteps. Loud as if a huge dinosaur was approaching. Nearby trees were ripped out and an ear deafening roar sounded. Jack jumped on his feet and ran a few steps towards the jungle, attempting to see what was in there.

"Can't a man have his night's rest?" Sawyer groaned when he awoke by a loud noise. Then he realised that it wasn't produced by the other survivors, it wasn't natural. His hand reached for his bag. Just mere luck that he'd found a pistol on the ground in the jungle he'd thought then. But now he realised that it might come in handy. As sudden as the noise had started it stopped again: the jungle was peacefull again and whatever had been there, was gone.

"oh my.."said Claire, as a loud noise coming from the forest reached them. she looked and saw some trees being ripped out. Jack stood up and ran towards the forest. then the sound stopped. "What t you think that was?" Trista asked to her. "I have no idea" claire said, still scared of what she said. "looks like there is some huge..thing going around this island..."

Amanda woke up by the noise from the forest. She opened her eyes and tried getting up again. She saw the woman who had been on her side before and another woman, sitting by the fire. "What...what was this?" she asked carefully.
