Hey, JF! Nice to see you back.
If I may say so, good choice of birthday film.
I can't wait for December, either. It's going to be so exicting to see AWE again, and all the special features!

Calloniel (PD) wrote: hmmm, that's interesting, Taur. Our Best Buy has very reasonably priced DVDs (for the most part)... they charge just as much as Wal-Mart or Target most of the time for their DVDs or CDs. where I live things must be more like where Anie lives.
I know my Best Buy overprices for CDs. They'll charge $20 for a CD I could get a Borders for $10-$15. Again, it must be a college town thing.

I think your Borders must. because I don't believe the one we went to (which is quite a ways away but it is the closest one ) sold their CDs for that cheap.... and their DVDs were quite expensive. I think the one I looked at was The Princess Bride and it was $25 or something like that. Which is a lot considering I can go to Target and get it for like $10 or so. It could be a college town thing....
hmmm, that is weird how different towns and states charge different prices. $20 sounds like our B&N and the $10-$15 sounds like our Best Buy and all those other electronic stores.

my mum is pretty much addicted to Johnny Depp and POTC (not as much as me i bet )
i havent bought many things from Borders, just a couple of books..they have way more books than anywhere else around here.whenever i go in there i end up having to drag myself away from the fantasy section.for DVDs i go to JB Hi-Fi.they have more DVDs and CDs than just about anywhere.JBs rivals Borders in the sheer size of the store.

Nice to see you as well.
I only hope I get to watch it on my birthday. I usually watch my film with my mum... but I honestly don't know if she'll manage to stay awake for three hours... she fell asleep watching COTBP.
Borders in the UK are really expensive, but they are useful, as they have a far greater range of books than anywhere else, so you can find things you never knew existed... and then get them cheaper elsewhere... that's great, JF! Well, I hope it works out and you'll get to watch it. no offence meant to your mother (because my grandpa did the same thing with CotBP and DMC ) but I find it so weird that people can sleep through perfectly good movies... or any movies at all. Guess that's just not the way I am. If the tv's on I simply can not just fall asleep. hmmm, this is really neat to compare the same store in different parts of the world. goldelf wrote: my mum is pretty much addicted to Johnny Depp and POTC (not as much as me i bet ) i havent bought many things from Borders, just a couple of books..they have way more books than anywhere else around here.whenever i go in there i end up having to drag myself away from the fantasy section.for DVDs i go to JB Hi-Fi.they have more DVDs and CDs than just about anywhere.JBs rivals Borders in the sheer size of the store.
hey, goldelf! another JD addict, I see?
yes, I did notice Borders had a bigger selection in a lot of things... but the price doesn't help them much. JB. I've never heard of that store. what's it like?

well technically speaking i'm an Orlando addict, but i'm fairly fanatical about Depp as well.
JBs is a huge store that sells pretty much everything to do with TVs,sound systems,DVDs,CDs,games and consoles, car stereos, etc.

Sorry, everyone, I've had the week from Davy Jones' Locker and almost no time to get on...
Calloniel (PD) wrote: I know how you feel! *pats Anie on the back* it is nice to have a "slacker" class (as you put it ) every now and then. Oh thinking early in the morning? My head hurts just hearing about it. your poor teacher. I understand though.... when I went to Drivers Ed some of the kids were just so unorderly and tardy and whatnot. It really is kinda disrespectful and annoying for the poor teachers. but what can you do? hmmm, well, I guess... not sure if Peter evens with Will but if you want to think he does.... yeah, our B&N has tons of CDs and DVDs. I thought they all did... that's weird! (not like it matters though because their DVDs and most of their CDs are way overpriced ) nah, that sounds like a good deal to me. we have a Wal-Mart and Meijer not too far away... and then we don't have to go more than 20 miles 'til we reach the bigger town where there's tons of stores that would carry new dvds.... so I guess I have it pretty good too. btw, just saw my first tv spot for the AWE dvd! me so excited!!! It was awesome! (although I missed the first part because I was trying to turn the tv up... I swear when something as surprising and awesome as that comes up I loose my mind... it's the strangest thing. anyway, it came up while USA was playing their special CotBP uncut edition.
Yes, but it's such a boring class it's almost not even worth it. Ah well, the class that makes me think is also the class that makes me laugh the most, so it's all good. I know! It's like they think just because they're there they need to be disrespectful. I will be the first to admit that this particular teacher is not the easiest one to get along with, but even so... No, he doesn't *really* equal Will but the MJ/Peter relationship is just so adorable that it almost makes up for not seeing Willabeth for a while. Anyway, Pete IS one of the cutest nerds I've ever seen.
No, my B&N has lots of books but that's just about it. Oh well. Maybe it's different with different B&Ns...I was in one in Oregon and it had a whole section for board games and stuff, while mine just has a couple shelves stuck over by the calendars and magazines. (The Oregon one had a POTC chess set, if Jack and Elizabeth hadn't been the King and Queen of the pirates I might've wanted it. And Beckett and Davy were the King and Queen of the Navy...I don't know which was which though! ) Well, that's cool! See, it all evens out one way or another.
Ooh, awesome! Lucky you!! I should go see if YouTube has those somewhere... (I know what you mean, someone just has to *mention* LOTR or POTC - or Spider-Man, now - and I'm all "WHAT?! WHERE?!?" It's quite funny. )
JF, I like that tradition! Have fun and I hope you get to watch it on your birthday!

Welcome back, Fae! it's been a while since we've been graced with your company.

That's too bad really because they could make it so much more interesting that's great to hear! at least it all works out and it's enjoyable. hmmm, that is really strange. Even if the teacher isn't the greatest you should still respect them... I just hate when kids are disrespectful and unruly... but who am I to preach about that really? So I'll just shut up now... well, I do like their relationship, and it almost does make up for not being able to see Willabeth in a long time. However in less than a month all that will be remedied and the starving for Willabeth will be over! We won't need 'make-up' couples to satisfy our want for Willabeth! very true... Pete is a VERY cute nerd. that's really weird. It's got to be each B&N is different... and maybe their locations help decide too. The one you were at in Oregon sounds like ours. we have a really big one. (I've seen the chess set but I had no idea who was in it or anything! Becky and Davy were King and Queen!? I hope Becky was the King! ) Thanks! yeah, you should check YouTube out... (lol it's "horrible" isn't it? Oh well... we are what we are ) Johnny's Fan wrote: @ PD - Lol, well my mum normally has a nap in the afternoon, so if we watch during her usual naptime... I can't really blame her for nodding off I suppose.
............
When does POTC come out for all you lucky Americans BTW?
ok. I guess that's sorta understandable... hmm, naps in the afternoon, huh? Oh I've been getting too much sleep lately... I hate the very sound of it! (well, not literally, but you know )
And lastly to answer everyone's question:

AWE is coming out December 4th in the US... which is roughly only 23 more days. *smiles down at helpful countdown in siggy and the reason I might be found dead of excitement and happiness on Dec. 4th *

when does it come out in the UK?

*storming in * WHAT! WHAT! *sputters* THAT'S! that's not fair.... I want it on the 19th of November too... maybe I should fly over to England that day and get it... then rubb it in the stupid stores and retailers faces here who don't care about us poor American Pirates fans! I mean... that's just mean we have to wait almost 15 days longer than you guys....
anyway, it's not your fault so I'll try to put on a happy face you you all...

hmmm, it is really strange. Maybe it's because you Brits rated it higher and I believe it made more money in Britain. (I think Spider-Man and Shrek made more than AWE in America, but I could be wrong )
you're right about that... but you still saw it before I did since I waited for the dvd. although with the dvd I got to watch the special short scene with Remy and Emile... that was great!

w00t! we get it on the 19th or the 21st,not sure which.not sure why either.
and ive heard that,as well as a blooper reel,it has deleted scenes! dont hold me to that though it might have been a typo.i wasnt sure whether it would have them or not cos CotBP had them but DMC didnt.

no i havent but i'll take ur word for it.

@ PD - That might be the reason yes. Although the UK also had it a few hours before the US in the cinema as well.
Ah, well if you had seen it in the cinema then I would have been 3 months after you.
@ goldelf - Yep, it does say bloopers and deleted scenes... DMC had deleted scenes as well. I only discovered that a few months ago, as it's an easter egg almost.
