In a small clearing surrounded by a forest, a group of about 50 people were mingling. A short man clad in a grey-green cloak, his dark hair speckled with silver stood off to the side, next to his horse. He was the famous, Halt. No, he wasn't here for an ordinary reason, neither were the other people. It was a meeting of the Ranger Corps, to disguss one main thing, what had happened in Celtica.

The sound of a pair of light hooves could be heard through the forest, and then, emerging from the shadows, came another pair of Rangers, one wearing a grey-green cloak, the other onl green. It was Gilan, and his apprentice (the first one ever, I might add,) Drake. Gilan spotted his old teacher, Halt, and rode up beside him, unmounting. Drake did the same, in silence.

"Ah, hullo old man." Gilan said, a huge grin on his still youthful face.

Will stood slightly behind Halt, in the shadow of a tree, scaning the clearing. He glanced at Halt, wondering if this would be the right moment to a question that had been nagging him for a few moments now, when Gilan, and his apprentice, rode into the clear. Well, question answered.

"Hey, Gilan," said Will with a smile as the ranger dismounted.

"Will!" Gilan said, grinning. "I have no seen you in a long time, Will. How are you?" He said and then motioned for his apprentice to step forward. "This is my new apprentice, Drake. I don't think you two have meet yet, but you are the same age, I think." Drake smiled slighty and said, "I've heard a lot about you, Will. It's great to finally meet you!"

History- like Gilan, is of noble birth, so was trained of the sword for awhile. He has 3 older brother, a younger brother, and a younger sister. But instead of persuing the life of a knight he bacame a Ranger for his father's feif, whome one of his older brothers are heir to.

Aaron, on his dapple grey ranger pony, Alka, cantered into the clearing, jumping off Alka before he was even stopped. Aaron ran towards where most of the rangers gathered. He had news to give to the Captain Crowely of the Ranger Corps. When his news was said, he went back to his pony and brought it to a place shadowed by trees so he could rest from his mad run that he had just taken.

Aaron walked Alka for a moment, and then looked around the clearing at all of the rangers. Only a few were recognizable. He recognize Merron who was one of Aaron's assessors when he graduated apprenticeship. Finally his eyes rested on Halt's group. Only once had Aaron spoken with the famus ranger, and that was only to give him a message. He was sure Cowely would want Halt to hear this message.

Aaron gathered up his courage, and walked up to the group.
"Sorry to intrude, but I have news that might intrest you, Halt," he said...

Gilan looked up and nodded at the messanger, glancing at Halt, and putting his hand on Drake's shoulder, who now grew quite.

Halt still kept a staight face, showing no emotion. He couldn't help but think a retort to Gilan's comment. 'I am not that old, but with oldness comes wisdom.' Halt how ever kept his thoughts to himself, but then opened his mouth to speak when he saw Aaron. "Speak." He said gruffly as he looked at the messanger with his dark eyes, his hood down so you could see his full face.

"I'm good," Will answered Gilan, then turned to Drake, "Nice to meet you too." he said with a smile. Then messanger came and he grew still, clearing his face, and waited for the news.

"It's the Kalkara, sir, one has been spotted in Morgaroth's plain. I didn't think it was possible, because it was thought that the last two had been killed by your apprentice. But I saw it with my own eyes from many miles off," Aaron said, a shiver going down his spine from the memory.

Halt continued to look at the messanger with his dark eyes, pondered over the thought about whether or not to believe that a Kalkara had been spotted. "You said you saw it many miles off. Are you absolutly sure that it was a Kalkara?" Halt stated plainly as he waited for a response.

Aaron nodded slowly.
"There was no way to mistake it's howl. It was deffinantly a Kalkara," he replied, knowing he hardly believed that there was another Kalkara himself. But he did for he had seen it, and so had others, but they perished from going too close...

Will in-took his breath sharply and glanced at Halt. He had faced a Kalkara before and was in no kind of hurry to do it again, "I thought the ones we killed were the last of them," stated Will, shifting his weight from foot to foot.
